Thanks for posting this! I love seeing these and basically revisiting my youth. It’s also a trip to see the outfits and hairstyles-even when it makes me cringe! Middle school really sucked for me but TV shows back then were a lifesaver!
It’s so funny to see how people aged back then! I remember watching old Love Connection episodes and cracking up. This girl in HS looks like a 40 yr old librarian, especially when the teacher is chiding her. Recently, when my children saw my 8th grade school yearbook and grad photos they asked me why I look older in those pics than I do now @47 yrs old and they’re right I can’t believe how old I look lol
5 minutes in and the new girl is congratulated by and even has a normal friendly conversation with another band member. does this still happen? just seems now.. almost like we are in some kind of weird reality where decent, contented civility is lost. people seem so detached from each other. I get it, this is scripted for TV etc. but isnt there anyone else old enough to recall that these kinds of exchanges were fairly common? Friendly and thoughtful, generally speaking?
You guys are too old to know that phones aren’t even allowed on school property at a lot of school and even when they are people use that as a way to communicate the same way you are now. People still speak in the halls and play after school I’m 23 and I work in a school the kids are still kids just different.

Teaching kids morals and right from wrong. Showing them how to act in certain social situations.....what a concept. Seems so ancient. It's sadly missed in today's shows for teens.
9:4414:00-14:36 Sleeping Beauty was mentioned and played the same song from that 1959 Disney film. I guess back in those days ABC after school program had no problem using Disney as a reference. Not to mention that Robert Reed from the Brady Bunch appeared as the music teacher. I almost didn’t recognize him with the mustache and the different hair color.
The Sleeping Beauty Waltz was originally written by Tchaikovsky for the ballet of Sleeping Beauty in 1890. Disney just wrote lyrics to go with Tchaikovsky's score. So the orchestra is paying homage to Tchaikovsky, not Disney.
For the title of Two Loves For Jenny: What does Jenny from the block have to do with the Brady Bunch and the Adams Family of Susan Adams? Why did the producer want the Jennifer character to chill out and why was she absent from the show? Doesn't seem like two different boy friends are falling in love with Jenny.
Does anyone remember the name of the after school special of a girl I think was in high school and was playing a sport or cheering and got hurt snd went to the ER and the doctor I believe became friends with her the doc actress had her hair above her shoulder and the teenage girl had long brown hair and I believe they found out the teen has cancer and gets her leg amputated and the girl has a boy friend and I think there’s a scene where he decorates her face with makeup like a cat ugh I really want to see this movie again I can’t for the life of me figure out the name of the movie
@NatalieJones The Movie you are referring to has Kathleen Bellar & Marsha Mason in it , the name is “Promises in the Dark" & it’s a full length Film from 1979 , not an after school special …. Did you ever find it by chance ???

The hairstyles now make me want to cringe! Especially men's. It's down right weird looking.
@@joycebrackbill-henderly8311 Especially when recalling just how much time it took to get those hairstyles to look like that!

I didn't know Reba was in this. She was great.
That isn't Reba.
This girl has lips. Reba doesn't have any.
Brings back memories of my high school orchestra / cello - 1985
You were terrible. Glad you stopped after High School.
Mr Brady made Jan play the tambourine and she overdosed on heroin because she hated it. Jerk
Permed hair and high necked shirts with a ribbon around the neck was so popular when I was 14.
Omg I’m guilty of the permed hair lol omg I looked so much better before lol I was 13 what did I know lol

Absolutely. It's because we're living in the last days. The Bible describes what it will be like. And it's 💯 accurate.
Phones and tablets keep them occupied. Jennifer 😊
Yes people still say hi at school what kind of question is this

Must've stopped doing these in the 80's ... I don't recall having them as I grew in my teens .
I wish to bring back and revive ABC Afterschool Special and replace local news First at 4. On most of ABC stations.
They need to bring this back 🤗
does mr brady give her aids??
Well made with excellent performances it reminded me of the Richard Dreyfuss movie The Competition.
I love watching after school special movie like this one
I thought I had watched most of these. Dont remember this one.
Beautiful little movie ,,,
does mr brady tell her he is HIV+ before they have sex? did they use a condom?
Hey it's mike brady!
Ikr!! 💗💗💗
Gay or straight, or even bisexual, he thought he was just SO cultured.
My thoughts exactly it is Mike Brady.
does he give her aids??
Equal opportunity doesn’t mean equal outcomes.
I think this is where Nick Cage must have gotten his southern accent.
RIP Robert Reed from The Brady Bunch.
SPOILER ALERT. "I'm sorry you lost"- damn. He did win the silver medal.
why wont anybody tell me if she gets aids? do u kno?
doug is a sore loser
Who's Jenny?
It’s Lucy Ewing’s BFF Muriel Gillis from Dallas!

@@sarahrosencrans692 That is so cool. I never knew that. Thanks for letting me know. 🙂👍
I recognized him right away .
are you talking about Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty? I dont understand why you think Walt Disney wrote it, its a bit appalling
@@sashanealand8315 Lol. In my defense, when I was a kid, I only knew of this song from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.
It was an ABC after school special
Douglas was being bitter and jealous towards his gf, someone who he was supposed to care about. That negative attitude would’ve never got him a win!
does mr brady give her aids?
So wth? There was only one boyfriend and nobody was named Jenny.
This is the guy from starfighter
Anyone else click on this cuz they share the name Jenny? 😂
Lance Guest...starfighter
Mr Brady is the biggest star they could get….
@natalieschannel7675
Wonder if he was as big a complete shit doing this as on the Brady Bunch 😏😏
The guy is so tall and l don't know why
Cool
The song played where Jenny goes to look for him at the park on horse. Does anyone know the song? I would love to add it to my music collection
The title is "Between Two Loves."
Does anybody can tell me what melody is Jenny playing at her a
Was this from the PBS "Wonder Works" series?
Kid Mack no, it was an ABC after school program
Yes.. its a series where Mr Brady gives ‘eggheads’ HIV to toughen them up

Is this title correct?
She looks like a young Reba

What is up with the adults in these afterschool specials? The music teacher played by Robert Reed comes across as a condescending jerk
Jenny, I got your number.
Reba isnt the young girl is she?
I dozed off at one point after her audition and thought i was hearing Sissy Spacek there for a bit. Pretty sure Arkansans don't sound that hick!
Does Mr Brady tell her that he is HIV+ before they have sex? Did they use protection??
Wow I can’t believe you said that
