I'm 49 years old, and I've gone through various phases of my life where I've had a clear #1 favorite band. In high school it was Van Halen, in college it was Rush, after college (and for much of my adult life) it was Dream Theater. For the last 4 years, these guys have been my absolute favorite band on the planet. It is fucking criminal that they aren't a worldwide arena act. I've seen them live 4 times, and they are THAT GOOD. They are uniquely positioned to carry on the classic metal sound of Maiden, Priest, and Queensryche, but it drives me fucking nuts that NOBODY KNOWS WHO THEY ARE! Gawd I hate the current music industry....
I'm living in Austria, and at least they made it into my living room and also some of my friends like them. So at least not NOBODY knows who they are. :P But i know what u mean, man.... They are much too underrated, for the talent they have.
Im 45 and couldn´t agree more. I´m a Iron Maidem, Dream Theater fan and I found in UTA the perfect prove that there can be NEW Metal bands that are as good as the old masters.
Absolutely phenomenal band. Saw them live and her voice is just as epic live. Andrew and Grant (the guitarists) are absolute powerhouses and Scott (drummer) is a legend. Check out "Cleanse the Bloodlines", "Abyss", and "Faster Than Light". All amazing songs.
Seen them right in their hometown of Vancouver back when their APEX album released. The intro to this song in particular has been my ringtone on my cell for 5 years. It's never changed.
One of my favorite bands! They originate from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. bout a 1.5 hr plane ride from where i am! i hope to see them live one day!
Saw them twice on their most recent tours here in the US, and they nail it every night. Brittney doesn't miss a note. Some other bangers to check out would be Soulbound and Test Your Metal. A good storytelling video is Cleanse the Bloodlines. Absolute epic songs are Apex and The Wind That Shapes the Land. Great songs with great videos are Abyss and Faster Than Light.
The video for 'Tonight we Ride' actually cuts out the bass solo the full song has. I highly recommend checking the full single. 'Cleanse the Bloodlines', 'Northwest Passage', and 'Wind that Shapes the Land' are also songs you need to check you. Truth be told, the full 'Apex' and 'Abyss' albums are top tier and need to be experienced.
They are amazing! Hope to see more reactions to their music 🙌🏻 Great reaction as always 👌🏻 You should next react to Northwest Passage or Time Stand Still 🔥
They're SO good! Best thing I did after discovering them was getting both Apex and Abyss on vinyl, a pair of concept albums that tells the story of The Immortal, and sitting down with some nice rum in one hand and the lyrics sheets in the other and listening to the entire thing start to end 😊
UTA is probably the best modern metal band in the world. Every member is exceptional with their respective instrument, and her voice "speaks" for itself :P. In my opinion anyways.. Check out anything from their newest album. Abyss, Faster than Light, Soulbound. ect. ect. Or perhaps their cover of Northwest Passage, an old Canadian folk song from Stan Rogers. You can never go wrong with UTA.
Brittney's voice is like a scalpel running through sailcloth. Depending on how she uses it , you can have slicing cleans or ripping grit... right up through D5 and beyond. And in her operatic voice (not heard on UTA other than maybe some subtle backing tracks) I'm not sure what her top end is. But it's her absolute mastery of the mezzo range that caches my ear.... its like having a third guitar in the band, such power. Great reaction... loved it when you finally realized that it wasn't going to slow down.... you just push back and let it wash over you. That's the way to listen to UTA, for me.
@@Duckfoot92 in her Brindisi-duet on the Lords of the Trident channel, I'm pretty sure she hits a B5 w/ease and grace. It's widely commented that she has a D6 in her arsenal... and that's a full voiced soprano operatic D6. Check Txb0GV9PGl4
UtA to-do list: 1. Legacy (2020) 2. Ten thousand against one (2017) 3. Apex (2017) 4. Abyss (2020) 5. Test your metal (2015) 6. Soulbound (2020) 7. General of the dark army (2011) 8. The Wind that shapes the land (2020) 9. Northwest passage (2019) 10. The Matriarch (2017) 11. Faster than Light (2020) To be continued... 😁 Greetz from Germany
Dude! You haven't even gotten into their newest album yet, Abyss! It won the Jeuno for best metal album in Canada. Faster than Light, Legacy, Soulbound, Abyss, you name it!!! They all melt faces!!
Love that you're on an Unleash the Archers train. You should check out "Cleanse the Bloodlines". It's my favorite by them and was pumped when played it at the first show I saw them.
So, I have a couple that I really think you would like. Off of the Apex album: Cleanse The Bloodlines and Apex. Then off of the Abyss album: Abyss, Soulbound, Faster Than Light, The Wind That Shapes The Land (my personal favorite and the band's favorite), Afterlife. Earlier stuff to possibly check out as well are Frozen Steel and Test Your Metal. Once you start Unleash The Archers, there is no stopping until at least Apex and Abyss have been listened to fully. Great reaction.
unleash the archers time stands still unleash the archers general of the dark army unleash the archers cleanse the bloodlines unleash the archers The Wind That Shapes The Land
Such a killer band! I love UTA. If you're a fan of this style, you should check out Beast in Black. Yannis is an animal and they're music is so groovy. Cheers mate!
Oh this band is great.. hard to find a song that is NOT worth reacting too .. but I would recommend Northwest passage, Soulbound, Faster than light, Abyss and my favorite off the newest album, Legacy
Btw you need to check out the video of her singing a Queensryche song at a Karaoke bar... Would NOT want to be the guy to go up to the mic following her performance 😅
IMMORTAL IS MORE THAN A NAME! TONIGHT WE RIDE Hold on to this moment for all time, this is the night we ride I hear them calling our name Raising the flag and fuelling the flame I'll find my destination; don't tell me where to go I won't give in this time, feel the power Not this time, scream it louder Voyage o'er the mountains and wastelands Far beyond the sea lies fortune No regrets, just live for the fight Renounce your precious lives and ride Take hold of your steel chariot; though ours is gone, lives on Rise to the challenge or fall Nothing will hinder our rise to the call We'll find our destination, can't tell us where to go We won't give in this time, feed the hunger Not this time, growing stronger Voyage o'er the mountains and wastelands Far beyond the sea lies fortune We'll find our destination; let's go! Voyage o'er the mountains and wastelands Far beyond the sea lies fortune Fly, redeem tonight Destroy, renounce your precious lives and ride Ride

