More people need to realize the positive side of philosophies like existentialism, nihilism, and absurdism: When nothing matters in the cosmic sense, the only things that matter are the things that matter to each of us personally.

Yeah I've been really drawn to these philosophies recently. Camus and Nietzsche are real treasure troves of wisdom, along with the other existentialists.

You may want to mix in some reading about Gödel's Incompleteness theorems and the Halting Problem as well.
The discovery in the 1930s that algorithms can't prove their own consistency and that some problems are fundamentally incomputable using logical systems is the exact kind of sick joke you'd expect in an Absurd universe.

I laughed; I cried. If we appreciated how short our lives are, and how valuable the present moment is, there would be much more love in the world. Each moment carries something beautiful that depends on our perception to see. Each moment is a hello and a goodbye. Sometimes it is to old friends, sometimes it is to flowers seen in a meadow. Sometimes one reminds us of the other as a now memory. I am convinced that I should watch this show now. Whats better than going on adventures with good friends, creating memories that create us and the love that we hold?

Well said man! The great thing about Frieren is that it dispenses with with grandiosity of adventure that most stories build on. That kind of narrative is all fine and good, of course. But the shear monumentality of time, and death, and friendship, is enough to make a great story in the hands of an attentive artist. Indeed, there is nothing better
