Pai cum poti sa admiri istoria stramosilor adevarati, numindu-te cu numele celor care au furat'o, distrus'o,- roman, romaneasca etc. Acesta'i paradoxul omenirii de azi.

Greetings from Bulgaria! I am glad that somebody from the Thracian world is making those documentaries and adding a translation because the world should finally understand the contrubution of our ancestors to the world history and start recognizing us as the mother of Greek and Roman cultures. A small detail- why use "they", when we can use "we"- in the end of the day we are talking about our ancestors. Contemporary history (at least in Bulgaria) tells us that the Thracians have disappeared and that they couldn't write but everybody with the slightest knowledge of history knows this is simply not true, as well as that the Slavs is just a more modern name for the Thracians. I wish Romania didn't take a latin language but continued speaking a Slavic language, so that we could be more united. I could understand some words such as "taina" , "oki", "zhertva", "vreme", "praznik", "rai".

I am Romanian and I mean no offence to our Bulgarian brothers, but I need to clarify some things: you said that Romanian was speaking a slavic language, then we took a latin language. That is not true. Firstly, Romania never spoke a slavic language. Yes, we used the chirilic alphabet for a while, but the language was never a slavic language, even when written with a chirilic alphabet. Yes we have some words that were interpreted wrongly by some lingvists/historians in the past as influence from slavic languages, but updated research shows that this was not the case. Instead these words are coming from the original Indo-European language spoken in this region for millenniums BC. Also the theory that dacians were romanised by roman conquerors so the language became a latin one is also false and it was debunked easily by many specialists. The dacian and the latin languages are sister or cousin languages. The Romanian language is the direct descended of the dacian and the original Indo-European language. It is rather the thracians at the south of Danube (like in the current day Bulgaria) that gave up their thracian/geto-dacian language after the bulgars started coming to Europe in the 2nd century AD and adopted a slavic language.

I have been researching the Steppe(British and insular, sorry) Anyway this video was like the lights going on for a whole bunch of stuff at the roots of greek civilisation, hebrew thought, even zoroastrianism and I watch a LOT of these type of videos but this was bloody well done. @@dafi0Nords are the same people. If you look at how Thracians were described (visually) back in the day, you’ll find the resemblance to Nords and Balts quite striking. I believe that there was also Lithuanian linguist, who found striking and quantitatively similarities between Lithuanian and Thracian language. In fact, Zalmoxis has an ending (-is), which is an extremely common ending for male person names for both Lithuanians and Latvians. The place names - many ancient Dacian settlements had names with ending (-ava) in them. You’ll find plenty of those in Latvia. Even our main river is called Daugava. We have cities like Jumprava, Jelgava, Jaunjelgava, Jaunkalsnava, Barkava, Kandava, Ārlava and so on and so on.
I mean, Romanians can lay claim to be direct descendants of Dacians and Gaete, but in all fairness, the Balts were the last pagans of Europe. And it is hard to deny that we shared many beliefs, rituals and even deities. The only difference being - we also look like what those Dacians supposedly looked like according to contemporary historians.

There are many groups such as the Visigoths, Ostrogoths, etc., but they all seem to be the same or at least similar. In conclusion, the soul is energy; it never dies but transforms, travels, etc. Even the body does not die but transforms in a cyclical manner. Thus, our ancestors had this knowledge, and the Roman Empire initially, for example Aurelian and his family, grew up with the (as religious calls it) 'pagans', but today the term 'pagan' carries negative connotations as religion misrepresented paganism and portrayed it negatively, similar to what enemies and later the Western world did with the image of Vlad Dracula. In fact, pagans were what older cultures used to be: living normal lives with humans connected to nature, being spiritual, loving, and in harmony with everything

Italia e la pamint, si c-a sa nu se ajunga si mai jos, in Anglia, Brxit a luat amploare, si s-a iesit. Curind vor cade si alte tari, si se ermina lipsa asta de mindrie, unde cetateanul de rind devenise sclav, asa cum este acum... din pacate vreo doua generatii vor trece pina se va regla saracia creata de libertatea de calatorie. Eu nu zic sa se inchida granitele, eu zic sa existe turism, nu exploatare de forta de munca. @@Mystique-Dreams Știu că în US " nu umblă câinii cu covrigi în coadă" și nicăieri în lume. Tu ai menționat că granițele cu US ar trebui deschise ( bănuiesc că pentru români). Iar eu am precizat de ce nu chiar oricine poate ajunge în US. Sunt zeci sau poate sute de milioane de oameni care vor să emigreze în US ( nu fac parte din această categorie). A fost odată " Țara Făgăduinței".

