I have been playing Skyrim for the first time. Its ruining my life, I cant stop thinking about it when I am not playing it. I have been fishing for the last 3 hours... fishing, I caught a cool ring cant remember the name... I had no idea that game was so great. Running with Serana and I think its possible that I love her. Sorry this wasn't Fallout related, Skyrim is absorbing my life.
I happened to have a fully upgraded chainsaw with vampires and same with auto axe and tested on the mirelurk queen. The auto axe was indeed feeling at least 30%+ as it was clearly the faster life taker. On a side note for melee in general, I really wish theyd fix VATS punching (it often doesnt work in vats) and explosive melee perks to be better/ comboed with explosives. I enjoy spamming nuka mines and just going nade launcher too for ranged if need. I hope with future updates when they add more perk cards they can add some better stuff like doubled distance closing in vats to essentially teleport kill.
I would also recommend the food item "Tasty Yao Guai Roast" - it gives you a whopping 85% melee damage boost for an entire hour. It's a pain in the butt to make, and perishable, BUT if you have the military cryo freezer, it won't go bad in there and you can store them up and use them for wrecking bosses or PvP. Other things you will need if you want to use this extremely powerful but resource-intensive food item: The Water Boiler camp item - gives you a handy, infinite supply of boiled water. 5 mutfruit plants and a turbo-fert to get the mutfruit you need (9) every time you want to craft a roast. A good knowledge of where pepper spawns - you need 4 of those each time, and 14 Yao Guai meat - Use the Butcher's Bounty card and be on the lookout for Yao Guai horde events. You also want to use Super Duper when crafting the roast. You can relatively quickly build up 10 or more in a few hours, then pop them in the Cryo Freezer. Wait till a boss fight starts, and go pull out a roast - use it with your best melee damage chems and alcohol that stack, and watch bosses absolutely MELT.
@@Monteya Glowing meat steak only gives you a 40% damage boost, 80% with Carnivore. Tasty Yao Guai Roast at base gives you 85% - 5% more than a glowing meat steak with carnivore. Carnivore with a roast would give you a 170% melee boost. Eat the roast. There is also a static Roast spawn in a trailer at the Sons of Dane compound - pop over there every once in a while, pick it up, and store it in your freezer for when you want to use it.
213% melee dmg boost from the Roast for my melee guy, I was lucky enough to open a donation crate and some crazy generous person had dropped 200 Tasty Yao Guai Roasts, was very happy :D
Long time melee build enjoyer. Autoaxe has been my best friend since the Pitt expeditions first dropped. Good to see it’s still the king of DPS in boss fights.
King lol , I've been killing him solo for years in under two minutes with a commando build , no ammo glitching , no sneak glitching. I like turtle, but his "high dps" build are disappointing .
@@jessieyoung3759 yea commando was king for quite a long time. its def not as good as it was though with the update. auto axe is probably the fastest boss melter right now. railway, fixer and EPR just feel bad right now. sure u can hit 2k per shot with the railway but it fires SLOW AF after the nerf. ur DPS is higher with the auto axe unfortunately
There was one time for Earle Williams where I was going to town with the Auto Axe, and he glitched where he went to the floor and had to drop the event. I looked online, and it seems auto melee causes him to glitch, and I felt bad for a bit lol. I never use auto melee for Earle now, which sucks since it’s fun using auto axe against him.
Also happens with melee in general but much more of a problem with auto axe and chainsaw. I have seen so many people push Earl through the floor and the ceiling with the autoaxe.
All my builds have a vamp Chainsaw/Autoaxe on them... even bloody sneak VATS commandos. Of all of Todd's statements, these are the ones that "just work". 3pts Incisor and you have a backup weapon that is usuable. Full dedication, and yes you are the star of the boss fight.
Electric damage will get turned into energy damage with next update. This makes the Auto-axe with Electrified mod qualify to be buffed by the Science perks, so you have there another +30% possible damage from perks.
@@TheSpirez yes you can stack both perks for maximum damage or of you need more perks under strength you can only run rank1 of all slugger perks (rank 1 gives 10%) and use science perks for the same damage
Hey turtle I did some extensive testing with the auto axes the chainsaw and I even included the Mr. Handy and the shredder. The Mr. handy by the way is still really only usable if you don’t have any of the rest. Due to the prior patch like five months ago, the autoracks in any configuration is now you know the same as the Mr. handy if you don’t have anything else, then it’s usable it does OK but damage comparatively speaking is much less the nerve to the dual bar and it seems to be like the flaming mods themselves have seen a Nerf as well. Either way if you can make any of the three useful configurations of an auto X that’s the better choice. The flaming autoracks is better than the flaming chainsaw, and it used to be that the new bar flaming chainsaw was better than any configuration of auto axe. Now you should leave your chainsaw in your stash until December and see what happens then. As for the three autoracks configurations that matter because turbo as everybody knows is even more of a giant Nerf, you’re not losing 40% of your ballistic damage and gaining nothing when you put the turbo mod on, so don’t use that. The flaming autoracks is significantly less immediately effective. It does less damage per attack than the poison or the electric pot. The poison and the electric mod are equal they both do exactly the same ballistic