wish i could have went!! moved down to kansas city from the north east about a month ago.. heard about this place and went down there this past weekend with my jk. pretty much stock on a 4" lift and 35s.. met a few fellow jeepers while on the main loop and showed me some trails it was a blast! would love to meet up with others to wheel with some time
That's great you found a group to show you around! On Facebook look up "KC Metro - Jeep JK Group". There are 1,500 KC JK owners in the group. We go wheeling several times a month.
At AOP in South Pittsburgh, TN we found some of the stock jeeps were doing just as well as my Rubi with no lockers and just their LSD and traction control. I found out on some of the climbs I was sliding all over the place because both tires lost traction and I slid into a tree. On crawling (no climb) I turned the lockers off and it was much more smooth of a drive.
Like the videos, it'd be nice if you could annotate some of the obstacles in video or in the description so those of us less experienced knew which obstacles we were looking at.
I still don't understand why people buy Mud tires for ROCKS when they actually do make rock tires. Most people who do rocks actually hate the mud. Lol, great cause to be doing this. I wish you would do one for MS ( Multiple Sclerosis ) my mom has it.
A lot of guys drive their rigs to work every day and rock tires aren't suitable for that. Mud terrains are a good middle ground. Sorry to hear about your mom man, I've lost a relative to MS and know what you're going through. The guy that put this event on has a daughter with Down Syndrome. Maybe you can work with your local MS community to organize something?
I'm mostly done with crawling too. I'm into adventure trips and finding neat places to explore for a week or long weekend. I still hit the local rock park every so often to see what my rig can do, so on a trip I can better gauge situations.
@@Berserkeroffroad went there the first time last Saturday, by myself, didn't crash or get to lost, avoided black trails, only got a cheapo 2.5" superlift and 35's, rubbed the back fenders a few times
Some great rigs getting it done for an awesome cause... excellent video!
Thank you! I'm glad to finally have it live.
Great place to go offroading and great cause 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Looks like a great day out "wheelin" for a worthy cause. Good on ya

It's interesting how one setup is never ideal for all trails, that variances in rigs make them more tuned for specific obstacles.
Weight distribution and lift height is a factor in climbing steep grades
Who's going to the Creepy Crawl 2016?! I'll be there!
looks like someone greased those rocks down with crisco!
I really like the look of the 2nd jeep, the white Rubi, course I don't have a Rubi, but I just want to have fun and I don't still have my square body

That's a good idea. I'll try that next time I'm wheeling.
That Jeep at 4:00 in the video looks like it's at stock ride height, is it? Looks really cool like that.
I'm not sure what his lift is but I agree that the LCOG look is awesome.

Rock crawling fails to attract me, mud baths and hill climbs are more fun
