- A video covering almost all the aspects on how to prepare for ca intermediate from a student's perspective.
I know its a bit lengthy but tried to include all the points as far as I remembered.
If you have any questions, feel free to comment in the comment section down below! Will try to answer asap.
This video was made prior to my results. But I'm glad that I passed both the groups with exemption in 4 subjects.

Thanks bro. Your Alternate days strategy helped me a lot otherwise i would have never started with theory subjects like EISSM or Audit. I cleared CA inter with 7 exemptions
Many many congratulations to you brother. All the very best for your CA Final journey. :)
Nice motivation bro very good also we are become ca bro
Thnkyou ..i will defintly try your plan for both the groups
hope it helps! 😊
You explained very well
thank you so much! :)
Thank you bhaiya 👍👍
✌🏻 :) anytime!
thank u aditya
Hello bro thanks so much
Bro I have a question till August 15 ,law, cost is revised fr the first time ,eis 15 clss , advance accounts 20 clss is left ,shall I appear for both group in November 2K20
what about the rest of the subjects?
@@AdityaSonthalia rest tutions r completed ,audit I HV given a thorough reading ,so shall I fill form for both groups
have you done any revision for rest of the subjects apart from audit?
coz if you have done the rest, I would suggest to do adv accs and Eis 2 classes each per day. That would take approx 9 days to complete all the classes. Then you need to give atleast 14 hrs daily if you want to achieve good marks as you will have only 2.5 months left.
Plan strategically and go for selective revision of topics. Solve all the mock test and RTPs of the past 3 yrs including the current one. It will take effort and discipline. But it's possible.
@@AdityaSonthalia ok and if I fill exam form for group 1 in Nov ,and appear for group 2 in May 2k21 ,whether 2 attempt will b counted??
How much time is generally needed for direct tax syllabus ? Like for studying it for the first time if I do it continuously?
well that depends upon person to person. It requires memorising and a lot of practise. But don't go for doing taxation in a go full fledged. Take multiple subjects in a day as per your capacity and make a time table. Don't leave any subject behind as you will then tend to forget things.
Aditya Sonthalia okay thanks! Can you please suggest some good guide or reference book for direct tax? And how to approach this subject?
@@M.23451 First lets talk about the approach. Tax is something which requires frequent revision and more practice of sums due to more provisions. First start with the heads of income as it is the base of direct tax. After the completion, almost 60% of your direct tax syllabus is covered. Then you may approach for computation of income tax for different persons. Advance tax, rebate, other deductions, clubbing, etc. Then you may start with various deductions, chapter VI A, TDS, TCS. And then finally with the penalties, annual return and residuals. Make charts for provisions, tax rate for TDS/TCS/Various persons which are important and stick it in front of your study desk as it will help you to revise quickly.
Secondly talking about guide/ reference book, I studied through the book provided by Vivek Soni Sir. (he is a teacher in Kolkata). So don't have any experience regarding which guide or reference book to follow. But the main thing is to learn the provisions which can be found anywhere. Just make charts and learn them. Illustrations can be found in the icai book itself which is of beginner type. (those type of questions are pretty easy and less likely to come in the exam but it may provide a base).
Third and last- once you completed learning, visit the icai website and practice all the previous question papers and mock test papers as you get to understand the pattern of the question paper and those are the level of questions you will face in the exam. Questions do come a bit tricky but practicing those will help maturing your solving skills to a good extent.
Hope that helps! :)
Sir i m preparing for may 20 bt abhi tk mene coaching strt ni kr payi h is it possible ki me both group ko cover kr paungi 7 months me. Plzz sir reply ...plzz plzz
yaar please sir mat bulao. i'm just around your age only. Anyways...look 7 months is enough to clear both the groups. But since tumne coaching abhi tak start nahi kiya hai toh coaching ke saath saath hi tumko harr dinn aache se padhna hoga. The best solution would be pendrive which will provide you flexibility.(except kuch teachers ka agar pendrive nahi hai jiska tumhe padhna hai and agar tumhara time management ho raha hai toh). Harr dinn 12/14 ghante aache se dedication ke saath padhne se aaram se dono group clear hoga. Don't say nahi hoga. Padho aache se, without any distractions, take minor breaks in between for refreshing yourself and you'll definitely pass with flying colours! Hope it helps! 😊
being a direct entry student...before how many months should I start my coaching for both groups
depends that which subjects are you taking for tuitions. You should start the coaching in the earliest. I myself took tuitions for 5 simultaneously.
@@AdityaSonthalia 5???
