Remember McGregor & Cerrone

- In 2015, Conor McGregor was a rising star with ambitions of becoming a two-division UFC champion. But other fighters including Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone didn't believe the hype around McGregor. Five years later, McGregor and Cerrone would meet in the main event of UFC 246. But in the buildup the two would show respect for each other's careers, and joke about their old press conference battle. #conormcgregor #donaldcerrone #shorts #ufc

Donald indeed found out he was a stick in the mud…
*stuck
@@kanehunwicks5946 No, stick.
He was 2 fights from retirement, this fight was a joke.
He is a journeyman bum who won many robberies
Yeah five years after the original confrontation when cowboy was a shell of his former self
This video was legit longer than their fight
Lmao
You can add the aldo fight onto that aswell 😂
Too dark roast 💀😂😂
Cowboy was like a Gone with the Wind length fight compared to Aldo.
Props to Connor for fighting at 145, 155, and 170 with wins in all 3 classes. Donald is no joke and this is when he was still “karate” Connor which we would all love to see come back.
The Donald fight was long after “karate” Conor. This was the same conor that fought Dustin these past 2 times. Karate conor was before the Mayweather boxing fight
In some recent clips of him he's going back to it and I'm excited
Its hard to understand hus haters who then support his copycats...... He us genuinly willing to fught anybody at any weight while most like dustin poirier boil down just to get the advantage of fighting smaller men, khabib was the same... Trye greats take chances, inactivity did for conor, even though he kept training during his inactive years its the actual fights that you learn from and keep sharp from, he is still fast and has always had that left hand but the extra weight, and muscle dont help byt ge changed the ufc in such a short time
He also got submitted in all 3 classes and that’s a personal record for the Mac.
This was boxing brawler Conor. We haven’t seen karate Conor since before the may weather fight, which is a shame.
I love connors shoulder strikes he’s able to land them every time and you can hear there’s a good amount of force behind them
He beat the brakes off that man.
His hair was literally still perfect
This fight was staged for conor to win. They're just trying to hype him up just like they're staging for him to beat chandler stylewise.

That fight was masterclass. Incredible shoulder shots
Those shoulders were nasty 😬
Yeah I know they actually hurt him kinda crazy
Yeah especially how Conor cheated, grab cowboy by his shorts for extra leverage smh
@@geradoprado8289 no he didn't lol

@@Blernster go watch it back
Is it weird if i was half smiling throughout their respect for eachother
regardless of what Conors been on right now all the parties and shit. the money and everything.... he's just still a great warrior, coming out from 145 to 170, fighting at 170 3 times just shows how fearless he is. fought floyd as well in boxing. always coming out of his comfort zone. just a great fighter! he made the ufc bigger than it could ever be. respect!
Cowboy was so weird in that fight. Dude just stood still waiting to get hit lol
In all fairness this was at the end of his career
@@mbb8111 yeah true
@@mbb8111 yeah end of his career how many times did he fight after that
Cowboy always choked in big fights. Remember his title shot?
@@user-vo1gd5sk8n ...he fought 4 more fights after that and has over 50 fights...McGregor was in the last 10 percent of his career life span so yes END of career. Learn math
Conner McGregor has lived the road house life
McGregor didn’t even mess up his hair.
There goes ol' Stick-In-Da-Mud Cerone 😂
Those shoulder strikes 😮!
Excellent edit
Those shoulders in that opening sequence is some of the most vicious/brutal shots ive ever seen thrown in the cage. Shit was just nasty and shocking to see. Conor is forever goated in this game no matter what anyone says you cannot take away all the things he accomplished in the sport.
I've watched this fight many many times. Mainly because something just didn't sit right about it. Go back and look at Donald's losses. How he performed. He always showed some kind of offense. But when "fought" Connor,....he just literally took a beating. No resistance. No offense. No nothing. He just allowed Connor to T off on him. Yes I know people say the opening knee hurt Donald. Im not seeing it. Something truly off with that fight. Didn't train??? Just wanted the big payday on retirement day??? Or,........
I watched an interview with cowboy and he said he didn't want the Conor fight to begin with. Imo cowboy took the fight for a big payday and fair play to him he deserves it. Plus i think he had one foot already out the door already.
He threw up before the fight or almost did.
@@blueninjanoname7338 🤣🤣🤣🤣Well that explains it. 🤣😍🤣😍
Truth
I think he was sick or an injury
I wish Cowboy showed up for this one. Even if he didn't win I wish it was competitive. Would have been nice to see. Cowboy is awesome
Agreed. Fast finishes are always exciting but there’s a lot of fights that would’ve been amazing to see had they lasted longer.
The same cowboy in that press conference wasn't the same Cowboy five years later that fought Conor.
Could say the same about Conor. Both on the slide
Im a huge cowboy fan, but i think his heart just wasn’t in it anymore. He wanted the payday at the end of his career, probably didn’t care if he even won who knows
I agree. Cowboy was awesome and had a long career. Seems they always show the bad moments of fighters on UA-cam. The Real Bad.
I had the same reaction. He didn't have the edge he normally did. If I remember he took this on short notice too.
@@darksaga80normally did? Cowboy has always been a wishy washy fighter 😂. He either shows up or doesn’t, he also quite a lot during fights 😂
The biggest difference is Cowboy is a slow starter, McGregor is a fast starter
Yeah everytime he lost in round 1, he was conveniently "just not there". But when he won, that was the real him, right?
There is just a certain level of fighters who almost always beat Cowboy.
Conner at 175 looks as big as Khabib at 155
So cowboy maybe correct, i mean khabib vs connor looked like 2 different weight class
Is this where connie's fans hangout and cry them selves to sleep?😂😂😂
@@hisoka524 go back to school and listen.
@@hisoka524dummy khabib litterally walks around at like 200 have u seen how huge he is now? Dude was fighting the smallest guys he could that's why he's able to Rag doll them khabib would get destroyed if he fought anywhere near his actual weight
170
That “Yeehaw!!” is the pure gold 😂 💀
There's something very wholesome about friendly Cowboy 🤠
This dude dove faster than a dolphin trying to escape an Orca.
Dude those shoulder strikes were out of this world
That was the most expensive one min I ever paid for besides conceiving my kid
Conner whooped that ass
The Cowboy is a legend. Conor as well. They all go down, it’s just a matter of when. I love em both.
Just got me left hand me left hand and me left shoulder
Cerrone DIVED.
Conner is like that Hank Paul they fight old people &midgets😂
@@VideoRandomChannel are you asking me my favorite fighter big moneys ✅👍
Those shoulder striped were very nice
Cerrone got paid off
I love Conor as a person he is badass
Masterclass
That was Conor’s tune up fight and it was incredible……and then he faced Dustin. 😬😬😬
Didn't notice that knee strike in the first exchange
Let’s go mcrgegor do it to Gatehje 😈😈
Paid to lose cowboy walked away with the bag
Donald took a bag and fell.
His last win🤣
His most recent win** because he’s still fighting chandler next and after that he probably has a couple more years left so probably not his last
@@PoweredPR okay. I never said it would be his LAST win, but it could be. I said what I mean. It was quite literally the last time he won.
@@morakoi4479 hmm, maybe I misunderstood then. Thx for the clarification
you're right! but damn he kicked cerone's ass... i would never even look at the cowboy funny i don't have the balls
He's only fought one guy (Dustin) since. Why do people act like Conor has lost to every top 10 lightweight or something
What a great retirement check for cowboy !!!
His hair never even fell out of place 😂
Nate’s Kids
One of the best performances I've seen by McGregor. He went out there and made a fucking statement. Cerrone, didn't land one hit. I love Cerrone, but my lord Conor proved how much better he was
He was old and washed up
Cerrone was 2 fights away from retirement but hey, we know how much Connor likes fighting old men.
@@nikscott6644 I understand that, I never expected him to win. But at least land one hit. I love Cerrone, but McGregor was switched on
If Conor would have fought Cowboy the year he called him lucky charms Cowboy would have won, Conor fought Cowboy when he was washed up.
@@gilbertmartinez7685 honestly, it would be a good fight. But Prime Connor vs Prime Donald. McGregor most likely wins tbh
McGregor!!!!!!
Still here and relevant...
Where are his competitors.
He took a dive
If I were fighting Donald I’d wear a T-shirt with Pedro Pony from Peppa Pig wearing his cowboy costume
He is not celebrity, he just bounce 😂😂
The only thing that wasn't wholesome was the fight itself
He could have picked Justin and tony at 155
And at 170 he could have picked Usman
but he decided not to take risk
He fought with Khabib (who beat Justin by the way) after 2 years off but you trying to say he is a coward? Lame try man
@@EmeralArcher He did that out of delusion and on hindsight he had no choice.

