In real match mostly hero can trigger negative defend is mage, because all hero has low magic def than pisical def Just use Divine glave and genius wand all mage can reach negative def. On pisical hero. I think old dyrot can do it + other flat pen
@@pragus4378 Magic penetration is not the same as lowering magic resist. Just got into practice lobby to test it out. at lvl 5 layla has 25 magic defense. Mages can rush genius wand which reduces enemy magic defense by 9 at 3 stacks at lvl 5. So layla now has 16 magic defense. If we have assassin emblem lvl 60 (14 penetration)+arcane boots(10 penetration) it doesn't mean layla now has 16-24=-8 defense. Penetration is applied after enemy magic resist was lowered,but it cannot make it negative. So layla has zero magic defense,but only for us. It means we are doing true dmg to her at this stage of the game. If we want to lower enemy magic defense into negative there are only 2 heroes that can do that in the game. It's sylvana and harley. By rushing genius wand they make most enemies have negative magic defense
@@arigatameiwakupenetration, more specifically *flat* numbered penetration does work similarly as reducing target's defense, only for the one that *has penetration.* Attacking an enemy with -15 defense is same as you having 15 penetration while enemy defense is 0. What i am saying is that the person you replied to is basically telling a way to achieve similar effects as if enemy had -60 def.

maybe you should add that its difficult to drop defense in game to -60 because all heroes have a base defense that increases with level as well. And also not so straight forward interaction between % defense reduction, defense reduction, % peneration and penetration. all of which could be spilt into physical and magical... side note, the positive effect of defense is also likewise: 60 def = 50% damage reduction (can someone help to confirm the exact figures). only difference is there is no cap for positive defense (i think; not 100% certain). However because the relation between defense and damage reduction is not linear, additional def will reduce the damage but at a decreasing rate~

The penetration items have to be nerfed because of how little defense there is after the fragility update, and add more penetration items, while nerfing each one, but at full build you should still have the 30 penetration. Fuck Assasin meta, it just forces even tankier picks

If all enemies for some reason hav outrageously high def (400+), then malefic roar could be a choice. Otherwise, wasted item slot. Hunter strike, blade o heptaseas and that item that gives 12 phys pen is better.

@MLQuickGuide We know that %Pen is applied before Flat pen so, ideally it would be possible to reach negative pen if you have Flat and %Pen together but this only applies to heroes that don't have innate pen reduction in thier passives like Saber & Harley for eg. For them getting Flat pen is the priority. Have you watched StrongWill Game Theory, I feel your videos are very similar to his!

Nope. Blade armor works like charm against CRIT heroes. Any CRIT will do. They help drop down their psy power too by high psy def. But for trinity whose main forte is att spd? Domi still better. Or yet you could tandem those two. Trinity works best agaisnt high hp, so don't buy item with those attributes. It's only work by chipping ur early hp. The lower u are more harder for them coz DHS became less efficient.

The reason is because of the formula for Damage Reduction.
Damage Reduction = Defense / Defense + Constant
Damage Reduction = -60 / -60 + 120
Damage Reduction = -60 / 60
Damage Reduction = -1
-1 = -100%
The game doesn't allow negative damage reduction beyond 100%.

%Pen won’t affect 0 or negative defense, but flat pen can still have an effect 😃