and exactly the same instant damage with the element. So honestly, with the three weapons, it boils down to what kind of resist your target has And where it really matters his bosses and bosses have all the resists equally you showed them in your video I don’t know if it was this one. I think it is Earl has and and bosses have always had all the resistance equally but since the change the bosses that number is just way higher right they have way more resist. They’re way tank gear so it doesn’t matter what element you use against bosses they have equal DRER cryo- fire and poison so whatever you hit them with it’s doing the same damage assuming it started with the same damage now if you can afford science per cards in your intelligence, then you can buff the electric damage because electric is the only damage affect. It’s the only one that’s considered energy right and they theoretically they fixed all the bad stuff The bugs regarding electric damage. It’s no longer doing true electric damage. It’s now doing energy damage so it is resistible and there’s a pot, but I’ll get to that in a second as well, but poison damage is not affected so if you can’t afford the science perks, it doesn’t matter whether you use electric or poison against those bosses. It doesn’t even matter use fire you’ll just do less damage with fire. As far as energy damage goes while they fixed much of what was wrong with adding energy to your weapons there’s still a bug grounded. If you have the grounded mutation it’s not just subtracting 13% from your energy damage. It’s also subtracting 13% from your ballistic damage on that auto wax so if you’re using the electric auto act with grounded And you’re not using the science perks you’re going to be doing less damage than you would with the poison because poison again is not energy and it’s not affected by grounded and this goes for everything really if you’re using grounded and electric running around killing mobs not that it really matters they’re dying too quickly to matter, but you’re losing Damage to grounded. It’s bugged and tested for yourself. You can see the mass I mean, you can literally see it in the tool tip strip all your stuff off your character all put cards look at your tool tip for the weapon and then hit a red X and look at the tool tip again now Actually I wouldn’t use a red X because that adds more confusion into the mixed dependent what mutation you have take a grounded serum you will see the ballistic and energy damage. If you take a grounded serum no matter what other mutations you have you will see your ballistic and your energy damage. Grow up on that electric auto wax. You won’t see the same thing on your fire or your poison and let’s be fair. I don’t know why turbo takes the same Nerf to ballistic because it gains nothing from the turbo mod elementally there’s no element there right turbo isn’t an element turbo is a broken mod. That’s supposed to change the attack rate of a weapon that has a fixed attack rate The auto axes, the chainsaws the shredders the Mr. handy the ripper none of them are affected by weapon speed you can’t change that attack rate anybody who’s tested it will tell you it changes nothing the time to kill is the same fuck I’ve watched videos, slow videos with martial art, and weapon speed against a blank weapon with nothing Time to kill was exactly the same. It’s not increasing the attack rate of that weapon. It would be nice if instead of saying fast or very fast they literally just told us how many times a whack man attacked per second so we could see in the tool temp, but they don’t very fast as a category not an actual attack rate all the auto me, weapons attack very fast Yet some attack faster another Mr. Handy. I’m pretty sure attacks five times a second that’s why it even though it does massively more ballistic damage than any of the other weapons it still does less DPS and it takes longer to kill and you can literally just feel it when you’re killing stuff. It takes forever to kill stuff, even if you modded for electric, which by the way will now Nerf double ballistic damage of that weapon as well And I didn’t test it but it’s probably also broken with the grounded mutation. Probably need to test that it might be completely viable if you weren’t being Nerf by grounded being that electric is the only elemental mod for that weapon lastly, test is for yourself, but that don’t seem to be working with any configuration of auto melee weapon. You know you’re not getting a burn that you’re not getting a poison die. You’re not getting a bleed that the long bow bar on the chainsaw should put 24 bleed over five seconds. You should be able to walk up to something bash shit and watch it. Take five bleed That they’re not big but you should be able to see it. The poison dot on an auto act with poison is huge. It’s like 500 over five seconds you should be seeing that hundred damage even if it’s resisted a little bit you should be able to see it happening and you always could see burn damage. Write the dot from burn if you got staggered or moved away it would finish your target for you many times none of those dots are working including burn bleed damage, which is unmitigated undependable non-resistible damage you can’t resisted or mitigate it in every way 24 damage is just 24 damage. You should see it but it’s not happening just a heads up none of your dots none of my dots on any weapon I tested including I tested Thor armor with the auto axis which used to work you used to be able to hit something and then that 250 bleed over 10 seconds you could hit something and move on and it would bleed out it’s not working either. I couldn’t get it to bleed anythingso I don’t know if all that are failing or just with automatic Mailly weapons I didn’t test like unarmed weapon, bleed, or something else I didn’t test anything else but the that’s definitely the fire do the poison do on the autoracks the fire on the chainsaw the bleed dot on the chainsaw and none of those are working.
