I've heard the Stones. I've heard the Sundays. This one gave me the chills. She has the winds coming across the fields in her voice... absolutely beautiful.
I'm amazed how the Stones came to write such a sad love song like this, but i could never imagine them delivering the song as Susan has done here, it's absolutely the epitome of music that makes us feel human. Heartfelt, windswept, you name it. Makes me wish we all returned to having a heart.
This woman is incredible...such an inspiration...to say they actually laughed at her first additional appearance....who's laughing now ...? Crying more like ..this particular version gives goosebumps...
You know; I'm 57 years old now. All of my life I have listened to fine music. Orchestra, rock, blues, new age, European techno and so on. When I heard Susan's version of this song "Wild Horses" I was emediatly set back with pause. I was raised in the e upper peninsula of Michigan on a small farm. My point is when we listen to fine music it can make us remember the people in our lives. I'm the only. One left in my family. When I go the Becker name finished. So be good to the people in your life and cherish each and every moment you have with them.
Andrew, thank you so much. I will take on board what you have said my friend, and try my best to do just that. Peace love and best wishes from Liverpool uk. 👍
The key words are - Fine music can make us remember people in our lives, not just any music. Also, it doesn’t matter where the singer comes from. A singer from Scotland who probably knows nothing about a small farm in Michigan, yet here she was, touching your soul with fine music.
Andrew your name will live forever, and you and your family will never be forgotten by the most important person GOD. Your relatives in heaven are praying for you. God bless you, give you comfort in your heart, strength , and peace. Andrew you are never alone GOD is always with you. ✝️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 We are praying for you.
Sweet Lady, I'm a 67 year old Texas woman. It's Oct 1st, 2023. I'm still listening to your absolutely beautiful voice. God bless you, and thank you with all of my heart!
Big call! She's up there with some of the best though. Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald, Edith Piaf (all pre-autotune and pitch "correction "), which imho, sucks the soul out of even this amazing recording.😢
During the pandemic in 2020 my lovely dad collapsed with a stroke and then diagnosed with a brain tumour. With hospital visiting only permitted for end of life patients and limited to one visitor we decided to nurse dad at home. I moved back home to nurse him and this song sums up exactly how I felt …. Wild horses couldn’t drag me away. A really traumatic time where our hearts were breaking but so grateful to have had him at home for the last 6 weeks of his life . Everytime I hear this song I am taken back to that time and although sad it was a precious time with my wonderful dad.
There is such purity and honesty in this version. No wonder Mick Jagger said this version was much better than anything he had ever done with the track despite it being such a personal song that he co-wrote with Keith Richards
I like Susan Boyle. She does great job with this song. I own this CD. But she is not in my Top Ten of best singers. She’s good, but if you want a female singer with no training, there was a shy, insecure drummer who dominated the early 70s and had a perfect voice, Karen Carpenter. Did most of her records in one take. Don’t let the syrupy ballads fool you, Karen had great range, phrasing, and connection.
@@markbrisson2102 👍 I would also include Alison Moyet on any great female singers list. You're spot on about Karen, what an absolutely incredible singer she was.
Sometimes the pain of a life shows itself in the voice. Susan's incredible voice is full of a type of sorrow but also love. Her voice can bring on tears. Truly wonderful.
Yes, I remember when she was on Britain's got talent. I worked as a property manger in a very exclusive gated community in Santa Fe, NM USA, and one of the Home Owners who was from Sweden originally (and in here late 80's ) & I were taking about watching Mrs. Boyle and she started to cry! We both just could not believe how brilliant her performance was! Susan Boyle emerged from her shell and exploded onto the world and the world responded by embracing her talent! She is a hero of mine. Best Wishes Susan Boyle!
I've listened to many versions of this song, each unique unto their own, but THIS is the definitive, this is how this song is supposed to be sung. you make me feel better.....Wild Horses couldn't drag me away
Susan Boyle was such an inspiring story. For all the manufactured pop from all these shows. She really was special and unique. This song is hauntingly beautiful and her voice is so powerful. Everytime she says wild horses it's so touching
It chokes me up every time I hear Susan sing Wild Horses. We all guess at the meaning of this beautiful song. What I hear is unloaded emotions at the nearing of a dying loved one. Two individuals who had a difficult relationship during life and now all is being forgiven as God commands. It's about forgiveness. No one does this song as perfect as Susan Boyle.
As a person who usually dislikes the high pitch of soprano I have to say this: You are a Gift from God to all of us. Thank you so much. You give goose bumps. Love from North Carolina
My husband was always a fan of Rolling Stones so I've heard this many times but I never realized how good this song was until now. Makes me want to cry it's so beautiful.
Wazza brought me here, thought his pre-game music would've been a little stronger. Lying down, getting a massage, with this tune soothing my ear canals - would send me to sleep!!!
I wish that she had won AMEEICAN GOT TALENT but she is already a winner.these song,is sending chills down my spine.i would love to go to one of her concert.this would be such an ,aswome treat.love susan boyle

She's amazing
Such a beautiful version 💕
I agree
People mock Susan Boyle, but she’s a brilliant talent. Her voice is astonishing. It arrests me, and gives me shivers. It’s really special.
Quiero oír cantar así a los que se burlen de la hermosa Susan.😡
Anyone who would mock this artist is a moron.
Who mocks her? A jealous “can’t do it themselves” dufus.
She is one amazing lady who deserves every bit of success she has
Agreed
Who is listening Dec 2024? If only the world was as peaceful as Susan Boyle’s voice makes one feel.
I’m here Dec 24 and sad😢

This woman's voice brings me to tears. It astounds me. Wow. Wow. Wow. Nobody has ever been able to affect me like this with their voice.
Check out Happy Rhodes, Nina Sung, Sarah McLachlan, and Ann Marie Nacchio.
Me either and I'm 80 years old. I've heard them all. She sings to your very soul. Bravo Sarah.

'Otherworldly' is the only word l can think of.
This is why I love Simon Cowell. He suggested she record this. He has her voice at the perfect volume in the mix. It's hauntingly beautiful.
You're acting like he's a producer and Simon an Co. Initially laughed at her because he assumed she'd be useless.

I played this song at my mum's funeral 😢 miss you mummy xx
It's her song. It captures the pain and love that is in all of us, but Ms Boyle was born to sing this song. She is one with the words. I love her.
Literally connects with me at a spiritual level....
I actually cried
we all cry at this 😊 good to know we are still human ;) That there is still a heart in there no matter how society conditions us.
Damn, i feel the same way
Hearing Susan sing this song brought tears to my eyes as well !!!!!

Susan does it better than any version I've ever heard.
I didn't know that. Nice acknowledgement of how well she sings it. I suppose great songs take on a life of their own.
Fab version, absolutely beautiful

I believe she is above all of them. A voice like Susan Boyle comes around once life a time
For how much i love Susan this is indeed a Barbra's song There is just something more pathos in the Streisand voice Or in the best Celine

Childhood living
Is easy to do
The things you wanted
I bought them for you
Graceless lady
You know who I am
You know I can't let you
Slide through my hands
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
I watched you suffer
A dull aching pain
Now you've decided
To show me the same
No sweeping exit
Or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter
Or treat you unkind
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
I know I've dreamed you
A sin and a lie
I have my freedom
But I don't have much time
Faith has been broken
Tears must be cried
Let's do some living
After we die
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
We'll ride them some day
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
We'll ride them some day
