I enjoy some of these older videos along with the new ones. It’s fun to see how your channel has grown and how you’re always genuine throughout all your years of content. It’s a lot nicer compared to all the other people on the platform who are always putting on as someone else.
Holy shit that near deck at 9:20 !!!
16 degrees is cold! Yet again I live in Southern California
16 degrees celcius
Yeah I know it's about 60 F
ZeroAmplified man it's almost perfect..like 17-18 would be ideal...not too warm
I'm just used to the warm weather I guess. 75 F is probably the perfect temp for me.
ZeroAmplified yupp. I believe. It all depends..humidity also makes a difference....
Not saying like California is a bad place to be..hahah.
peace
That autofocus !!
and by the way.. try the tiramisu gelato! it is great!!
Weekend whipper!
Marco really makes the best ice cream!
Did he take a picture with you for his wall of fame?
What is the name of song?
Sum Wave - After a While / Smile

Bennis if you want HD, wait :)

That is right Charlie. Takes UA-cam a little while to process it. :)
Misunnelig på turen! Ser herlig ut.
Kan dere fortelle oss stakkarer hvilken sang som begynner her i Vlog 9?

Great Work as always
still I don't really understand the changing of belay very well, like when you belay from another position
would be really nice if you could explain why hire and when to do it
cheers from Germany
They do it to eliminate rope drag for higher up the route. By removing the excess rope out of the system it lowers the friction / weight of the rope for the clips higher up.
Max Adventures ok thanks
I already got that but I wasn't really sure if this was any safer because the climber isn't on the belay for stone time
The fall distance is somewhat limited by the distance the climber is past the clip. If the belayer stays at the back then he should never hit the ground. In addition, if there was ground fall potential then he would have hit the ground on his previous falls
Tim Hughes is right. Because the route is long and horizontal, there is a risk of the climber hitting the ground due to the sheer amount of rope in the system and the dynamic elongation of the rope under load (Petzl states dynamic rope stretch anywhere from 10-40%).
That means that ground fall potential increases the more rope there is in the system if the height of the climber above ground doesn't increase to exceed the maximum elongation of the rope at any given point.
For the same reason, this is also why ground falls are common at the beginning of gym top(bottom) rope set ups in taller walls. Gyms in the know buy low stretch dynamic ropes for the purpose to compensate.
Franz Engelhardt I am going to agree to disagree. I understand your point completely, but I don't feel it applies here. The climb gains vertical height as it goes horizontally, it is not an X rates climb (ground fall potential), nor have I found any videos of people falling on this and hitting the ground (pre or post rope management). The only times I have seen this technique done is for drag management. In addition, it has a healthy amount of clips.
Woah, that rope management at around the 6;00 minute mark is super cool ! Awesome Vlog once again Magnus. Getting me stoked for summer :D
Whad brand/ model are your sunglasses?
And good work enjoyed it 👍
Oakly, frogskin
Jorg is awesome, you should have him in the vlogs more often.
*That jump in the beginning looks unreal, if you watch it at 0.25x speed. :)
I reckon Jorg won't be in the same area as Magnus all too often. But I agree, he's a really chill guy :P
Thank you Magnus. :-)
Have you finally bought this moka pot? :)
Nice, that you have Jorg in Vlog!
Great job guys. Greetings from Netherlands!
You've made me question whether or not I go to Gorge du Tarn in 3 weeks or Arco?
i ship Robin and Magnus, lets call them Ronus
Niiice. Very cool to see Jorg in the vlog haha.
Is that an old quarry? The rock doesn't look natural at all!
best part of the day
9:21 That was close
new to the channel! nice video.. subscribed! and good luck with the weather!! :)
Awesome as always! What's the grade of the "Underground" route in this crazy roof? Since Magnus is struggling on it and since he seems to routinely send the hardest stuff as if it was just his warm up I assume it's really really hard... Like 9a or more?
Just a fan's question : is there any good footage of the "Neanderthal" sending? so glad to see you still so strong!
Jorg is awesome!
If you step up the focus game, this vlog will be golden. Everything else is soo good, keep it going!