I’ve been an auto axe main since I started playing and honestly it’s been my favorite out of all weapons. My only problem with auto axe is not being able to get any kills cuz everyone kills spawns so my advice is pair it with a Tesla rifle!
Seems like anti-armor for full health PA is comparable to vampire for bloodied PA. Full health PA users can also drop their health to around 60% (or any safe level) for more damage if they need, so that's neat.
Nice showcase turtle and I’ve been discovering all of this the last couple days that I came back myself but nice showcase you’re kinda laid it all out there, but I did screw the promise you’re your your title given the certain circumstances in the fact that boss always had no matter what the resistance is are there equal across-the-board they’re equally resistance resistant to every element Including damage resist it’s all the same except radiation. They’re usually a mute so you’re running an electric auto wax right in your premises, but that’s the best boss killer to put that electric mod on that autoracks to sacrifice 40% of your face damage and then you add back 60% elemental damage Which is energy resistance right it’s kind of go against energy resistance oh what was that like 1750. Any element you use will literally face the same resistance, including ballistic damage and Carey the shredder doesn’t take that damage. Deduction for putting a mod on so whether you choose a chainsaw or an auto ax with fire or electric or poisoning red mind you you’re going a rough way kill that boss at the same you know in the same amount of time with the same loss of damage for modeling in the same elemental damage increase on 60% so what you’re basically gain is 20% more damage because no matter what you put the boss is equally resistant to it but nose, the nose the shredder does as much damage if not more than the autoracks I bet you try an anti-armor shredder while in power armor with stabilize and the bashing card, and of course, bashing on the weapon versus electric auto wax within sizer and your slugger card and well, there’s no hand everything for that weapon is in strength really you’ll find that the shredder is a better choice for one race attack at higher and it’s not being split along various equally resisted resistances it’s just all filing on ballistic damage and by the way, I don’t know if you’ve noticed but but the scavengers while they don’t have the massive hip points of a queen or Earl, they have nearly nearly double double stick the energy and the poison resist of earl they have 3200 DRER and resist and like 1000 radiation so they’re a perfect example of why you need a if you’re gonna run auto accident you need a fire auto ask and you need an electric auto ask because some things have fire resist something have energy resist most things actually have energy that the fact that far more likely that a credit you’re killing all that fire is dead so while on paper electric seems great they fixed it. It’s being resistant by energy resist now it’s not gonna matter with any of the weapon shredding you’re gonna kill shit just by holding the trigger down very quickly, in fact, usually when you touch them.
I've had the auto axe since the season it came out, I didn't finish getting the union power armor before it ended and today I will finish getting the stamps for the final arm plan. The human condition is about the easiest expedition to repeat for 15 stamps with an auto axe. I now rock thorn armor, 3 auto axes and only waste ammo on a boss.
Hey, I tested the dots by both you know grinding on something a little and then backing off and by simply bashing it no power attacking it either way should’ve put that dot on and I should’ve been able to back off and watch that happen not that the matter that much Mobs because they just die in almost instantly but when you’re killing a boss, that is a massive damage boost specially poison well OK I take it back not especially poisonous gigantic fire is good too but poison is huge if they’re not resistant to poison that that should be taking about 100 Ish maybe after resistance is 50 to 60 Ish every second It’s doing nothing and the bleed cannot be resistant so if you go to the trouble of putting on thorn armor with an auto ax or a chainsaw and you’re not seeing as much damage on the queen as you think you ought to I don’t know how long this has been bugged maybe since the changes so maybe nobody’s noticed because every UA-camr says Energy is better because every UA-camr builds got awful specific build that includes six points in intelligence that nobody really has to use there for science works to show a mid max build that just isn’t realistic so that of course they say use electric because they’re going to use science perks they don’t have grounded because grounded affects energy damage and they sell a bill. nobody really uses so maybe nobody’s noticed it but it’s all true. If you have grounded your poison or fire they’re not affected and don’t count on the information it’s not happening. You’re not even getting one that I mean I didn’t rely on grinding on a queen to test this. I tested it by both like toggling the key a little bit just to get one attack in one or two a few attacks it’s hard to get just one attack with an auto melee weapon But bashing power attacking gives you one attack with no follow up attack so there’s nothing to cancel that dot unless they’ve just fucked out the programming but yes if you’re grinding on the boss, you should be seeing one ballistic attack, one poison attack and then one tick that’s what you should be getting and then an attack or races all that right so you should include all three of thoseand if you just bash at once the dad should go off and keep going off for five seconds it’s not happening maybe the damage is in there. It’s just not popping up as a damage number, but it’s also not showing in the bar.

