*이곳은 교토의 오래된 시가지가 그대로 남아 정취가 넘치는 언덕으로, 교토를 대표하는 관광지이다다. 돌계단으로 이루어진 운치 있는 비탈길은 키요미즈데라(清水寺)로 이어지는 참배 길이자, 교토의 기념품 가게가 줄지어 늘어서 있다. 비탈길과 집들이 한데 어우러진 아름다운 풍경은 일본의 중요 전통적 건조물 군 보존 지구로 지정되어 1년 내내 관광객이 끊이지 않는 곳이다.
*The area along Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka slopes keep the atmosphere of traditional old Kyoto and are regarded as one of the best sightseeing spots in Kyoto. The stone pavement originally built as the approach to Kiyomizu-dera is now lined with a lot of souvenir shops. The scenery of the winding narrow lanes and traditional-style buildings is designated as a Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings and filled with a lot of tourists all year round.

I am not familiar with this very busy area, but then again I only had two days in Kyoto so there was a lot that I didn't see. One thing that always interests me is seeing Western people wearing traditional Japanese clothing. In America that would not be acceptable, but I know that the Japanese don't mind at all. Is it normal for Western people to dress in Korean traditional clothing? That was a very nice area to walk through, but maybe a few too many people for my liking ;) I always enjoy seeing traditional dress and there were some very pretty people in your video.

It was a wonderful place with streets and traditional houses where you can feel the atmosphere of old Japan. I wanted to enjoy street food and take a leisurely walk, but I couldn't because there were so many tourists. For foreigners, the traditional clothes that represent the country look beautiful and unique, so they seem to want to wear them out of curiosity in a place like this.😃
