Excellent !! Thanks for the support ! 1. Honestly, you’ll get a bit better buffet experience at the RIU palace hotels, but there is plenty on offer at the RIU Playacar. You’ll have lots of options. 2. Yes. Staying at Playacar, you’ll have access to the pools and lunch buffets at tequila and yucatan. You won’t have access to the palaces as they’re the tier above the hotels. Hope that helps !
It looks as though there is a door to the shower, is this correct? I was reading down below and someone mentioned no door to shower. Can you clarify please. Thank you

There is a door to the shower, but not to the bathroom area.