The grind continues. I ABSOLUTELY noticed the crit nerf and Railway nerf on Earle, on a 4 man Earle run, it took forever. My bloodied Commando days are not over, but i may be moonlighting as a Bloodied Power Armor Heavy Weapons for Bosses.
I use tickblood tequilla margaritas when I do nuke bosses with my auto axe so I can enjoy my B/40pa/50%break slower and keep the vampire effect with the drink.
Turtle if I understand correctly, you’re saying that say a queen for instance, doesn’t have 70% damage medication anymore now she actually has higher resistance and health I guess what I’m saying is that they completely eliminate the damage mitigation built into one of those boxes I mean it only goes up from the queen the queen is like 70 I think and each boss progress will get more damage medication and given most people standing there, trying to kill her are using heavy guns just piling on massive above the damageI mean, you can see the obvious problem
But question, what is the minimum perk set including legendary that you can get away with for what you need? Are all the perks you are using necessary ?
I use a vampire/power attack/ 50 slower breakage auto axe without power armor. Full bloodied. Honestly, it’s completely changed my game. Nothing kills me except my own stupidity. I keep a quad Tesla, for events, and a bloodied imposter sheepsquacth head top off my rads and boost grenade damage.
the new elemental damage buff makes the auto axe the most overpowered auto melee in the game. I noticed my damage numbers go higher than before with my aa/40p/str auto axe.
I accidentally re rolled mine months ago and just stopped using it. The other day I started rolling and my first one was aristocrats with 40% PA and +1 strength. It absolutely shreds its ridiculous.
Ive never been much for melee builds but this definitely feels great to use. It melts enemies so fast but darn rng isnt on my side. Havent got any good rolls at all. So far the best roll was anti armor and 50 crit and 15 reload speed haha
Hi turtle I just subscribed i wanted to ask if I use a heavy gunner build with my cremator can I still use the auto axe as a secondary weapon or does it only work or do real damage with certain cards cause im using the heavy gunner cards I think you showed slugger cards in the video let me know and keep up the good content
I don’t have a power armor set, just Uny SS, and now wondering if I should try rolling some before the 3d. If so, should I got with Union? I would be curious to see if you were more tanky without power armor with Serendipity and Field Surgeon. I also run Dodgy but it has strong anti-synergy with auto melee.
@@RedVoteRedemptionsame I rarely die born survivor uses a stim if I get hurt, Ricochet and serendipity avoid most of the ranged attacks and when I'm in front of them they die before they can hit me
Yeah, I would go look it up, but the fan site in a fandom for that they still seem to have the original resistances listed. They don’t look like they’ve been updated. I think you fall down his Texas old food and nobody’s bothering to edit those databases.
I thought power attack damage had no effect unless you are sprinting and they stopped you from sprinting and attacking did they not ? I use vampire chainsaw with 25% more damage while standing still and it seems to do a little more damage than auto axe with same effects, not much in it though. Super effective if you run a bloodied build with the vampire effect you will not die and when fighting bosses I am normally standing still.
Auto-melee weapons are considered to be always power attacking.. as far as the "take less damage while power attacking" legendary effect, seems to only work while you are actively dealing damage to something, not just revving the weapon.
i don't think it is worth i to go without power armor for this boss fight because if you die too many times and the boss is killed, you could miss out on all the loot since you cannot enter the cave again. for the queen i think it is worth it. earle can one shot you with his foot stomp if you don't have power armor. bloodied build of course.
Only for bosses. The new update is removing their damage resistance but raising their base health by a huge amount. This makes pure dps more important than bypassing the damage resistance through crits. At least, that's my understanding.
Bosses used to have a flat damage reduction of like 70 or 90%, on top of damage resistance as well. But crits bypassed this % reduction and only damage resistance applied to them. Now that the % reduction is gone crits and regular attacks will both only be going through resistances so they should be more on par with eachother
I have yet to take down Earle. Only tried once and died over and over until I ran out of ammo and my chainsaw broke. I wondered why melee weapons acted strange after being staggered, will try the workaround.
Man if i try to open my pip boy so freely during an event especially that one it would take 5-10 secs to open and settle and then it would be super laggy and take 3 pushes to move once. Then i would almost for sure crash during any of that. The difference in stability is insane lol. Nice to hear tho i have a couple Auto Axes that might get a boost from this.
isnt the power attack just the alternative melee on it which for the auto axe is just a bash not actually using the main fire? I have a aa, +40 weapon speed and +3 strength one
Hey turtle I gotta go to credit for a boss killing bill with a bill weapon. That’s not pretty good but I noticed that you’re missing a point there and strength and then you’re probably meant to have two points on that sucker card and you only have one and by the way you’ve got traveling pharmacy and through hiker you should be running a refrigerator backpack and not your good with salt. Use those points somewhere else that did more damage or more sustain or somethingbut beyond that I looked at a lot of bills tonight just coming back trying to find out what all has happened to the auto Malay situation and this one is the most very purpose specific I’ve seen
How do you make everything look so easy? Perks? When it comes to perks, I am lost. What to use. Best way to scrap. What is necessary for some builds. The reason I ask is because I can have a build close to yours and get my a-- handed to me. Auto axe just does 1 or 2 damage. But it doesn't end there. Many other examples you demonstrated just leave me in the dust. I'm scratching my head. What? How did he do that? Like I said, i'm so very lost especially when it comes to perks. Which ones to keep, scrap, upgrade. I don't want to make any mistakes. So, any advise? Which ones to focus on, etc. I see beginner then I see end game but what was the method? What do you focus on first, second, etc. Perks, legendary perks. I've watched a lot of videos and there are si many opinions yet none with the explanation of "do this, then that". Help???
Using up the last of my stuff before Bethesda ruins everything. I had 3 rolls left for my weapons: 1st roll for axe: Anti armor. Second for my fixer: Bloodied. Third for my .50: Bloodied. After countless tries, my last 3 roll what I never got on them ever before. 🙄
Still havent rolled a 40 power attack on mine been using my V 40 swing speed 25 less ap since day one of getting it in the season by far my favorite weapon in game just hate chasing green bois running and hiding from me in west tek so i switched to bloody fixer and bloody plasma caster to deal with them otherwise its choppy choppy in the wasteland for me
No power armor would need to be a full health build definitely earl is so unpredictable with his knock backs and fear bloodied would be hard pressed. But as always good stuff sir
My auto axe is running 316 dmg already and i havent even got plus strength on the weapon or my armor pieces, its bloodied though, im gonna switch to vampires but only after i get plus strength on the weapon and every armor piece 🤣 so should be doing 300+ if my calculations are right

