Good morning, Barbara, I've been following you (subscribed) for a while. I always draw along with you.....many times, with the volume off while I draw in front of the TV while my husband watches TV. I always enjoy your concise explanations....especially so today with Y-Knot using the "Y" method. The Map Tangling is very intriguing for me. I will certainly look into that technique!!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful art with all of us! Great talent. -Angele 💝
Wow, thank you so much! I appreciate your kind comments. 🥰 This keeps me going and sharing and makes me so happy. I try to explain things to make it easy for you (and me) and I’m glad it helps. ❤️ Thanks for watching and drawing with me.
Hi Barbara, what a nice surprise to find another one of your videos here so soon! It turned out pretty nice for me. I've learned 3 new tangles today! Thank you! :)
Thank you for this and for all of your Inktober videos. I enjoy your calm style and how you explain everything so clearly. And…your tiles are just beautiful!
Hi Christine! I'm sorry but I don't. I cut out a square piece of cardstock for the size of the center "knot", then I turned it so that the corners pointed up & down. Then I outlined the square where I wanted it. Hopefully, that makes sense. If not, email me at notperfectzen@gmail.com and I'll send you a photo.
Barbara… BY GOLLY I GOT IT! I was able to draw the the horizontal-vertical Y-Knot. Yay😁! My first attempt was freehand and it didn’t workout. So I watched your video again and followed your instructions and used a smaller square (tile) for placement which helped me. I used a bijou tile as a placement guide. I set it on point on the horizontal and vertical lines. As matter of fact I traced the bijou tile very, very lightly and marked my placement dots. I then erased only the portion of the lightly traced lines on the right-side of the placement dots and followed the rest of steps to finish drawing Y-knot. In future and depending on the size of the Y-Knot I’ll probably pencil-in the smaller square. BTW…guess I am going to eraser jail! 😂😂😂
I just saw your email with the pencil drawing and you did great! I do the same thing - try to work things out in pencil, and then erase. So far, the Zentangle police have not come to my door! LOL! If you've watched other videos, you know I don't mind using an eraser. Thanks so much for sharing the photo and letting me know what you did. I'm really happy that you figured it out. Great job!! 😊
My pleasure! 😊 I'm very happy that you enjoyed the video and that it helped you draw the pattern. Yes, there is a lot that you can do with it. Have fun!
If you really don't like a pattern, just try something else. I've thrown away many frustrating tiles and vowed not to try a certain pattern again. Zentangle is for the Zen, not for stress. :)
Dear Barbara, I had so many difficulties drawing the Y-Knot, until I saw your video…. Thank you so much
Hi Rita! I'm very happy that this video was helpful to you. You're welcome! :)

Beautiful tangling there! 💕😍😍
Thank you very much! 😊
Wow those straight lines! I would need the help of a ruler!🤣
😊 I’m sure they are “not perfect” lines but thank you. ❤️ It was a fun tile.
Saw Malinda Barlow video and couldn't get it straight, but now with your 'Y' system I think I have it! Thanks
It's good to see that Melinda is doing videos again. It took me a while to figure this one out, so I'm glad my video helped you. :)
So pretty! 🇨🇦
Thank you! 😊❤️

Beautiful and inspiring. Do you have video on how you drew the horizontal - vertical Y-Knot?
