The daughter of Abu Bakr, the wife of the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his holy progeny), the mother of the believers, Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her??) waged a war against the sahabi, cousin and the son-in-law of the holy Prophet, a member of the holy ahlulbayt and the rightful caliph of her time, Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Many were killed and many were injured in this battle. The holy Prophet had warned his wives against this battle.
The name of this battle is the battle of Jamal.
The son of Abu Sufyan and Hind, the father of Yazeed, Mu'awiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him??) waged a war against the sahabi, cousin and the son-in-law of the holy Prophet, a member of the holy ahlulbayt and the rightful caliph of his time, Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). A highly respectable sahabi of the holy Prophet, Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred by Mu'awiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him??).
The holy Prophet had informed Ammar that he would be killed by a gang of traitors.
The name of this battle is the battle of Siffin.
As a free thinking Muslim, I am sure that it is my right to analyse such episodes and search for some concrete explanation, such as:-
1. How on earth can Allah be ever pleased with the oppressed and the oppressors at the same time?
If this is not a mockery of Deen then what else is it?
2. Can a sahabi of the holy Prophet be a warmonger, an evil monger, an unjust and a bloodthirsty?
3. Can a warmonger, an evil monger, an unjust and a bloodthirsty be a sahabi of the holy Prophet?
4. What is the definition of a sahabi?
5. If you were present at the time, whose side would you have taken and on what grounds?
6. They both can be wrong. Either of them can be right. They both cannot be right.
7. Who are the martyrs and who are the traitors?
8. What kind of examples and role models are such beings?
9. What kind of role model is Ayesha for the Muslim women?
10. How can such beings who are drenched in innocent blood be a source of knowledge, information and guidance for the Muslim ummah?
11. What kind of Islam (if that is Islam can be expected of such beings)?
12. What is the punishment for someone who rebels against the caliph of their time?
13. What would one say about those
whose hands are soaked in the blood of your own prophet's family member?
14. We are told not to speak anything against the wives and the companions of the holy Prophet regardless of their wrong doing, evil mongering, mongering, injustice and bloodshed.
The SON of Prophet Nuh (a s) could not escape the wrath of Allah. The WIVES of prophets Nuh and Lut (peace be upon them both) are thrown in the hellfire because of their corruption. Allah has cursed the UNCLE of the holy Prophet, Abu Lahab by his name in the holy Qur'an. What makes Muslims think that the sahabas and the wives of the holy Prophet can get away with injustice, warmongering and bloodshed?

15. Did Ayesha, Mu'awiyyah and their followers pray namaz/salat? In their salat, did they send blessings upon their holy Prophet and his holy progeny? What kind of beings were they who sent blessings upon their holy Prophet and his holy progeny and at the same time oppressed them, waged wars against them and spilled their blood?
Muslims claim to love the ahlulbayt (family) of the holy Prophet and at the same time they love, respect, revere and take their enemies as leaders, guide and source of knowledge and understanding about Islam. If this is not a top class hypocrisy then what else is it?
Muslims need to study the authentic history of Islam, especially events such as:-
Da'wat-e-Zul Ashira
Mubahila
Ghadir-e-Khum
Saqifa
Fadak
The death of Abuzar Ghaffari
The death of Malik bin Nuweira
The death of Muhammad bin Abi Bakr
Ashura
The truth of the matter is that the vast majority of people are victims of prejudice, brainwashing, ignorance, misconceptions and misinformation when it comes to the school of the holy ahlulbayt (a s).
If you study the so-called Muslims most authentic books like Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, you will hardly find hadith narrated by personalities like the sahabi, cousin and the son-in-law of the holy Prophet and a member of the holy ahlulbayt, Imam Ali or the Lady of the Light, beloved daughter of the holy Prophet, mistress of the women of paradise and a member of the holy ahlulbayt, Fatima Zahra or the sons of Ali and Fatima, the grandsons of the holy Prophet, the Princes of the youths of paradise and the members of the holy ahlulbayt, Imams Hasan and Husain (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all).
Is it that these great personalities had nothing to contribute towards Islam or their contributions, merits and status have been brushed under the carpet?