Whatever I mean just an example of one of them the queen being you know the OG boss she had like 70% damage medication and I think you heard this we’re right around 200 to 250 something like that and it was across the board they’re all the same DRER boys fire cry they were all the same they really weren’t enough to matter honestly, aunt didn’t really it was your fault, but it wasn’t important. @@jessieyoung3759 yea commando was king for quite a long time. its def not as good as it was though with the update. auto axe is probably the fastest boss melter right now. railway, fixer and EPR just feel bad right now. sure u can hit 2k per shot with the railway but it fires SLOW AF after the nerf. ur DPS is higher with the auto axe unfortunately
There was one time for Earle Williams where I was going to town with the Auto Axe, and he glitched where he went to the floor and had to drop the event. I looked online, and it seems auto melee causes him to glitch, and I felt bad for a bit lol. I never use auto melee for Earle now, which sucks since it’s fun using auto axe against him.

My kind of trick is that I immediately get behind him and push him the other direction away from the wall.
I’ve noticed that if you cripple his legs he seems much less likely to glitch.
Also happens with melee in general but much more of a problem with auto axe and chainsaw. I have seen so many people push Earl through the floor and the ceiling with the autoaxe.
Never had that issue myself but I'll keep an eye out for it
All my builds have a vamp Chainsaw/Autoaxe on them... even bloody sneak VATS commandos. Of all of Todd's statements, these are the ones that "just work". 3pts Incisor and you have a backup weapon that is usuable. Full dedication, and yes you are the star of the boss fight.
auto axe does so much damage you can just run it full health and it's still really powerful
Electric damage will get turned into energy damage with next update. This makes the Auto-axe with Electrified mod qualify to be buffed by the Science perks, so you have there another +30% possible damage from perks.

