We bumped into Adam Delamielleure at Foxtoberfest 2019 in Kannapolis, NC. He had one of the nicest 88 Thunderbirds we have seen. On top of that, it was Coyote Swapped! As we looked over the bird we spotted our Speed Drive on the front of the engine and we knew we needed to chat with Adam.
He tells us how the project came to be and how much of a rust bucket it was when he got it. There were not original plans to repower the car but a Coyote engine landed in his lap and he knew what he had to do. After watching The Foxcast and learning about our Speed Drive he ordered the parts up and got the swap moving.
The results are really great as this Thunderbird got a new lease on life and a slick new paintjob. All the work was done by Adam and he did a great job in that.
Here is a mod list from this Tbird:

I wanted to be the first one to do this lol, beautiful though
Love it!!! PBH FTW!
Frigging nice.
My respect
Out thoughts exactly
OMG ! I love this car ! See these are the goals i need to set forth with my 95 tbird but would an engine that size even fit ? hmmmm
Did you use a certain kit to swap it to 5 lug? I’ve been looking into switching my 88 5.0 over to 5 lug
All sn95 mustang stuff
Ik this is old but i need help,i have a stock1988 thunderbird lx and im wondering what to do to it performance wise, where do i start n especially where to get the parts.in need in some serious help.wanna get it back up for my dad:(
Let me reach way back into my windsor days here. I imagine it is a 302W. If so, the path to performance would lay in cam, heads, intake. Other bolt ons can be done like cold air kits, shorty or longtube headers, and even throttle bodies. If not already done, move to an electric fan also. A big upgrade to consider is a stand alone pcm. Megasquirt for example will be a good upgrade so you can tune the car for driveablity and actually be able to diagnose it for issues. Plus when you start making changes, that control is paramount for making sure its 100%
What is the size of your rim&tire combination if i may ask brother
Do you know the size bro
18x9 and 18x10 255/35r18 and 285/35r18
What did you do with the 5.0 with H.O. headers, the T -bird came with the non H.O. 155 HP snail motor with cast iron manifolds and AOD ?
Was just about the say the same, looks like previous owner did H.O conversion.
I'm having starter heat soak problems with mine.
If the headers are close to it, try making a shield, some of the wraps that are offered only retain heat sometimes. A shield on the starter with a gap will keep more heat away from it.
@@PowerByTheHourPerformance I am having the cats cut off on Monday. they might be clogging. I tried a starter wrap but it still only starts when cold. When hot I have to tap the starter to get it to turn over. I have short headers and they are a good distance away. It has a 347 stroker with MSD EFI, 8.8 3.73 rear end. It actually started doing it when the rear axle was changed from a 7.5 to 8.8. Maybe that was just a coincidence, and the cats just happen to start clogging after that.
Where can I watch more content of this car!??
Hey Hyphy2v, I would try to find Adam on Facebook. He posts videos and pics pretty regularly there.
