I watch a lot of concert videos, but yours are always my favorite! You always have great sound and great video. Normally, when I watch a concert video, it's not very good video and sound quality, but yours are amazing! Keep up the good work :)
Dude you are so fucking lucky!! You got awesome seats to this concert AND you got to go to 3 DIFFERENT FOB CONCERTS!! Plus, you even got to take a picture with Patrick. Meanwhile i'm at home sobbing because I'm too young & too poor to go to their shows and it'll probably be too late for me by the time I can get my shit together to go to one... :( One more thing, nice job filming the show, it's really good quality and the sound is also really good!! ^_^
TheRealConcertKing fan of all your work, really gives you that "at the show"feel without sacrificing the sound for the most part. Always wanted to know 2 things. 1) do you have credentials or just get there FUCKING early bc you always have ahold of a place in the sweet spot in the venue (I know you know what I mean) and 2) and I guess this depends on the answer to question 1, but do you ever get fucked with by venue security or the band for recording with what looks to be more professional than a phone. Thanks again!
I've only had a photo pass like twice, I rarely encounter any problems anymore. I used to have more issues at venues, especially HOB and Live Nation venues, but since everyone (regrettably) uses their phones at shows now, they just kind of gave up and don't really care about people with cameras. There are a few venues that occasionally enforce no video rules, but I usually still manage to not get bothered. The biggest issue I've ever had was getting kicked out of HOB LA at The Pretty Reckless show. Long story short, the venue security was on a power trip but kept bullshitting me and telling me to put my camera away saying it was the band's rule, and when I told them that I know the band and I know they don't have that rule, they stuck to their bullshit story so I flipped them off and they yanked me out. I told the story to the people at HOB SD and they said I should have reported them to the venue management but I didn't know their names. As for the bands, the only artist I've ever had an issue with was Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson, Steven is strictly anti-photography for his shows. I believe it's because he wants to maintain a certain atmosphere and wants everyone to be paying attention instead of looking through their phone screens. It's not as much about being recorded, like some other artists, since he has numerous DVD/Blu-Ray releases. Other than that, it's pretty smooth. A lot of bands/artists are fans of my videos now, and some even ask me if I got anything after a show. Some have even told me they've watched my videos of their performances for reference on how to play certain stuff. Occasionally, artists will even share my videos on social media or use them to promote a tour. Almost every venue now will let you bring in a non-detachable lens camera. As for my spots, sometimes I do get there REALLY early. For instance, at this FOB show, I got there about 4-5 hours before doors opened because I knew the line was going to be insane (which it was). I had to leave SD pretty early that day, haha. I don't usually get places that early, I try to estimate the crowd level and adjust accordingly. For the most part, people don't usually go straight to the spots I want when they go in, they all go to the front so I don't have too much competition as long as I get there around when doors open. I usually have go-to spots for the venues I've been to before, if you look at all of my Wiltern videos, they're pretty much all in the same exact place for the most part. Thank you for the compliment, I'm glad you enjoy watching my videos, it's crazy that so many people have gotten into something that I just started doing for myself.
it seems the tone of this song is set to be lower than its original version in his performances.i would like to listen to this song live in original tone

great
I think that's because all the drums were programmed on this album. Simplicity was key.
