Coquette (meaning a flirt, a girl or woman who knows how to flatter and manipulate men with her charms in order to get what she wants) was composed by Johnny Green and Carmen Lombardo, with lyrics by Gus Kahn. Guy Lombardo had great success with the song in 1928.