Very interesting. It would also be interesting to know in how far the Zalmoxian religion helped the ancient Roman language in Dacia to have survived for such a long time. Considering Romanian to be the closest to Latin. I guess it could have to do something with the belief in the afterlife.
All can i say is that, the Roman empire didn`t conquer all Dacia they went for the capital and that was it, the Romanian language is the latin language and all other latin languages is close to it. And btw Zal means Chief (sef in romanian) Moxis means Moses (Moise in romanian) thats what i think that Zal Moxis was Moses thats how i explain so many Christian nations around us.

The thracians from fallen Troy fled to Italy and to the Balkans but they did not speak a Latin language, they spoke a language closer to ancient Bulgarian or later called ancient Slavic. As a matter of fact Slavic people were just ancestors of the Thracians themselves but history has somehow decided to skip this information in order to give some nations like the greeks more credit in history than they deserve.

Și eu mă întreb același lucru de multe ori. Documentare peste documentare și filme la Hollywood despre un anumit trib din antichitate dar absolut nimic despre Traci. Tracii care au fost o mare civilizație, care își construiau orașe, care l-au decapitat pe Cirus, au rezistat în fața lui Darius, a Imperiului Roman, au influențat religia greacă și romană. Păcat! O parte din vină este și a noastră pentru că nu facem nimic pentru a face cunoscute aceste lucruri. Iar dacă se face un film, este dat doar în țară, nu și în străinătate. Păi frate, dacă faci un film bun, mergi până la capăt și fă tot posibilul să apară în Cinematografele din toată lumea. Un exemplu este filmul cu Regina Maria. Un film excepțional dar văzut doar de români. Chiar nu puteau să-l bage în cinematografele din străinătate? Păcat! Lasă că se bucură Occidentalii cu triburile lor antice, le promovează și turiștii se duc să viziteze cocioabele în care trăiau acum 2000 de ani. Iar noi cu zeci/sute de cetăți, le lăsăm în paragină.

Zalmolxis si Platone ereau aceiași persoana! Platone vorbea elevilor săi de după o perdea sau cu o masca luminoasă pe figura! Se travestea pentru a nu fi cunoscut. Platon se spune că era un Elohim și deci era un Zeu ( extraterestru) avea că sclav Zalmolxis! Daca nu era un Zeu ci un uman nu putea să aibă un slav semizeu mai degrabă inversa. In plus Zalmolxis venea și plecă dincolo în alte dimensiuni! Eu cred că era aceiași persoana dar că se deghiza și schimba numele pentru a nu fi recunoscut ! In plus pe atunci zeii trăiau și 300 de ani!
Avem o istorie atat de bogata dar sincer uneori mi-e rusine cu guvernul nostru. Atatea site-uri arheologice si nimanui din guvern nu le pasa. Pana si Iran au deschis portile istoriei, porti care pana in anii 2000 au fost inchise, iar noi lasam istoria noastra, a geto-dacilor, uitata pana si de timp. Trist...

1. Are there any active tribes that still represent their beliefs and laws?
2. Are there any treaties , there are usually remadies from ancestors left for the following generations.
3. Are there any constitutions that they put together and followed.
I have the right , we have the right , to know so and use what we see fit us.

@@roxindanielExcellent documentary. Have you looked into similarities between Balts and Thracians? The more I look into it, the more I feel that we might be more or less the same people. Perhaps not the modern day Romanians, but we definitely share the ancestry. As far as I can tell. It’s a shame our historians haven’t gotten around digging for the roots so actively, but there are similarities, which are striking. However, apart from those similarities, not much is known about Balts, because all the conquests of Europe, that have come from the East, have somehow bypassed the Balts. The Huns, the Mongols, also the Romans - they’ve never gone as far as Baltics, but the existence of some kind of tribes have been known since ancient times, because of the Amber road…

