I wonder what really did it for them, was it the random "I love you" they said to each other over the big tour screens, or the countless sources swearing they're madly in love?

Joe and Taylor kept their relationship private because it was a REAL relationship….. they didn’t get papped because they didn’t want to get papped together. (Unless it was the few award shows he attended with her and vice versa) they literally couldn’t have been a PR because joe never benefitted from it. Taylor actually tried to leave Joe when the news broke in 2017/2018 they were dating and he wouldn’t let her. This is why I don’t think Joe was PR. Joe even brought his MOM to the rep tour. They almost bought a house together in london. Taylor said in a song she could give him a child and talks about a miscarriage she experienced. Taylor literally changed herself so much for Joe (she does that for every relationship tho) to the point where she acted like she always was like Joe and didn’t like the spotlight. After Covid lifted and things got back to normal Taylor started becoming huge again with RED TV and midnights release and all her award shows and Joe made her feel bad about loving the spotlight (spoiler alert she always has!! She just tried to change herself for Joe which is what the song Bejeweled is all about) Joe DID want out of the relationship- he was tired of her fame. If it was PR Joe would have publicly talked about TS as much as he could…. To milk their Publicity….. and get more roles.
He never spoke about her or their relationship publicly and said he always wanted to keep it private in every interview because they were a real relationship and Joe is very private.
If Joe WAS a PR (which I don’t believe for a second) he is THE WORST at PR relationships because he literally never spoke about her and majority of the public didn’t even know who Joe alwyn was, let alone he dated TS for 7 years.

So instead of crying about Joe and playing the victim I think she thinks by flaunting Matty (or insert whoever else since Matty and her are done) she can maybe make him jealous and get him back. I think taylor wants Joe more than Joe wants taylor. So she’s trying really hard to play the “cool mature ex” but really she’s pissed and sad, so pissed that she unfollowed Joe along with all of her friends and deleted her Lavender Haze video about him. The girl is hurting obviously which is why I think she tried to rebound with Matty. She needs a break and time just to spend alone and figure herself out

Taylor swift honest is quite dense, NONE of her pr moves to either promote her album and set a certain image is ever as smart as she thinks. Ice spice was definitely not a Taylor swift fan since she was a little kid and most of those attractive guys she dates was a pr relationship, she also heavily uses bots for streams and her multiple versions, remixes, discounts, long pre orders etc are the reason her album sales are so high for albums that are basically irrelevant outside her fan base. It's funny how she still thinks like a 16 year old 😂.

I don’t think this was a PR but definitely their teams used this relationship to gain headlines but a soon Taylor and her team saw how this relationship was costing her money and giving her bad reputation again she dropped his ass (thank god).
Taylor is been know to be so messy in her love life, I mean she dated Calvin Harris for a year, making him at the time the longest then in the met gala she meet Tom H, she cheated on Calvin with Tom, she even admitted this in a few songs, and then she dropped Tom (apparently because he wanted a serious relationship and to her he was a rebound) she drops Tom and then starts dating joe first as a friends with benefits then into a serious relationship. All this drama happened between a year.
So to me, joe break up with her because he didn’t give her what she wanted (supposedly she wanted to take their relationship into the next step, marriage and he wasn’t ready), and that hurt her, so in retaliation she went on a very public relationship with Matty, this was her getting back at him since he has always been very private about his personal life, even when he was dating Taylor, so this thing with Matty was like a little “f^ck you I can get any men I want and being as public as I want” and her singing lover and Matty acting like the song was about him? Obviously another f^uck you to joe and he served her as a rebound, plus swifties were the ones who stared the rumors that joe cheated on her with a co-star, then the rumors were about how Taylor cheated on joe, some fans who used to praise their relationships were so quick to turned their backs at him (specially the ones who believes Taylor and karlie kloss are in a secret relationship) to fit a narrative where Taylor is a victim of being a closeted artist, at this point Taylor and her team no longer needs to do anything to change the narrative because her toxic fans would do it for her, and I say this as a swiftie, I love her and her music but this doesn’t need to blind you to see how messy she is, specially in her love life.
Maybe this relationship had nothing to do with her gaining more headlines since she didn’t need it in the first place, her tour was and still are one of the most successful and still making headlines, maybe this was a favor between Taylor and Matty teams, we know how Hollywood is, they asked for favors and repays them with more favors, and Matty band announcing a tour no longer after this scandal? There is no way that is a coincidence.

I think she had been in a long term relationship that had been in a death spiral for a long time. I think in Taylor's mind her relationship with Joe had been over for awhile and she'd been looking for an opportunity to get out of it. So once she was free and (more importantly) publicly single, and she started up a new relationship with Matty, her "what if" guy, and just became absolutely stupid with infatuation. She went from a passionless relationship to getting dicked down on the daily. She was probably aware of his problems but was just so into him she probably thought she could fix him. Then she was getting fan backlash and cracks probably started to form in the relationship behind the scenes and Taylor probably decided to cut her losses.
tl dr: The dick really just was that good guys, and she wanted to fix him

That’s why they can’t be PR ~ Joe always kept it private and no one even knows who he is let alone he dated TS for 7 years.

@@alansmithee5595 He was selected by Ang Lee before he even met Swift. That was his advantage. His association with Swift did not, as a matter of fact he started dating Swift when she was being rubbed in the dirt. And he chooses mostly support roles. As long as he is working he is content.
