This battle was very bad, looking at the other battles and considering the previous year's battles... I don't know the folly of doing this format.
It limits what is a battle and tries to make it a show, what Hip Hop had progressed from appreciating the full proposal of the dancer, it regresses it to just making it an attempt at a show because of the format it's in.
Poor execution, again, but they can do much better, that's the positive.
Dude and no one was capitalizing on punchlines, specially with specific popular songs that were played.
You could tell that many couldn't do their thing because they either had to focus on their timer, shit djs and had to watch out for rappers coming out. Many rounds didn't feel organic, people were just doing filler moves to set up their combo routines and the crowd knows it.

Bruh i said it on another video but the djs playing dubstep throughout the entire event killed the vibe, can count on one hand how many good tracks were played. This + all the gimmicks at the event meant the majority of dancers werent responding or interacting with their opponents in battle, theyre all just doing rehearsed combos to beat patterns. Congrats to sniper and naab because they were the best dancers throughout
If all the heavy hitters were at this event instead, we would see magic happen. I wonder why Fik Shun doesn't go to these.
Maybe, but there was so many dope dancers at this event from across different genres already here that I KNOW are capable of bringing hype, but couldn't due to the 20+ rules and shit djs

I want to talk about Gee Sniper. The first time I saw his dance battle, I was like this crazy krumper guy 🔥 He deserves to win. Congratulations to Gee Sniper and Queen Naap .
This used to be my favorite event now the new rules and features have made it a joke it’s turning into Cringe Concept.
The consistent boo’s throughout the whole tournament were clear indications.

Energy is key in big battles. Chillen and looking like yall going through the motions without intensity or some type of build up. I wish Dyk and Zyk sticked to their dancing and away from so many commandos. They are next level solo. JR and Queen came with the energy and showed the hunger. Dope Battle!

Just stick to what's most sensible and logical in battles. Having people dance to different songs per time doesn't really make either better as much now depends on the DJ and the song choice. How can I judge two groups of dancers in a battle where they both dance to different songs. It's in how both teams are able to deliver on the same songs/sounds that I can assess their energy, creativity, technique, and delivery. This why I never liked this format in Krump battles where both squads come with their music. No. Let's dance to the same shit and see which performances is more appealing. Overall this battle didn't give that final feel. Felt like dance presentations rather than a dance battle. Happy for Jr Sniper especially. he's been consistent.

Fusion concept has got worse every year since after the 2019 event(which ironically was one of the best fusion concept events ever) . Bring back the old format. This new format is too confusing, gimmicky and encourages choreography, which is obviously opposite to fusion concepts slogan: freestyle is the future. The dj since the time mentioned above has been terrible too, hardly any good tracks whereas 2019 and before had banger after banger. Mc is pretty bad too, just screams whenever they do a big move, doesn't understand musicality. Bring back viceflow (choo choo man) or another mc who understands musicality and has genuine passion for dance. Definitley was the best freestyle event by far in 2019 and before, but now its terrible. If it's not broke don't fix it.
This year's fusion concept was booring only konkrete tight eyez kefton and beast nailed it
I believe this is the end of an era for quality battles. I really think DYKENS & ZYKO performed better, but they say that the best doesn't always win. Congratulations, DYKENS & ZYKO!

I think it depends where you’re looking, fusion concept has gone mainstream but the real battles are underground.

I’ve participated in this event here in Brazil during a qualifier and reached the semi-finals twice in different years.
@@Notepoplock most of it is not mainstream main stream is a global audience with people that have nothing to do with dance most dance events are local or regional at best fusion concept is global with a big audience of non dancers. That’s why they got singers judging it like a TV show. You participated in a qualifier that’s not the main event that’s underground unless Omarion was the judge and all your battles were going viral at the Brazilian qualifier
