Best tutorial ever!
"A game of failure," what a great description! Pick yourself up and try again. I'm 61 and thinking hacky sack is a good way to help maintain my balance and remember where my feet are as I age. Thanks for the tutorial, I'm gonna start my session tomorrow with the knee hits!
Hacky sacks coming back, I’m trynna get good and hop on the wagon early
they’re blowing up at my uni haha!
It never left. Ultimate frisbee just distracted ppl
Thank you for the video, I just got my hacky sack 3 months ago with on and off practice but I just got serious about it last week. I love this sport so much
This dude seems like the chillest guy ever who just brings out the hacky sack at the perfect time lol, awesome vid, never did it barefoot
You know, the hacky sack has taught me to just keep trying and I’m gonna fail. But I’m also gonna succeed, thank you hacky sack man
My goal is to be good at this. Maybe the best. I´m 52 and I´m sure it´s good for my brain.
Man we played this in high school. It was very fun. Cheapest form of entertainment ever. After lunch while still on break, we'd go out to a piece of concrete and start eliminating the competition in the circle.
I've been searching for these, nice! My church Youth group plays this in our free time if someone has one to use, even if we dont know how to kick it or anything right, always fun
Ah I wish the youth would play with me at church! I can only get some of the 5-9 year old to play who have not the slightest clue lol but I carry it everywhere with me!
@@amandahurley3948 ah, I just got a job at a local pool so I'm hoping to make it semi popular again or atleast get some people to play hacky sack with me in the break room
@tron pig that's awesome, man! I kinda like to think I brought it back here in wellington. Kansas, lol, started taking it to NA meetings with me; tons of people would stay late and kick it every night. Now trying to reach the young ones at church so they know what it is at least! I'm rooting for ya to bring it back!
great, thank you so much for this hacky sack introduction! :)
I randomly thought of playing hacky sack in high school during lunch in the early 2000's. I just bought one and whew sort of a work out but fun.
Thank you for making this video
Great tutorial, will use as a reference for lesson plan!
"This is a game of failure. You are going to fail--WOW THAT was a big hawk! That was cool!"
Me: **hits the like button**
I went to buy a new bag at third planet today. they said as soon as they sell what they have left, they are discontinuing them because it's a dying fad :( so sad. I'm still teaching kids at church how to hack. They alwsys say, "how do you play with that?!" Haha
I am feeling and seeing a resurgence! This has been my most popular video over the past 3 months. Keep on kickin it and spreading the love!
@SMOOV man, I hope so!! Such an incredible hobby. Some of the best times I've had were cracking up in a circle of friends with a footbag! Especially just learning it. 🤣
Third planet in Bellingham? Dude that's where I'm from :)
This sport is NOT dead and will never die!
You have very wide feet/good sized feed for hacky sack. I have pretty small narrow feet but I will still master the game.
i like the motivation bro
does not matter. you play with flat shoes. don't need to practice barefooted. no one competes barefooted. you need a consistent surface when you start which means the same shoes
@@heytommyy Nah, I do it to be grounded with the earth.
@@heytommyy Bruh what’s a more consistent surface than your feet?
Thanks. Awesome vibe.
Thank you so very much for this video. Can you please tell me what's the ideal weight if a Hacky Sack?
It's my pleasure! Glad you found it valuable. I mostly stick to two bags, one is 60G filled with sand and the other is 70G filled with a combination of sand a plastic bead. Id say those weights are good to start with but there is a good deal of personal preference as well. I've got the 60G and 70G available for sale in the description of the video if those weights sound good to you! Thanks for the great question.
Nice. Getting started.
thank you for uploading
Im getting frustraded cause when i try the second Kick the Sack flys in every Direktion but never up in a straight Line to catch him. Some Tips anyone?
Visualiser it moving through the air in the direction as much detail as possible.
My dad told me about him and his homies playing back in the day, said he was the only one in the group that could do it barefoot and everyone else was weirded out by it😆
Barefoot is the best! Don't understand the hate on it. Your dad rules!
i would like to try this!
give it a go!
Thanks for training 🎉🎉😂😂😂
Hi smoov I am from Pakistan I made this hack sack
Ty!
isn't footbag a solo sport but if you add more people then its hackysack right so what is better to use if your doing it solo a hacky sack or footbag
Footbag / hacky sack = the same thing to me. I have the classic crochet "hacky sack" and the sandbag "footbags." I play with them both solo but prefer the sandbag.
@@smoovmoves Ok thank you I also agree with that I have only a crochet hacky sack and it sucks because i cant do any stalls or tricks with it
Footbags are called Hacky Sacks the same way "flying discs" are called Frisbees -- the innovating brand name became the generic term.
Freestyle footbag is the solo sport, there's also footbag net (kind of like volleyball) and the classic circle kicking. Try different bags and use whatever feels the best.
Who’s this Hank dude you mentioned? Like a life coach?
I mean, yes 😂 well said Justin! So many teachings from a tiny bag of sand
👍
