Well, things have to be made of something. The bag looks really pretty but if you look up ‘Vegan Leather’ it says its made of some form of manufacturing of plastic, meaning ‘Plastic’ whatever it is that’s being referred to as ‘Vegan’ or ‘faux Leather’. I like the bag look but to charge $100 or so for plastic, I can get that at my local Freds or Walmart for WAY less if I wanted a plastic bag. I like the material options of Lug though. :)
The satin luxe material actually feels really nice in other bags tho. I just think it was the structure of this bag making it feel too plasticky. Thanks for watching!
Great review! I didn’t get the wiffle because I am not crazy about the drawstring and buckle detail but I love the new satin lux! I got the Paddock tote in Pearl and love it! I ordered another paddock this week in Sapphire! It’s a gorgeous color
The sapphire is absolutely gorgeous, I agree. I'm loving the Paddock in the Pearl. I haven't gotten to use mine yet but I don't think it feels the same as the wiffle. I know that sounds weird. SO looks like we are twinning again with the Pearl Paddock🤣🤣🤣🤣 No big surprise there. Haha
Hi Amanda, I appreciate your honest review! I haven’t ordered anything in that new satin VL, because of exactly what you noticed in this video. It looked like a hard, plasticky material based on the various Luglife and LugLive videos I saw. Meanwhile, the matte luxe VL is growing on me, as long as I don’t consider it a vegan leather. It’s more like a fake fine corduroy material that is soft and comfy 😄
I love the description you chose " fake fine corduroy". Love it!!! I did however just get the Paddock and it does not feel the same as the Wiffle. I'm still trying to decide if I like this material. I know I didn't on the Waffle tho. Thanks so much for watching! Have a great upcoming week!
Hey, Girl! I thought about you yesterday. We went across the state line for the day so I packed up my Skyliner. 😂 We had a great family day out at a Fall festival. My favorite fabric from Lug is the Brushed fabrics. They seem to be just a tad thicker than the original nylon. I’m sorry, I know you love it, but the matte luxe feels like rubber to me. I’m still waiting to try something in the satin luxe. But, so far a lot of people are not impressed. But, I really like the look of the Wiffle and I’m not even a backpack person. I’m tempted. Oh that sounds like a wonderful family trip!! If you want to try the satin luxe have you thought about the Paddock? I know it's similar to the Skyliner but it's also not as pricey. I just don't like the price on the wiffle. It seems kind of high. Also after getting the paddock it doesn't seem like the material on it is as hard as the top flap on the waffle. If that makes sense. I got the paddock and surrey in sage. I do not think imo that this fabric is worth the price tag I like it ok but overpriced and yes I agree with the plasticy comment
I do agree with you abut the price on these products. I know this may sound weird but I think I like the material on the Paddock better than it on the Wiffle. Something about the way the flap is made makes it feel really hard but I don't find that on the Paddock. The sage is so pretty. I bet it looks really nice in real life. Hope you have a great week!
I do not own anything in the new satin fabrication, but one advantage would be if you’re caught in the rain wearing the Wiffle it would keep your items dry. I still prefer Lug items in regular or brushed fabrications.
That would be a benefit of the satin luxe material for sure. I am like you and I do like the brushed fabrication but I love the matte luxe. Do you like the matte luxe at all?

I have to say tho that I also picked up the Paddock to see if it would feel different than the Wiffle. I do like it on the paddock a little better. It seems crazy but I do know this is not my favorite fabrication. Do you not like the Vegan leather or the Matte Luxe? I completely agree that the backpack was way overpriced!! I actually sent mine back to QVC. I couldn't justify the price but I had to feel that material to see if I would like it.

So I have not yet purchased their Vegan Leather thinking it may be slightly heavy. I have a lot of their toiletry like Trolley, Jib, Parasail, Sleeper, ChooChoo and Bobsled and many of the pouches pouches. I also have Puddle Jumper and Drifter travel bags I like their Coupe and Roundabout 2 (I only wear crossbody bags). I have presented Sleeper to many of my family members and that is my favorite Brush case! Looking forward to their holiday collection.....I am sure they'll have many new items.

Love the colors of the new fabrication, but since the drawstring is not the color of the bag IMO cheapens the look of the bag.

I do like the matte luxe and so far it has held up perfectly but negative comments from others experiencing peeling has made me decide to avoid it.
