I think it would have been cooler if the characters wore their original attire and their karts would represent something you would imagine them driving from their world rather than typical race cars.
Car, not kart. Also, debatable, going the extra mile is always a good thing, it gives you more creative freedom that just make them all dress in a single way.

I wasn’t expecting much but I didn’t think 20 bucks was a terrible deal to try out an Arcade Racer, haven’t played one in years, and gotta say, I’m pretty hooked. Game was great, powers feel good and the ability to change the dynamic of your pick-up powers or your personal power by throwing forward, backwards, or charging it, had me very focused while driving. My only gripe is I’m not sure how to look behind me, I’m just slinging stuff blindly lol. I cant wait to play more, and I enjoy the grind so…sucks for those that don’t. I play Dead by Daylight too, the grind never dies haha!
Beta is paid for those who wanna support the developers early and help fine-tune mechanics and features. It's gonna be free sometime in the future when it's out of beta/early access
@SaltyToad00 Personally I don't pay to do early access since, like you said, buggy and unfinished. Though if it's for a genre I REALLY like, has a banger soundtrack, and a vibrant art style, I would consider it. Since those are what I look for in games Disney Speedstorm doesn't scratch any of them for me, so I wanna wait for the free version to give it a shot :)
@@HarvestHollows I judge games on three things: the controls/gameplay mechanics, the soundtrack, and the graphics. Graphics aren't as important to me as the other two are though, and I would say a game is bad if it has bad controls or a bad soundtrack before I would say it is bad because it has poor graphics (although I do find it weird that the DS and 3DS have _very_ bipolar graphics cards)
it just feels like mario kart trying to be extra the problem is i feel like mario kart has to recognizable of a history so kart racing games cant really stick out just spit balling for laughs but how would people feel about taking the items away and you can fight on the race track with ability's you can spam that can resemble the characters you play as and instead of racing its more of a death match you have a health bar 1life and you have a time limit to get to the next checkpoint but it goes endlessly till your the last one
Then you're gonna be light-years behind everyone else competitively and won't stand a chance in multi-player. Good luck with that lol 😆. I grinded 10 hours yesterday to level up my racers and it's already super sweaty

There's 18 character so far: Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Mulan, Li Shang, Belle, Beast, Mowgli, Baloo, Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann, Hercules, Meg, Figment, Mike Wazowski, Sulley, Celia Mae, Randall This season is Monsters Inc so they added 4 Monsters Inc characters. They'll add 4 season-related characters each season and more mid-season that are unrelated to that current season. The next 2 seasons are Toy Story and Lilo & Stitch
