KL Sharma is a Gulam of the Congress family just like Sateesh Sharma. That is the reason he got to contest from Amethi. Even though I am a BJP supporter, I feel really bad for the poor Congress worker. Thrown by the Nehru-Gandhi family into a fight unprepared against Smriti in Amethi. For his nomination in Amethi, no top Congressman was present to support him. That is the amount of respect a Congress worker is currently getting for his commitment to the party.

The Congress has taken completely wrong decision. My assumption is that Rahul Gandhi is winning Waynad. Therefore, he should have not contested the election from Rae Bareli. Now the new narrative would be a combination of the following.
1. Rahul Gandhi is losing Waynad hence contesting from Rae Bareli.
2. He can't win from Amethi and hence contesting from here.
3. He doesn't want his sister to contest the elections.
4. Even if he wins from here, He will abandon it, if he wins Waynad. Such feelings will be dangerous for Congress.
4. There is a small probability of he losing both. If that happens, then Rahul's political career is finished.
5. If he vacate Waynad, then it will send the wrong message in Kerala. They have chance of winning state elections.
Considering above, the wise decision could have been,
1. Rahul contest only from Waynad.
2. Priyanka contest from Rae Bareli.
Or both Amethi and Rae Bareli should have been given to the non Gandhi family candidates.

Cong didn't want to take risk..Days of Entitlement without investment are over in New India..Did Indira or Sanjay runaway after losing in 1977. In this way, the Gandhis will be able to do justice to both Wyanad and Rae barely and make the people of both the constituencies happy. In a way, Rahul Gandhi is taking risk to help his sister.