The drummer earns his keep yet again....fabulous

I saw them too in Seattle absolutely amazing
Manowar: "We're the most EPIC metal band ever!"
Unleash The Archers: "Hold our beers..."
Seen them right in their hometown of Vancouver back when their APEX album released. The intro to this song in particular has been my ringtone on my cell for 5 years. It's never changed.
I saw them live in Seattle Washington October last year and they were incredible she's even more incredible live the notes in this song were wow

"Faster Than Light" Is a must reaction.. Awesome..
I fell in love with this band the 1st time I heard them. Love your reaction too. Rock on 🤘
About time you got around to this one. It shows her true vocal strength
It makes you want to mow the lawn with a pair of scissors is the best thing ever said about this band! 👌
Sounds about right for UTA. Crazy talented musicianship and the godly voice of Britney Slayes
The video for 'Tonight we Ride' actually cuts out the bass solo the full song has. I highly recommend checking the full single.

Can't go wrong with Unleash the Archers, really. Their version of Northwest Passage is a departure from this style, but very, very good.
Greatest Metal Vocalist IMO
Abyss. So much awesome. The video is fascinating.
Love that you're on an Unleash the Archers train. You should check out "Cleanse the Bloodlines". It's my favorite by them and was pumped when played it at the first show I saw them.
Just came from watching your reaction to awakening and I was like he needs to react to tonight we ride. So here I am lol

IMMORTAL IS MORE THAN A NAME!
TONIGHT WE RIDE
Hold on to this moment for all time, this is the night we ride
I hear them calling our name
Raising the flag and fuelling the flame
I'll find my destination; don't tell me where to go
I won't give in this time, feel the power
Not this time, scream it louder
Voyage o'er the mountains and wastelands
Far beyond the sea lies fortune
No regrets, just live for the fight
Renounce your precious lives and ride
Take hold of your steel chariot; though ours is gone, lives on
Rise to the challenge or fall
Nothing will hinder our rise to the call
We'll find our destination, can't tell us where to go
We won't give in this time, feed the hunger
Not this time, growing stronger
Voyage o'er the mountains and wastelands
Far beyond the sea lies fortune
We'll find our destination; let's go!
Voyage o'er the mountains and wastelands
Far beyond the sea lies fortune
Fly, redeem tonight
Destroy, renounce your precious lives and ride
Ride
