I think for me the major concern is the battery reliability of the RS. I understand that there is 8 years of warranty from Honda, but what does the warranty covers? Is it really reliable?
The AWD is obviously going to offer more grip in all conditions. But it is also heavier. So the RS is obviously more efficient. But in terms of handling, the AWD is better suited for all conditions.
@@PistonMalaysia Yes and I was torn between choosing the turbo's 2WD and AWD. The AWD's 0-100kph is listed as 10.4 sec. The 2WD's 9.8 sec is a closer to the Hybrid's 9 sec. I am still wondering, if I stay on sealed roads, does the AWD makes any difference in cornerning?
@@hhkong2339- You will only feel the difference if you are really going for it in the corners. But the safety it provides in slippery conditions such as the torrential Malaysian rains is undeniable.
The left lane watch camera display is poor quality in the eHev RS. The wireless charger needs sweet spot adjustment for iPhone charging most of the time. It is sad to see that this is happening to a top marque. Honda should do a recall.
The lane watch camera is undoubtedly poor. But that is how it has been for quite some time. Honda wont recall the car for that but we are told they are working on improvements.
Have the 2WD turbo and briefly test driven the 2WD Hybrid. On highway above legal limit, the turbo seems to have better pulling power. Other than that, the Hybrid is better.
If i understood you correctly, in a nutshell the 2.0L engine powers the battery, which in return provides the juice to the electric motor to propel the car?
@@beckhamnov- If it is for you alone then yes, absolutely, though the CRV has been NVH levels. But if you have a family or carry people frequently, the CRV would be better since it bigger and comfortable.
The writer haven’t said about spare tyre for the RS model. The RS no spare tyre compare to V spec. In malaysia anything can happen to your tyres. If tyres burst it cannot be repaired by repair tyre kit.

Booked on January, test drive the RS version on February. Picking up the car today! Cant wait. The Red RS CRV ❤
Congratulations

One is 2WD and the other AWD. Would love to hear your views on their driving dynamic like stability and cornering etc. Thanks

How bout the battery performance in ehev? The warranty?

Hoping HM will include ventilated seats in the facelift.
Agreed 100% .. That would be nice.
This might help. My new CRV's air cond can go down to 3C, a very pleasant surprise. What I miss is the BSM and 360camera on the S and E spec.
@@hhkong2339 ... Wow 3C? That's amazing.
Easy answer: whichever 0:16 one has the spare tire 😅🤣😂
Can’t drive both cars. HM is only offering the RS for test drives ☹️
Oh okay ... Some dealers might have pre-registered units ...

In a nutshell, yes.
Wish Honda Malaysia sell CRV hybrid AWD. Waiting for that.
Doubt that will make it here anytime soon
How does the CRV EHEV NVH and comfort compare to Mazda CX5 2.5 FWD?
Having just driven the new CX-5 2.5 FWD, I would say the e:HEV has better NVH levels.

Yes, if it bursts a full sizes tyre is better.
