I feel like this sometimes. I'm always there for my friends and always listen to them vent and complain about their problems but don't get anything back. They don't ask what's happening in my life or what problems I have. It's tiring.
I can totally empathize. I have had friendships in the past in which phone calls consisted of me listening to them and then that's it, convo over till they need to vent again. Sometimes you can overcome it by being honest with them and sometimes you just outgrow people.