Unul, Josephus Flavius, deși cu nume roman a fost un traducător (trădător judeu) care la cerința generalului Titus, fiul împăratului Vespasianus Flavius, a dat poporului judeu anumite scrieri despre un "mesiah" care va veni pentru ei ca să-i elibereze. Până atunci se vor supune legilor preoțești, de acord cu uzurpatorii romani. "Dați Cezarului ce-i al Cezarului!" Să nu uităm că Josephus Flavius a fost făcut cetățean de onoare al imperiului roman și a primit numele onorariu al dinastiei lor Flavius. Titus s-a întors la Roma, cu toate scrierile sacre ale judeilor pe lângă multele bogății în aur pietre prețioase s. a. m. d. Toate aceste texte sacre (evangheliile și scrierile vechilor părinți ai lor), se găsesc și astăzi în subsolurile Vaticanului unde nu toți au acces. Pe baza acestor manuscrise a fost compilata biblia. În anul 325 e. n. a fost compilata biblia de către niște vescovi, la ordinul împăratului Constantin, și el din dinastia Flavianilor. Noi acum trebuie să credem în ceea ce au scris niște preoți șarlatani care au făcut totul pentru îndobitocirea populației la ordinul unui jefuitor indoctrinandu-i pe toți să fie de partea lui. Textele sacre ale "poporului ales," au fost scrise doar pentru ei, noi nu avem nimic de-a face cu acestea. Mesajul inițial l-am scris cu ceva vreme în urmă iar între timp contul pe YT mi-a fost suspendat de două ori. Probabil că referința pe care am inclus-o a fost unul dintre motive. În orice caz, distrugerea economiei și dispersarea noastră spre toate colțurile zării nu este chiar întâmplătoare. Vikings were a Germanic tribe, they were not as friendly as Dacians, and theyr religion is basicly renamed Hellenic religion (same principles with the exception of preferences in Gods, whereas war God would be more preferable since most men were engaged in it). Dacians on the other hand had one and only God, even other tribes that joined Transylvanian ("beyond woods") coalition converted to it. There is a possibility of druidism and shamanism prior to that, but we have absolutely no record of that. Building wise, I'd suspect that it was technology from Celts as they were migrating tribes and had contact with many people (such as vikings and Dacians). They were also very advanced in manufacturing od tools and such.

Stâlpii funerari, există şi in cimitirul din comuna Râca judeţul Argeş. Aceşti stâlpi se puneau la 40 de zile de la înhumare. Există credinţa, până în zilele noastre! că înainte să se înalţe la ceruri, sufletul se odihneşte o clipă pe acest stâlp funerar.

Zeii, daca e sa ne luam dupa impartirea pe epoci pe care au facut-o istoricii din secolele XIX si XX, tin de timpurile mitice, adica dincolo de anul 2000 .î.H., (poate chiar 2700-2800), "cand zeii umblau pe pamant printre muritori". Pe masura ce ne apropiem de timpurile istorice, printre muritori, pe pamant, mai intalnim doar semizei si mai apoi doar eroi (eh!... un fel de evolutie invers).
Personajul din sec. VIII î.H. caruia Herodot si nu numai ii spuneau Zalmoxis sau Zamolxis, cel mai probabil, a fost un uzurpator al numelui/titlului zeului celui vechi Zamolxis/Zalmoxis, care trebuie sa fi fost mult, mult mai vechi, probabil undeva pe la 3000-2700 î.H., cand printre oameni erau de la Uranus/Jupiter/Ianus (tatal zeilor), pana la Cronos/Saturn, Zeus si ceilalti zei mai mici.

In small areas they were called Dacians, Illyrians, Carpians, Getaes, etc ... But in reality they were all Thracians. They had the same language and religion. It is wrong to say that the Dacians and Thracians are different peoples because the Dacians themselves were Thracians. As today each country has different regions with different names but in them live the same people.
For example, in Romania there are 2 regions Muntenia and Oltenia, this does not mean that they are two different peoples. They are all Romanians. It was the same in antiquity with the Thracians.
It sounds very bad when we list all the tribes when we refer to a certain king or our ancestors in general:

Dacia in itself was a coalition of various tribes and the first East European Empire, and yes it Was distinctly called "Dacia", by those people who lived there. Greek historians and geographers were traveling mostly by the shore of Black Sea and South Danube, hence they never went as far as Carpathians, for them anything North of Greece were Thracians who were their barbaric opponents. Getae were Simply Skythian migrates who also settled near Danube and assimilated in Dacian confederation of tribes. To go deeper, proto-Dacians were people who survived Biblical floods and they came from various European tribes but had to work together, and eventually formed their own ethnos. Mostly they had Sarmathian (Aka Moesian /Nowadays Bulgarian) and Skythian (South Ukraine) Ancestry. When people speak of Thracians, they usually mean, barbarian Greek relatives. That is not case with Dacians. Religion wise, Dacians were monotheistic, for them the only God was Zalmoxis whilst Thracians were practicing polytheism - Greek or reformed Greek Helenic religion, as well as sarmato-iranic influenced, hense Sabazios the horseman (since sarmats were masters of horses at the time, and even wore horse-hoove armour), something also that they had in common with Moesians. Whilst Getae Skythian had custom to pray to their sword, And if there was a skull of enemy on it like kebab - than it doubled in magic powers :). All in all I believe that without a doubt that most of us are related, however historically wise my stance that Thracia and Dacia were two distinct separate civilizations.
