Volkswagen's Atlas three-row SUV has previously undergone a facelift. It made its debut for the 2018 model year and underwent a minor redesign in 2021 to harmonize with the two-row Atlas Cross Sport, which made its debut for the 2020 model year. But this time, VW's designers have updated the biggest SUV in the lineup with a lot more vigor.
At the Chicago Motor Show, Volkswagen showcased the updated 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport. Both models gain from a refreshed exterior, an updated interior with additional equipment and higher-quality materials, and a more engaging 2.0 TSI engine with higher power and torque ratings, however, they lose the V6 option.
