What’s amazing is that, even without remembering these themes, you can easily reconnect them to the characters they represent because of how distinct they are. Yeah, I was just thinking about how well Osvald's fit while just sitting and listening before his final battle. Dohter the Charitable would be represented by Caswell the Herbalist. Similar role to the Apothecary. He'd wield Axes and Daggers. Alephan the Scholarking would be represented by Trish the Mechanist. She'd wield Bludgeons and Bows, with different gadgets she can use to find and exploit weaknesses. Sealteage the Lady of Grace would be represented by Oliver the Bard. He'd use Bows exclusively, and use his songs to heal and empower allies. Brand the Thunderblade would be represented by Presea the Mercenary. Basically her job is Warrior with a different coat of paint, but with Swords and Axes as opposed to Swords and Spears. Drafendi the Huntress would be represented by Archie the Trapper. He'd use Spears and Daggers and have a counter-based fighting style. Bifelgan, the Great Merchant, would be represented by Tisiphone the Noble. She'd use Swords exclusively, but other than that, it'd just be Merchant with a different coat of paint. And finally, Aeber, Prince of Thieves, would be represented by Hannah the Acrobat. She'd exclusively use Daggers and have a toolkit focused on evasion and disruption. As for the overall themes of their journeys... Omar's would be Justice. Cast out of his order as a falsely-accused heretic and oath-breaker, he seeks the true culprit of his supposed crime. Caswell's would be Life/Health. Born with a debilitating illness that shortens his lifespan, he seeks a cure. Trish's would be The Future. None of her patents have really taken off, but she still seeks to improve the lives of everyone with her inventions. Oliver's would be The Past. He seeks out legends of old to tell the world about them, possibly even making a legend or two of his own along the way. Presea's would be Revenge. A fellow member of her mercenary troupe slaughtered the other members, save for her, and she is PISSED. Archie's would be Knowledge. He seeks to catalogue the unknown beasts of the world, especially one elusive beast that his mentor dedicated his life to finding, albeit unsuccessfully. Tisiphone's would be Prosperity(for everyone, not just herself). Her sheltered upbringing leaves her rather naive about the world, but once she learns what the commonfolk have to go through, she wholeheartedly steps up to the plate to hopefully give them a better life. and Hannah's would be Redemption. A former assassin who nowadays is part of a performing caravan. Her past catches up to her though, and she finds herself searching for absolution.

Going to thoroughly enjoy this... until SqEx takes it down. They're pretty brutal to the fans in that way; won't do a good digital release of their album in the west, but won't let people put it on UA-cam either.
I wonder that you specific use this scene along with all of the musics because you want to send the message to SQEN that they should not lay their finger on decent OST yet again? SQEN remove all Octopath traveller 2's ost from youtube lately.

Honestly, I’d recommend skipping the first, and going back to it if you like this one.
I absolutely love 1st one, but just skip it, 2 is better in everything (maybe not in difficulty, cause 1 is harder) but yeah, píck 2
Although 1 was more fun for me personally, 2 is the better game by FAR. It improves in every way and aspect, with the ONLY worse change being that you can't unequip items from characters not in your party anymore but that's litteraly it
I'm not usually a big fan of brass instruments, but this is really good.
Themenos ost is like :
"I asked two time, i will not going to do a third. The trues will comes out at the end of this."
Comparing those to Octopath Traveler 1 versions, you really can tell they did a serious upgrade to the pursuit of themes.
10k of the reproductions are probably on me
Ochette, "because the first choice is always the most important"
Casti, "because some people can't be save by common medicine"
Themenos, "because the truth is always hidden behind the flame"
Osvald, "because love is the only, and true magic"
Partitio, "because the most valuable thing can be sold for 1 silver coin"
Agnea, "because Hope is the most beautiful song"
Throné, "because liberty is the key for all treasure"
Hikari, "because you're not just blood, you're far more"
Everyone: Hype buildup
Osvald: Pirates of the Caribbean
8:31
Odette's is surprisingly the most hype one.
HENKEI CATAPULTOOOOOO
Hearing Casti's section reminds me of Kara's theme from Detroit Become Human.
What about In Pursuit of Applause?
5:17
You can do in pursuit of revenge + for the dawn please ?
I want to see analysis of the 8 stories.
This track is more fire than Rita and Elena.
I loved the OST of this game, but I must say I've got a little disappointed about the characters "pre battle" themes, they're just... remixes of their intro themes
That’s kinda the point. First game did the exact same thing. It’s kinda like saying, “hey. This is my boss. Doesn’t belong to anyone else.” So that it makes every story feel more unique.
