Happy New Year everyone! ❤️❤️ I wanted to start off the year with a fun sewing tutorial! let me know what your new year’s resolutions are & what kind of content you want from me in 2021!🥰
Chanel uses a chain along the hem to give the garment the desired weight and drape, I think it would really help with the flappy edges, that are opening up
Your tutorials make me feel like I can do anything. In fact, I started sewing with your wrap skirt tutorial and I’ve since then ventured into making everything from pants to dresses.
Hi Alicia ,I have to give you a big compliment ,it was so magical seeing you doing this project, marvellous, no darts no extras BEAUTIFUL , you cut the fabric and go, me being your opposite where all sewing laws are followed , needed see to believe was possible. Great video.
Wrapping paper is a good idea and cost effective as pattern paper. Never thought of that especially since its marked down after the holidays. I’m shocked how you made it work with the limited amount of fabric. Good job, it’s lovely.
Went thrifting right after I saw this video. Got some huge tweed pillowcases that are teal one side and Aztec designs other side. I wish I could upload a pic so you can see it’s going to look so awesome when I make this project. Thank you soooo much !
The buttons you have actually make it look more luxurious vs the pearls in my opinion and great video!!! I seen similar fabric and this is just what I wanted to make
Great tips, especially for preventing the lining from getting in the zipper! I had a backpack purse that I had to cut the lining of because it got very jammed in the middle of a trip.
So beautiful! 😍 Where do you get your fabric? I live in Minnesota and I feel like fabric options are so limited here and most big box fabric stores are expensive.
Does it work if I make long skirt with the fabric (ankle length) instead of a short one. I am a bit uncomfortable with wearing short things. I don't like it.
Hey question, so I made a tweed crop jacket but the neckline looks bad. I couldn’t get a clean finish. What should I do? Could I put a lace on the neck, or fur or something?
Love this!! I was wondering how wide your fabric was, and also how much you would estimate you used for just the jacket ! I wanna buy this specific tweed but it’s 29inches wide so idk how much to get!
@@AliciaYanson so I made a skirt, and it was too tight! I ended up making 3 skirts, 2 wouldn’t go over my hips and the 3rd fit but it was lose around the waist. I didn’t put a zipper on the skirt instead used elastic and I think that’s where I went wrong :(
to make a nice full fringe, you should cut the strips on the bias ... look up videos of global fashion workshop here on YT a real chanel jacket has a three piece sleeve to get a nice tight fit while still maintaining range of motion and have the sleeve vent more to the front, where it can be seen nice first attempt
Why do people always want to put buttons on clothing? Not a criticism of this video per se, I think it was well done but I think buttons are ugly things. I wish they would just disappear from fashion e.g. buttoned shirts are ugly.

Which kind of fabric are you using?
Does it work if I make long skirt with the fabric (ankle length) instead of a short one.
I am a bit uncomfortable with wearing short things. I don't like it.

🔥🔥🔥
Hi where do you get the fabric from really need to make this video gives me hope I can do it lbs
Great job! I love your journal :) Do you have a link you could share to it?
it’s the fashionary notebook!😊 i put a link in my description!♡
@@AliciaYanson thank you!!
What type of tweed is that?✨
how many yards of fabric did you end up using?
i was able to make everything with 1 yard!
you don't need darts for the skirt?
not for this one :) i traced it from a a-line skirt that has no darts!
How much fabrik did you use for the top?
How do you wash tweed fabric?
Belle video
How much material would I need for a size 10 US skirt ? And crop blazer
2~3 yards should be enough!
@@AliciaYanson thank you so much!

@@gurshanslife532 do you have an a-line skirt you already own that fits you? you can always trace it from that to get the perfect fit!
Привет из России и спасибо за видео 🥰
❤
so cool
I Miss your videos 🥺
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Please tell where you get fabric
got it from fabricville!
I want to try this but it will be really difficult because i don’t have a sewing machine 😢 (plus: i don’t have money)

Girl, I love your videos, but your background music is so stressful
i’ll put a softer music next time!😌
@@AliciaYanson I love the dress tho! You are awesome!
I don’t get how to background music is stressful, I really like its nice
@@Username78745 LOL, maybe I am overly sensitive, it was driving me nuts! I wanted to switch off the audio, but I also wanted to listen to Alicia ;-)
@@karin5487 tbh, this music is too calm for me, I'm a more of a like fun poppy type of music
Ужас ужасный .
