Bear in mind that this young fellow is providing all of the voices all by himself...using a steel string at that. Do not be too quick to critic his effort, rather, just take it for what it is - and ambitious undertaking. This was the first time I heard SJ's playing of JS's arrangement. It will not be the last.

Yes, me too! I just gave another hearing of this one and am enjoying it much. It would be lovely to hear SJ play this same arrangement on gut strings. BTW: You may enjoy hearing Dominic Miller's live instrumental version (E B S HD in Japan or Taiwan ?) that runs for 5:25. on youtube .This version of Sting's composition is a personal favorite of mine; it is a fine example of gifted souls passing the "unsung lead voice" back and forth while supported by impeccable percussion and bass. Strong Spanish/Brazilian influenced arrangement played by a very dear ensemble.

Haha, well not everybody likes people who play guitar. Me and my girlfriend years ago both played guitar (and both really well I might add). We eventually moved on to new relationships, and we are now both in a family where our spouses cannot stand more than a minute of playing. I even learned piano but that is only acceptable for 5 minutes :)
Takes the fun out of it really....but apparently it can drive people nuts to hear live instruments :)
👆I second that with violin. My parents wanted my sister to learn violin growing up, but they could not stand her playing. Yet she was first chair (which is another word for saying she’s really good).
Dont think you would like, mostly practice consists of repeating a specific part of a piece multiple times, which can be quite annoying for listeners... but once the music is done its pretty amazing to hear
simply a legend in the making no doubt bout that.

i have been watching his video's for hours now. he is the most amazing guitar player i have ever heard in my life. for his age. all i can say is wow! he makes that guitar sing. what i would have given. to be that amazing when i was his age. keep it up and you' are already a legend in my book...

ВО первых он в фингерстайле ее играет и по-своему очень хорошо, он уникальный и делает прекрасные кавера, песня и не должна звучать идентично оригиналу...
Олег, там же написано "Arrangement by Jacques Stotzem", так что кавер не его. Но сыграл классно, да. Еще бы компьютеризации поменьше

This is first Sungha video which I don't like as much as like other one's, but it's getting better every time I listened it. Maybe it's because original version is so perfect.

And that´s a difficult job...

Outstanding arrangement as well as performance. Dont pay any mind to the negative comments from those that cant appreciate a solo guitar arrangement that takes a few musical liberties in order to keep the sound full and interesting. I find your embellishments tasteful - always preserving the spirit of the piece. You are to be commended for your hard work and fearless playing- you are an inspiration to every fingerstyle guitarist.