@@TheSpirez yes you can stack both perks for maximum damage or of you need more perks under strength you can only run rank1 of all slugger perks (rank 1 gives 10%) and use science perks for the same damage

Mine is only a Mutants/40 power attack and I think reduced cats cost but still without even equipping a build this thing still shreds like crazy.

Hey turtle I did some extensive testing with the auto axes the chainsaw and I even included the Mr. Handy and the shredder. The Mr. handy by the way is still really only usable if you don’t have any of the rest. Due to the prior patch like five months ago, the autoracks in any configuration is now you know the same as the Mr. handy if you don’t have anything else, then it’s usable it does OK but damage comparatively speaking is much less the nerve to the dual bar and it seems to be like the flaming mods themselves have seen a Nerf as well. Either way if you can make any of the three useful configurations of an auto X that’s the better choice. The flaming autoracks is better than the flaming chainsaw, and it used to be that the new bar flaming chainsaw was better than any configuration of auto axe. Now you should leave your chainsaw in your stash until December and see what happens then. As for the three autoracks configurations that matter because turbo as everybody knows is even more of a giant Nerf, you’re not losing 40% of your ballistic damage and gaining nothing when you put the turbo mod on, so don’t use that. The flaming autoracks is significantly less immediately effective. It does less damage per attack than the poison or the electric pot. The poison and the electric mod are equal they both do exactly the same ballistic and exactly the same instant damage with the element. So honestly, with the three weapons, it boils down to what kind of resist your target has And where it really matters his bosses and bosses have all the resists equally you showed them in your video I don’t know if it was this one. I think it is Earl has and and bosses have always had all the resistance equally but since the change the bosses that number is just way higher right they have way more resist. They’re way tank gear so it doesn’t matter what element you use against bosses they have equal DRER cryo- fire and poison so whatever you hit them with it’s doing the same damage assuming it started with the same damage now if you can afford science per cards in your intelligence, then you can buff the electric damage because electric is the only damage affect. It’s the only one that’s considered energy right and they theoretically they fixed all the bad stuff The bugs regarding electric damage. It’s no longer doing true electric damage. It’s now doing energy damage so it is resistible and there’s a pot, but I’ll get to that in a second as well, but poison damage is not affected so if you can’t afford the science perks, it doesn’t matter whether you use electric or poison against those bosses. It doesn’t even matter use fire you’ll just do less damage with fire. As far as energy damage goes while they fixed much of what was wrong with adding energy to your weapons there’s still a bug grounded. If you have the grounded mutation it’s not just subtracting 13% from your energy damage. It’s also subtracting 13% from your ballistic damage on that auto wax so if you’re using the electric auto act with grounded And you’re not using the science perks you’re going to be doing less damage than you would with the poison because poison again is not energy and it’s not affected by grounded and this goes for everything really if you’re using grounded and electric running around killing mobs not that it really matters they’re dying too quickly to matter, but you’re losing Damage to grounded. It’s bugged and tested for yourself. You can see the mass I mean, you can literally see it in the tool tip strip all your stuff off your character all put cards look at your tool tip for the weapon and then hit a red X and look at the tool tip again now Actually I wouldn’t use a red X because that adds more confusion into the mixed dependent what mutation you have take a grounded serum you will see the ballistic and energy damage. If you take a grounded serum no matter what other mutations you have you will see your ballistic and your energy damage. Grow up on that electric auto wax. You won’t see the same thing on your fire or your poison and let’s be fair. I don’t know why turbo takes the same Nerf to ballistic because it gains nothing from the turbo mod elementally there’s no element there right turbo isn’t an element turbo is a broken mod. That’s supposed to change the attack rate of a weapon that has a fixed attack rate The auto axes, the chainsaws the shredders the Mr. handy the ripper none of them are affected by weapon speed you can’t change that attack rate anybody who’s tested it will tell you it changes nothing the time to kill is the same fuck I’ve watched videos, slow videos with martial art, and weapon speed against a blank weapon with nothing Time to kill was exactly the same. It’s not increasing the attack rate of that weapon. It would be nice if instead of saying fast or very fast they literally just told us how many times a whack man attacked per second so we could see in the tool temp, but they don’t very fast as a category not an actual attack rate all the auto me, weapons attack very fast Yet some attack faster another Mr. Handy. I’m pretty sure attacks five times a second that’s why it even though it does massively more ballistic damage than any of the other weapons it still does less DPS and it takes longer to kill and you can literally just feel it when you’re killing stuff. It takes forever to kill stuff, even if you modded for electric, which by the way will now Nerf double ballistic damage of that weapon as well And I didn’t test it but it’s probably also broken with the grounded mutation. Probably need to test that it might be completely viable if you weren’t being Nerf by grounded being that electric is the only elemental mod for that weapon lastly, test is for yourself, but that don’t seem to be working with any configuration of auto melee weapon. You know you’re not getting a burn that you’re not getting a poison die. You’re not getting a bleed that the long bow bar on the chainsaw should put 24 bleed over five seconds. You should be able to walk up to something bash shit and watch it. Take five bleed That they’re not big but you should be able to see it. The poison dot on an auto act with poison is huge. It’s like 500 over five seconds you should be seeing that hundred damage even if it’s resisted a little bit you should be able to see it happening and you always could see burn damage. Write the dot from burn if you got staggered or moved away it would finish your target for you many times none of those dots are working including burn bleed damage, which is unmitigated undependable non-resistible damage you can’t resisted or mitigate it in every way 24 damage is just 24 damage. You should see it but it’s not happening just a heads up none of your dots none of my dots on any weapon I tested including I tested Thor armor with the auto axis which used to work you used to be able to hit something and then that 250 bleed over 10 seconds you could hit something and move on and it would bleed out it’s not working either. I couldn’t get it to bleed anythingso I don’t know if all that are failing or just with automatic Mailly weapons I didn’t test like unarmed weapon, bleed, or something else I didn’t test anything else but the that’s definitely the fire do the poison do on the autoracks the fire on the chainsaw the bleed dot on the chainsaw and none of those are working.

I’ve been an auto axe main since I started playing and honestly it’s been my favorite out of all weapons. My only problem with auto axe is not being able to get any kills cuz everyone kills spawns so my advice is pair it with a Tesla rifle!
Seems like anti-armor for full health PA is comparable to vampire for bloodied PA. Full health PA users can also drop their health to around 60% (or any safe level) for more damage if they need, so that's neat.
Nice showcase turtle and I’ve been discovering all of this the last couple days that I came back myself but nice showcase you’re kinda laid it all out there, but I did screw the promise you’re your your title given the certain circumstances in the fact that boss always had no matter what the resistance is are there equal across-the-board they’re equally resistance resistant to every element Including damage resist it’s all the same except radiation. They’re usually a mute so you’re running an electric auto wax right in your premises, but that’s the best boss killer to put that electric mod on that autoracks to sacrifice 40% of your face damage and then you add back 60% elemental damage Which is energy resistance right it’s kind of go against energy resistance oh what was that like 1750. Any element you use will literally face the same resistance, including ballistic damage and Carey the shredder doesn’t take that damage. Deduction for putting a mod on so whether you choose a chainsaw or an auto ax with fire or electric or poisoning red mind you you’re going a rough way kill that boss at the same you know in the same amount of time with the same loss of damage for modeling in the same elemental damage increase on 60% so what you’re basically gain is 20% more damage because no matter what you put the boss is equally resistant to it but nose, the nose the shredder does as much damage if not more than the autoracks I bet you try an anti-armor shredder while in power armor with stabilize and the bashing card, and of course, bashing on the weapon versus electric auto wax within sizer and your slugger card and well, there’s no hand everything for that weapon is in strength really you’ll find that the shredder is a better choice for one race attack at higher and it’s not being split along various equally resisted resistances it’s just all filing on ballistic damage and by the way, I don’t know if you’ve noticed but but the scavengers while they don’t have the massive hip points of a queen or Earl, they have nearly nearly double double stick the energy and the poison resist of earl they have 3200 DRER and resist and like 1000 radiation so they’re a perfect example of why you need a if you’re gonna run auto accident you need a fire auto ask and you need an electric auto ask because some things have fire resist something have energy resist most things actually have energy that the fact that far more likely that a credit you’re killing all that fire is dead so while on paper electric seems great they fixed it. It’s being resistant by energy resist now it’s not gonna matter with any of the weapon shredding you’re gonna kill shit just by holding the trigger down very quickly, in fact, usually when you touch them.
I've had the auto axe since the season it came out, I didn't finish getting the union power armor before it ended and today I will finish getting the stamps for the final arm plan. The human condition is about the easiest expedition to repeat for 15 stamps with an auto axe. I now rock thorn armor, 3 auto axes and only waste ammo on a boss.

