3:11 You see this is the benefit of taking house of warriors and having a bunch of children. It’s very easy to make knights as opposed to just finding them and if you don’t particularly care about children 4-12 there’s always a battlefield to send them to. One particular fun and useful strategy is sending those children to a culture that has knighthood so they can get the prowess trait that you get from being educated as a squire. Prowess is technically kind of separate from your education level trait so you don’t even have to necessarily go that deep into finding out where to send them. Just some tips if you end up with too many kids
50:55 as for educating your heir it could be worth it finding someone who can educate him so he can get the Republican vassal trait. Also I vote your quick son as the heir. Feel like the trait is more important than the opinion negative from changing it and him being a bastard
RE: Daughters - just as an FYI, you can use your influence to put your daughters in charge of administrative titles. They'll have the usual female ruler issues with their vassals and peers once in charge, but it's definitely an option. RE: Tutoring trip (travel option from Inspector lifestyle) - this is really *only* good if you take it early, because it only applies to your primary heir (unless you're willing to mess with your heir designation just to get the benefit.) If you *do* take it early you're less likely to have the mitigating modifiers to make your travel relatively safe. You also need to have your heir in your court, so it will not be any good if you ship your kids off to be educated elsewhere. I've yet to get much use out of it, even though it does sound nice in theory.
Administrative as a pagan is always funny because you are 1000000% incentivized to run a eugenics program. Gives me fond memories of playing merchant republics in ck2
Artemios (the bastard) seems like a perfect main character after your character dies. I think you can arrange plying as him with the favourite child option. P.S. Every time I hear Zacharias I think of the Zacharias the Lich from Wrath of the Righteous ( you made him quite fast mortal, though).
I think in 28:49 reason why olive plantation wasn't upgraded it is because building can't be above villa level
I think so, too. That's good to know. It reinforces that the main building should take priority when choosing what to upgrade first.
