All these people bringing up #ChangeTheChannel because Dante wasn't filled in on everything (arguably not on purpose either), but no one paying attention to him saying he thought Doug was a good dude, liked him as a person more than anything, and had a pretty fun end result?
Part of it was misunderstanding, and part of it was just him being too tired to care... but he enjoyed it non-the-less and it wasn't like they didn't treat him well...
Doesn't mean Doug wasn't doing something shitty. I think part of Doug's appeal is that he comes across as such a chill dude...up to (and including) when he's suggesting that his employees wanting equal wage and fair treatment (and a safe working environment) are all just assholes... He's the kind of person that can calmly explain (to your face) how it's *your fault* for dressing that way. It kinda sounds like he fast-talked Dante into it, and Dante is just such a gentle, non-confrontational person that Channel Awesome got a free cameo out of it. Honestly, fuck'm, the entire studio was trash to begin with.
"What the fuck did Doug Walker have me do? but he's so nice" given the recent, uhm... turbulence showcased by Channel Awesome, that phrase may encapsulate a lot of the root issues.
@@imanobody7911 It's a long story, cinematic venom did a pretty good video with chronicling the timeline of it, but the short of it is for years the president of the company Mike Michaud, who owns the rights to nostalgic critic, and Mike Ellis were engaging in abusive behavior towards the other producers. Doug and Rob were often complicit in it or just didn't care. Also when Justin Carmichael died they conveniently covered up the fact that he had been grooming underage children and had allegedly raped a woman. There was a laundry list of other terrible things so I recommend you watch the video if you want the full story.
Dang. It just seems like the more you learn about behind the scenes at C.A., the more dishonesty and problematic business you find. But if Nostalgia Critic’s run has been doddering to its end, that review of The Wall movie was the death knell.
I like how you ignored the part where he actually enjoyed himself and the fact that Doug was actually nice, and the fact that he did properly ask Dante and everything.
I just hear Zuko
HONOR!!!
"Top 11." Nice one.
Top 11 fuck yeah
Dante is a true fan
I knew it. I knew he was tricked into it
But he was so nice!!!
And somehow he still managed to do an incredible job haha, least he enjoyed it.
I love his positivity

Probably the real truth is complex. Doug Walker made big mistakes with Channel Awesome, but can also be pleasant to be around. Both can be true.
Totally just picturing Jake long during this he’s so darn cool
I know he’s so cute
HOLY STEVE BLUM
Dude literal legends on the stage.
I knew something was going down, and I was right, HOLY CRAP!!
Doug has ten million dollars to burn? Fucking hell.
"Top 11. How dare you."
Is that Steve blum next to him?
I think so
Yeeesssss love the guy
God damnit Steve

Well he wasn't the first innocent person to be deceived and used by channel awesome.
I can’t believe I watched him for so long. What a miserable sack of shit.
Wait wait I'm behind. What's wrong with channel awesome?

@@imanobody7911 Yeah. That's the most appropriate reaction.

He knew what he was doing shitting on Pink Floyd. He deserves every amount of hate he gets.

@@TheDeathmail He asked Dante to film stuff. He kinda led him on, or at the least wasn’t completely transparent.
Doug has no integrity.