Hey, I tested the dots by both you know grinding on something a little and then backing off and by simply bashing it no power attacking it either way should’ve put that dot on and I should’ve been able to back off and watch that happen not that the matter that much Mobs because they just die in almost instantly but when you’re killing a boss, that is a massive damage boost specially poison well OK I take it back not especially poisonous gigantic fire is good too but poison is huge if they’re not resistant to poison that that should be taking about 100 Ish maybe after resistance is 50 to 60 Ish every second It’s doing nothing and the bleed cannot be resistant so if you go to the trouble of putting on thorn armor with an auto ax or a chainsaw and you’re not seeing as much damage on the queen as you think you ought to I don’t know how long this has been bugged maybe since the changes so maybe nobody’s noticed because every UA-camr says Energy is better because every UA-camr builds got awful specific build that includes six points in intelligence that nobody really has to use there for science works to show a mid max build that just isn’t realistic so that of course they say use electric because they’re going to use science perks they don’t have grounded because grounded affects energy damage and they sell a bill. nobody really uses so maybe nobody’s noticed it but it’s all true. If you have grounded your poison or fire they’re not affected and don’t count on the information it’s not happening. You’re not even getting one that I mean I didn’t rely on grinding on a queen to test this. I tested it by both like toggling the key a little bit just to get one attack in one or two a few attacks it’s hard to get just one attack with an auto melee weapon But bashing power attacking gives you one attack with no follow up attack so there’s nothing to cancel that dot unless they’ve just fucked out the programming but yes if you’re grinding on the boss, you should be seeing one ballistic attack, one poison attack and then one tick that’s what you should be getting and then an attack or races all that right so you should include all three of thoseand if you just bash at once the dad should go off and keep going off for five seconds it’s not happening maybe the damage is in there. It’s just not popping up as a damage number, but it’s also not showing in the bar.

My bloodied Commando days are not over, but i may be moonlighting as a Bloodied Power Armor Heavy Weapons for Bosses.
Would Strangler Heart PA, the upcoming 4* Viper effect synergize well with Poison autoaxe? It sounds like a fun build to make.
I use tickblood tequilla margaritas when I do nuke bosses with my auto axe so I can enjoy my B/40pa/50%break slower and keep the vampire effect with the drink.

Turtle if I understand correctly, you’re saying that say a queen for instance, doesn’t have 70% damage medication anymore now she actually has higher resistance and health I guess what I’m saying is that they completely eliminate the damage mitigation built into one of those boxes I mean it only goes up from the queen the queen is like 70 I think and each boss progress will get more damage medication and given most people standing there, trying to kill her are using heavy guns just piling on massive above the damageI mean, you can see the obvious problem

I use a vampire/power attack/ 50 slower breakage auto axe without power armor. Full bloodied. Honestly, it’s completely changed my game. Nothing kills me except my own stupidity.
I keep a quad Tesla, for events, and a bloodied imposter sheepsquacth head top off my rads and boost grenade damage.
the new elemental damage buff makes the auto axe the most overpowered auto melee in the game. I noticed my damage numbers go higher than before with my aa/40p/str auto axe.
I accidentally re rolled mine months ago and just stopped using it. The other day I started rolling and my first one was aristocrats with 40% PA and +1 strength. It absolutely shreds its ridiculous.
How many expeditions do you reckon it takes to unlock the auto axe and desirable mods? Thanks!
Ive never been much for melee builds but this definitely feels great to use. It melts enemies so fast but darn rng isnt on my side. Havent got any good rolls at all. So far the best roll was anti armor and 50 crit and 15 reload speed haha

