In my opinion, the two current channels that rival enygma in quality are "Henrique Mendonça" which you have already seen one of his songs and "novatroop" which is my favorite channel, and I recommend the novatroop song called "simulacro perfeito"
The captions were broken because youtube tried to translate it to english, but because of the way they are made, with a lot of animations and stuff, the translation just glitches out, but hey, some artists, like Henrique Mendonça, have english specific captions, so i recomend you take a look, just remember turning it on and selecting the english option haha
When the braziliian Nerdcore community encounters someone reacting to the songs, a lot of us get excited about it braking the brazillian bubble, so it's very understandable if it gets somewhat overwhelming with all the recommendations. There are truly *a lot* of different songs out there, but don't feel pressured to cover them all, just keep doing you man, great video.
Good Reaction, I recommend "Palhaço Assassino" - Enygma, It has English subtitles and is a great song, it even has references to when he participated in the biggest geek music channel in Brazil, 7Minutoz
Wow, once a week is really very little, our best and most frequent artists post 1 song a week, So it ends up that 4 channels or more post songs per week.
i was about to comment about the copyright incident that made the brazilian geek scene start doing manga animations, but i just saw someone comment on it, so i will just add a little fun fact that we went through a lot of editing styles to get to this manga "standard". when people couldn't use anime scenes anymore, editors started experimenting a lot here, you can actually see some of the different editing styles that became a trend during these years through the channel 7 Minutoz (they are the biggest geek rap channel on the world, and the first one in Brazil. when the scene wasn't as stable as it is today, usually whatever 7 Minutoz did would set a standard for smaller channels, and this applies to the video editing). starting with their Akatsuki cypher 4yrs ago, they would mix anime footage while most of the video would be a PNG of the character with lyrics on the side, a style focused on typography and much less risk-taking with the anime footage. this went on for their further releases. 1 year later with their Hokage cypher they started implementing more of the anime footage, but keeping the idea of a static image with more focus on typography; they would let a clip play and pause it on the rythm, cutting the character from the background. needless to say, this idea of having a static image of the character on focus is what made people start experimenting with moving manga images, alongside with the need of using footage that wouldn't get anyone copyrighted. Trio Monstro by Basara is a remarkable song in terms of the editing, because it was taken down due to anime scenes and later reuploaded with manga + typography, i would say it was this one that made people really start investing in editors that could do manga edit, and editors to start learning how to do it. big channels spend a LOT of money on the visuals for their videos and that's awesome, it's become a matter of providing the audience a multimedia experience, even more now that most channels are doing less typography and have custom subtitles in Portuguese that add to the feeling of the video (that's why youtube auto-translate is so wonky, theyre specially coded in portuguese and not everyone takes their time to actually translate it)
About the manga animations, before, some years ago, geek music artists here also only used anime clips, but that was until a lot of videos started being taken down, i think specifically for the One Piece ones, and i remember it getting to the point some entire channels got taken down, like Daarui, and past that point because of copyright stuff, it all changed and the these bigger geek music artists started making these beautiful animations instead.
I don't know properly , BUT i think that. In 2019, anime clips are given copyright in geeks' musics and to pass this problem, they started to use mangá panels, bu allong that time, this transformed in a more normal thing in Brazil geek music.
In my opinion, MMV is a lot more interesting because it is a direct translation of the author's manga art. Of course, it will be heavily influenced by the editors, but the work was made directly from the manga art.
Congratulations on the reaction... Enygma is one of the best geek artists in Brazil, the songs are quite intense. Some songs have English subtitles. Abraço.
explaining why brazilians use manga edits and why it is so good here: So, about 4 years ago everyone who made geek music were copyrighted because of using anime clips, and it was something that impacted in the whole scene of geek music, and now they use manga animations to avoid copyright. Personally I think manga animations are a lot better and I respect the editors and animators for this.
React very good, gained another subscriber. It would be really cool if you reacted to okabe's toji fushiguro, it's a more "aggressive" proposal, very good