Notorious
Good to see cowboy get that big pay day before he retired
Yeah i remember when cowboy got paid to lose
He smoked Donald so quick you can get all those presser clips in and show the whole fight in a #short 🤣🤣
Corrone is still a beast
He was indeed one mug stick that came across very stuck that conors shoulder got sore
this is the mcgregor we need vs chandler
Didn't even break a sweat
You've earned that multi-million dollar payday and i'm delighted for you bRRo.
"You beat nobody"
Win list at that time: "Max Holloway, Dustin Porior, Dennis Siver.
Love Donald Cerrone but he was definitely a shot fighter by this fight and he admitted he was so nervous for that fight he couldn’t get loose. Not everyone is made for the biggest spotlight
Ridiculous damage in such a quick fight
Cowboy is too talkative for being a punching bag
This conor was an absolute monster
Conor really did wait for Cerrone to hit his retirement age lol
The thing about cowboy is he didn’t always show up and he didn’t in this fight
I remember that original press conference and people thought at the time it was outrageous that Conor even suggested he could beat Cowboy at 155
I went to that fight. The audience was crazy loud!
I loved cowboy but I just realized he went 4-11 in his last 15 fights. If you ignore the loss overturned to a NC. Whew…
But continue being that guy that beat Ceroni.
Ref let him commit murder tf slow ref smh .
Conor at 170 was a beast
Donald def took the fall for the check
fight was a long time coming, couldve been donald that replaced dos anjos instead of nate but aint mad history was made that night lol
Donald got his red panty night
I love Donald.... man's an absolute legend but that was just not his night.
He caught an old Cerrone man would’ve been a much better fight during that time of the original press conference when Cerrone was still hanging on to the tail end of his peak not when he is riding a 3 fight losing streak.
Literally the only person that kept ufc alive the only reason they fought him was bc they needed that payday 🤣
He humiliated Cerone. Cemented him as a second tier fight.
Imagine breaking a face bone with shoulder
Music name please??
The instrumental is called "Sinister" by Anno Domini Beats. All of the music heard in my videos can be found inside the Audio Library of UA-cam Studio.
Huge Cowboy fan. but he threw that fight. You can't convince me otherwise
And that was the last anybody has ever seen of McGregor
The mindset and growth he had on his return was his best version, but Connor has to be Connor right 😒
Yeah… you WERE.
Prime Connor and I don’t give a fuck what anyone thinks.
Cowboy was right considering cowboy was his last win in the ufc for perspective......
YEAHi
YEE HAW!!!
He has hair in this fight
Mcregor should never went back to 155 after cowboy
Dennis siver lasted longer
Congratulations on being the 7th fighter to tko Cerrone Conor.
