You should make the bunnies a outside area like chickens ,have separate the males from females, I have 5 bunnies now ,they love to chew wires, you believe the spaces the can get into ,carrots are treat, the can have greens and not every green ,so what I do I will google everything I give before it’s,corn is big no no
Do you have prediters? We have them from all directions. We built a zoo sized bird cage for our chickens. I was thinking about the same thing for rabbits. But we are not there yet. I just started watching you. Your great
Good job my friend! Another sweat build. The farm stay is sure going to give your guest a nice place to visit. Thanks for sharing. Becky from Kansas City
This is a very special project to watch going up. These panda bunnies are going to be fun to follow as they grow up and play in the great outdoors 👍🐰🐰. Sending hugs your way guys!
😂 What a way to start my day ! You're hilarious Chad and those rabbits look well fed ! I've tried rescuing a few new borns because there's so much predatory wildlife around the property. Did the whole baby bottle thing, kept them warm then put them back hoping mama would return. My dachshund got one and hurt it pretty bad so I dropped him off at animal emergency and they euthanized him humanely. My Great Pry is very gentle and protective with them however. Wonderful craftsmanship, well done !!!
You are such a wonderful host! Your rabbits are so cute, and Molly is a star :) A decorative bunny lives with me in the apartment and I would like such an aviary for him:) Erica from Ukraine🤗
That's amazing, Thank u for saying that. Bunnies are very sweet and the babies grow so fast, they already have a bit of white fuzzy hair. Cheers, Chad & the gang.
She’s with her babies. It’s almost fall time here not too hot in there plus I’ll have their 16 foot protected run built soon. These rabbits will live better lives than most.
Nice bunny barn, are you a carpenter? I've been thinking about getting a rabbit (my favorite pet) this just took me over the top! Great video! Why didn't you do a doggy/cat door for the rabbits.
Not a carpenter just a hobbyist. I did install small doors which will give the rabbits access to the run once it’s built. If it ends up being too cold in there I’ll consider cats fours but I feel rabbits like the cold and don’t think it’ll be an issue.
The barn itself is 11’x14’. The height Its 6.5’ on the low end and 8’ on the high end. The rabbitat area is 16’x14’. But really you can make it a size that suits you. I’m a tall guy so I always build high enough so I don’t bang my head.
need help! i have some geese and im trying to introduce goslings to them. I put them in a run for 3 days were they can see each other. the geese are very interested! but im not sure they have good intentions. i put one of the goslings in with them and the geese seemed rough to me. not sure if that is normal motherly or mean??? What do you think? any one have help for me, i introduced them 3 times and the geese peck, and sit on them, and are rough.
Gotta wait till the goslings are bigger so they won’t get injured. Once they are much bigger and introduced you will see them fight as they determine who’s the top gander boss. Just keep an eye on them.
The dogs really do have a protective nature. But of course I trained them that way to lessen the risk and always expose them to babies. The Mum built that nest under the hide box, she did a good job too eh. They’re all doing well in the new house.
Chad, I noticed on one of the closeups that mama bunny's left eye hair was very wet. What is that from. I love what you are doing with making all the animal's living quarters comfy.
I noticed that too, right after the birth. Not sure what’s up or if I should be worried, I just figured she was scratching her eye a lot. I’m keeping an “eye” on it.
Had to watch this one over, its do cute 😍 Dexter with his green eyes is the perfect Halloween 🎃 kitty plus Olive and Molly are just as precious as ever. Mama rabbit looks might big, she done growing ?
I think I might be feeding the rabbits too much. They're getting pretty plump. Hard though in a colony, in a cage you can control the food. Maybe I just don't need to put so much so they will be hungry by morning. Yeah Dexter is pretty awesome.
Best to keep the dog away as rabbits are a prey animal and the mother will get undulystressed.they are known to eat their babies. I once had a big californian doe that attacked people with her teeth and claws . had to hold a dustbin lid up as a shield
That’s good to know, thanks. From pups I’ve always introduced them to all the baby animals under supervision and a lot of training. In this video one of the does punched Olive and they’ve never done that before, this was right after I moved the rabbits to a temporary pen. You’re definitely right about added stress. Soon I have to move them to their new barn I’ll give them some time to get used to the new space before they see the dogs again.
What a beautiful life to live! I love that the bunnies have space and aren’t on wire.
Thanks for sharing your farm "life" with us. BeccaBoo says it best.
Looks great!
Olive doing zoomies is fun to see.
Right!!!

Thank you so much 😊
There you go and you did not even have to teach them how multiply 🤣🤣🤣 Well done 👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing. Be safe 🇨🇦
😁 Yup she did great, no casualties.
Your vids are an inspiration! 👏
Aww thanks 😊
The bunny barn is wonderful
Yeah thanks, it’s proving to be very practical too.
It's not just bothering the kits that you have to worry about. Rabbits can get pregnant within a day of giving birth.

I love all your little houses. Your animals must get lots of love.
Yes all our critters live great lives. Thank you so much.

Very nice!

They’re growing so fast too. They have white fuzz now and they’re hopping around
Wow, baby bunnies
Yup very cute and they all survived the first few days too so we’re happy about that.

Chad, watch those barrel bolt locks, Racoons 🦝can open them with there little paws.
Yup I put small carabiners on
Poor rabbit locked in heated barn

@@HiddenSpringFarm Just bought 3 rabbits 🐇🐰🐇after watching your video.😎
Good job but look at volume of ventilation. May be remove the plexus window.
I built the barn with soffit venting. Hopefully that’ll be enough but the rabbits will have access to their run once it’s built.
Would you tell me the dimensions of your bunny barn! I have watched both of your videos & am interested in recreating for our bunny!

Molly and Olive are so sweet and gentle with the babies 🥰 Did the mama bunny build that nest for them? Or did you do it? Another great build!

Just found your videos. Lovely set up for all your animals. Question, are the rabbits strictly pets? Or will they eventually be processed?
We’re trying to create a farm stay environment here so at this point we’re keeping rabbits for their manure and for enjoyment of the quests.
I thought mama rabit ate their young if you touched them.
No I haven’t experienced that at all.
