A Ladder Tender is what the Ladder crew take to all calls where the big ladder is not needed. For example, Medicals, car accidents, mountain rescues and other BLS calls. This saves the wear and tear on the big ladder. These trucks have the same equipment as the big ladder and some departments might have pumps on them also.
@@AZFireRecord I'm aware of what exactly a ladder tender is. That's not my point. My point is that its stupid to call it that, and in general the idea is kinda dumb. Trucks aren't meant to sit and not be used. No wear and tear is being saved, just added by time.
@@spencerberklite5118 They take the tender and other ladder's go in their place. Which doesn't help as the tender's don't carry enough ground ladders to be worth it in most cases, despite having all the other needed gear. I've said it before and I'll say it again: if they want to do this ladder tender BS, they need to run Quad's, not medium duty rescues or triple comb engines.
Nice catches
Thanks!
That platforms such a beautiful rig...compact,sweeping lines,☑️☑️👍👍
Great catches! Very nice rigs at that one station.
Thank you!
Nice Catch, The flags on an ambulance is not a common sight kind of cool.
Nice bro
The only place where a rescue truck isn't referred to as such. Ladder Tender is a name I'd expect from Californians.

@@AZFireRecordwhat happens when they get toned to a fire when they’re out of the station and they’re in the LT?
@Stargazzer811 - Whats dumb is using a ladder truck on a medical call. Who cares what they call it? How did it affect your life? Did anything change?