Power Armor + Anti Armor seems to be the way to go. Right now I use power armor with bloodied auto axe
Why use power attack damage and not attack speed?
I thought power attack damage had no effect unless you are sprinting and they stopped you from sprinting and attacking did they not ? I use vampire chainsaw with 25% more damage while standing still and it seems to do a little more damage than auto axe with same effects, not much in it though. Super effective if you run a bloodied build with the vampire effect you will not die and when fighting bosses I am normally standing still.
Auto-melee weapons are considered to be always power attacking.. as far as the "take less damage while power attacking" legendary effect, seems to only work while you are actively dealing damage to something, not just revving the weapon.
Full health, use AA, and switch to vamp if you need a heal.

i don't think it is worth i to go without power armor for this boss fight because if you die too many times and the boss is killed, you could miss out on all the loot since you cannot enter the cave again. for the queen i think it is worth it. earle can one shot you with his foot stomp if you don't have power armor. bloodied build of course.
What do you think about bloodied instead of AA? Wouldn’t they be better if you took incisor perk?

Only for bosses. The new update is removing their damage resistance but raising their base health by a huge amount. This makes pure dps more important than bypassing the damage resistance through crits. At least, that's my understanding.
Bosses used to have a flat damage reduction of like 70 or 90%, on top of damage resistance as well. But crits bypassed this % reduction and only damage resistance applied to them. Now that the % reduction is gone crits and regular attacks will both only be going through resistances so they should be more on par with eachother

Crits are only important for commando builds, heavy guns use too much AP but with machined guns it’s easy to get crit damage to mean anything for you

I have yet to take down Earle. Only tried once and died over and over until I ran out of ammo and my chainsaw broke. I wondered why melee weapons acted strange after being staggered, will try the workaround.
Man if i try to open my pip boy so freely during an event especially that one it would take 5-10 secs to open and settle and then it would be super laggy and take 3 pushes to move once.
Then i would almost for sure crash during any of that.
The difference in stability is insane lol.

That’s not pretty good but I noticed that you’re missing a point there and strength and then you’re probably meant to have two points on that sucker card and you only have one and by the way you’ve got traveling pharmacy and through hiker you should be running a refrigerator backpack and not your good with salt. Use those points somewhere else that did more damage or more sustain or somethingbut beyond that I looked at a lot of bills tonight just coming back trying to find out what all has happened to the auto Malay situation and this one is the most very purpose specific I’ve seen
How do you make everything look so easy? Perks? When it comes to perks, I am lost. What to use. Best way to scrap. What is necessary for some builds. The reason I ask is because I can have a build close to yours and get my a-- handed to me. Auto axe just does 1 or 2 damage. But it doesn't end there. Many other examples you demonstrated just leave me in the dust. I'm scratching my head. What? How did he do that?
Like I said, i'm so very lost especially when it comes to perks. Which ones to keep, scrap, upgrade. I don't want to make any mistakes. So, any advise? Which ones to focus on, etc. I see beginner then I see end game but what was the method? What do you focus on first, second, etc. Perks, legendary perks. Using up the last of my stuff before Bethesda ruins everything. I had 3 rolls left for my weapons: 1st roll for axe: Anti armor. Second for my fixer: Bloodied. Third for my .50: Bloodied. After countless tries, my last 3 roll what I never got on them ever before. 🙄

Still havent rolled a 40 power attack on mine been using my V 40 swing speed 25 less ap since day one of getting it in the season by far my favorite weapon in game just hate chasing green bois running and hiding from me in west tek so i switched to bloody fixer and bloody plasma caster to deal with them otherwise its choppy choppy in the wasteland for me

My auto axe is running 316 dmg already and i havent even got plus strength on the weapon or my armor pieces, its bloodied though, im gonna switch to vampires but only after i get plus strength on the weapon and every armor piece 🤣 so should be doing 300+ if my calculations are right
Turtle, do you know what the queen’s resistances are now? Whatever I mean just an example of one of them the queen being you know the OG boss she had like 70% damage medication and I think you heard this we’re right around 200 to 250 something like that and it was across the board they’re all the same DRER boys fire cry they were all the same they really weren’t enough to matter honestly, aunt didn’t really it was your fault, but it wasn’t important. Being the important thing was being able to do, Crits but I’m just curious how much armor did they give each of these bosses?
LMAO when i first played 76 i had to be melee build cause finding bullets or materials was brutal and yea i died alot got to level 70 ish learned the so i was AR fixer queen or the .38 mod to use the cheap ammo up lol, and now im im bloody build just complete beasting bosses lvl 700 , NOW YOU TELL ME THE MELEE IS FINALLY GOOD 🤣🤣🤣 jus kidding AT, love yer vids

with new boss enemies hitting almost 2k resist aa is better but yes bloodied would be second option for damage

so with the s18 update. does PA damage still work with the autoaxe? since you're technically PA the whole time its spinning.
it doesn't seem to work atm but I'm unsure if it's intended or a bug
@AngryTurtle yeah I'm not sure either. I've been using a Bloodied swing speed power attack reduction. I'm thinking about hard rolling the 3rd star to +3 str. got one from scrapping that craftable wrench. forget the name.

He is on the pts (pre test server) version of the game and I'm pretty sure that in season 18 the effects will go from +1 to +3
