Greatest director alive
@@nomad639 Who do you think is, then? The only others I can think of would be Tsai Ming-liang, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and Pedro Costa.
@@nomad639 Wrong, mine are definitely based more on visuals and directing. Tsai Ming-liang doesn't even write scripts, I'm pretty sure Weerasethakul doesn't either, not sure about Costa. Even so, their imagery is infinitely more thoughtful, beautiful, and impressive than anything Nicolas "Neon Lights" Refn has ever done.
@@nomad639 What the fuck are you talking about? My favorite director is Andrei Tarkovsky.
And one of the greatest of all time for sure. One of long take of Satantango itself takes the career of many directores out there. He is up with Tarkovsky and Bergman for me.
The others are just comics 👏👏
The Turin Horse was an important discovery for me.
El Maestro Béla Tarr imparte cátedra con una claridad intelectual y una calidez humana que sólo puede inspirar admiración, respeto y cariño.
I love him
It´s a shame, for all who love his work, he´s not filming anymore.
It really is, but wow look back at that filmography. He gave us 4 of the best films to ever be recorded
a true philospher and astehète
Legend♥️♥️

👍🏻
Jeanne Dielman.....3 1/2 hours with a Belgian woman in her apt. Time spent with an ordinary person leads to devastating conclusion. Tarr understands this cinematic vision.
