You're a life saver 👍 I've lived in my house for 8 years without using this alarm system until one day recently it started beeping every time I opened a door. Obviously I had no idea what the code was. No more beeping! 🎉
Thats the chime feature. You can turn it off by (your code) + 9 The code is most likely 1234 (default master code), 6321 (default ADT installer code), or 4112 (default ademco installer code). Or you can backdoor into it if lockout is disabled, like he does.
@@officialoofyt Good info! I did it exactly as he showed in the video and made a new passcode. Interestingly my installers code was something like, 0302 or something. It wasn't 6321.
Hello, I have a vista 20SE. None of the default codes work and I can't backdoor into it. Do you know a way I can find the code without going 0000-9999?
Thank you for being so informative! We have the ADT panel you are demonstrating in your video. It came with 2 prox tags, one of which stopped working in arming and disarming the system. ADT no longer sells these prox tags but I found them online through a security company. We would like to know how to get them to work with our system. The information we find says to enter the master code + 8 + XX(an available location) + the 4 digit serial number of the tag. How do we find the 2 digit location number to use? When the system was installed 5 years ago, they gave us a list of the locations of windows, doors, and smoke/heat detectors.
You will have to give me a bit of time to get your info,,, has been a while me since using prox tags,,, but the 2 digits you refer to are the position of the code associated with the tag,,, so let's say you want one for the master code user and his or her code is in position 2 when it was programmed into the system, so his or her 2 digits would be 02,,,, then little Suzy wants a prox tag and her code is in 05 so the 2 digits for her tag would be 05 and so on
From what I can tell from my list, locations 9-42 are taken with the various windows, doors, smokes, etc. The number 50 is written next to "fob" with the 2 digit numbers 99 and 95 written under the 50. If 50 is the location of the 2 original fobs, can we now "install" more than one fob at that same location without inadvertently deleting the one that works? Or can we select a location above 50? I have no idea what is in locations 1-8, if anything. Is there a way to find out what is currently programmed at each location by doing something with the panel?
Each fob takes up 4 zones so if it's marked 50 most likely the installer used 50-54 for that fob,,,99 and 95 simply indicate police panic and medical is active on the keyfob. @@juliez3583
Thank you for taking the time to try to help! We're still having issues however. Is there a limit to the number of locations available? Or do we have to somehow "program" a location to accept the fob prior to entering the series of numbers I previously mentioned? It would be useful to be able to determine which locations ARE available. Otherwise the fobs I bought just aren't compatible even though they look the same. Thank you, again!
