All the above and another very important reason to have a baby: you have a secure loving relationship with your spouse and you know you can give this baby the love and care it needs. (Also babies grow up to be smelly, emotional teenagers 😝 and we need to be able to love and care for them then, too.)

Trust me, my wife literally has depression now because of it and cries all the time about how she used to look and regrets getting pregnant. The eating food while you pregnant isn’t only a get to, it’s a have to. And if you’re breastfeeding? Oh man, it’s another level. I once had these incredible cookies someone made me that looked like chocolate chip but they were filled with all these grains that were good for a growing baby and nursing. After eating them my body was programmed from then on to devour chocolate chip cookies for the nutrients. I don’t even like them! I got a box of them from someone after that as a gift and I literally was not even behind the wheel. I like blacked out and ate half the box in 30 seconds and I was like, woah wait what just happened. And my husband was just sat there witnessing like 😳
A few cons: crying (A LOT), lack of sleep and peace for the parents, breaking anything on constant basis, high need for supervision, uneasy travel, will create lots of mess quickly and everywhere - all the time, constant need to be driven to doctor/school/hobbies/friends, nagging to get this and that without considering family budget, also actually needing diverse pricey items continuously, and puberty is even worse than all the previously mentioned points. PS: One kid is manageable and nice, stop there, resist the urge.

But on the bright side, since that kid is growing up with a competitive gamer dad, that kid is probably going to be real competitive as well, or really resilient. Steel tempers steel.
Babies are adorable but you have to be committed and ready to work hard at teaching a little human to be a human in this world. Also you have to be ready to put this little human ahead of your own needs, sounds easy but think about hard days, days you just don't want to get up or do anything, you have to every single day for the sake of the child. I'm not saying they aren't great and adorable but that's my biggest fear is that I won't be good enough because I still struggle just by myself, we still struggle as a couple, maybe if the world was like it used to be and owning a house was more affordable or maybe if we were being paid what we actually deserve. Or if gas wasn't just as ridiculous as the housing Market. Perhaps if groceries weren't also soaring...I don't know maybe we would have a couple of children right now. Not saying it won't happen just saying it will be a struggle when we do.

Its simple really. Just keep flooding Jack with baby videos and pictures for him to see until he gives in. You can even merge your baby photos and show him how adorable your children will look. Whenever you pass by some baby clothes, show him how cute they would look on your baby. If those don't work, tell him its for health reasons because you're not getting any younger!
Children can be a blessing. There is no doubt about that. However, what most people don't tell you is what will be required of you. Like most things these days, babies can be very expensive. Diapers, baby food, and so much more. The child will have to rely on you two as parents, and it will sometimes cause conflict with who's doing the parenting. Creating new life is not something that should be toyed with, and I am confident you two will be good parents. My best advice is to not rush into it. Also, have faith in yourselves and each other, and may the wind be at your backs.