Butter fly yes
Can I get some suggestion on remembering tax sections
here are some tips:
1. Don't go for learning all the sections. It's not required.
2. Remember just the most imp ones like finance act 2014 for CG, 50C, Presumptive TS, 54'?' etc
3. For TDS/TCS make a chart for the section number, rate and applicability in short and go through them for half an hour every day.
Hope this helps. :)
I decided to do both group with self study and with help of u tube,
Can u guide me how to start, and which channels on u tube are providing lectures,
I can't afford coaching.
The best thing would be to stick with the icai material then. Read it thoroughly and practice the examples given there. If you get stuck somewhere....there are plenty of videos on youtube to follow. Its not like you have to follow any particular channel as complete lectures of all the topics are not uploaded by a single person. Also, you may consult your friends who are also pursuing ca to help you if you have any doubt. :)
@@AdityaSonthalia is my decision is right to do self study for both group for first attempt?
vaibhav Munot well honestly it depends upon your capability. If you are well confident that you'll manage then what's the problem?
@@AdityaSonthalia yes because I cleared foundation without coaching in first attempt
vaibhav Munot that's great and i don't want to demotivate you by saying this but practically there's a huge difference in studying for foundation and intermediate.
where do I get practice manuals for may2020
You should purchase book from other than icai material for practice.
Thanks Its helpful..
How you prepare for law?
for theory subjects, the only solution is understanding, learning and thorough revision. Make points for important keywords and looking at case studies....etc.
I have completed my IDT ( except e-way bill)
Cost is done (upto overheads)
Nd nothing else....going to appear for may 20 ...will it be fine to give both grp together??
so you completed just half of 2 subjects out of 8?
@@AdityaSonthalia yes ...but the thing is m actually not that gud in accountancy... Have done 3 very first chapters of accountancy as well but m not that confident in this particular subject
for confidence the only solution is more and more practice. You may refer to parveen sir's notes. It will increase your confidence. accountancy is not that difficult. The core subject of a CA is about accountancy. so make sure not to neglect it.
@@AdityaSonthalia JINDAL OR SHARMA SIR??... (M actually doing Jindal sir's classes)
ooh i was talking about sharma sir. anyways if you are following one teacher then don't change it. try solving basic problems which will increase your confidence and then slowly increase the level of difficulty of questions. It will help. :)
I'm from direct route and going to give my inter exams for Nov,21... As per rules you have to complete 9 months articleship before inter unlike foundation students.... As doing articleship with tuitns of 8 subs are very much difficult ... I started law and audit from now ... Will syllabus change that much that this learning will not be effective for nov.2021 attempt 🙂plz I need suggestion badly
yes it is difficult initially but you'll get used to it...... the syllabus of law and audit changes frequently due to amendments and hence is generally not recommended to do at first. Amendments may be less or more. But since you have already taken up the subjects, i would say.... just stay updated with the amendments after every term and post these 2 subjects, take up tuitions for practical. And definitely think for joining tax tuitions at the end.
Thanks very much ..and I also being from Calcutta have already decided the teachers you said except for law and audit..... As my b.com final year is going I have basic concepts on practical subjects but I'm am weakest at theory ..so I joined it first ...again thanks I'll stay updated ...
anuska banerjee i personally felt siddhart sir was perfect for theory subjects hence mentioned the same but if someone else suits you then it's fine. :) Also i would recommend you to take Financial management and economics from sanjay saraf sir and not ranjan sir as I have studied from both of them ( I have studied CA final SFM and currently studying CFA from Sanjay Sir) and I must tell you there is no comparison. Sanjay Sir is undoubtedly king of finance. For Cost you may go for Ranjan sir or MRD sir.
Yeah I also like Sanjay sir a lot..I follow him on UA-cam as I'm also inclined towards cfa also... I haven't took my remaining classes yet .. yes then I'll surely take classes from him ... And I'm currently taking law and audit classes from Mohit sir
Brother in 3 months... Of time limit... Can I PREPARE for CA INTER both groups.. (almost including 1st time reading) .....
Is it a risky..for preparing both groups for 1st time readers in 3 months of time.... Or else it is possible...include 1st time reading with revisions
first time reading as in are you fully unknown to the subjects? Also had'nt you taken any tuitions?
Is 2 month is sufficient for preparing group 2 also managing with regular college ?
Girish Pandey Well it depends upon your caliber as then you'll have to spend almost 10 hrs per day regularly if you want to score good marks. (If only your 2nd grp is left)
accts is easy.
fm and eco is easy.
EISSM is a bit of work plus mcqs
audit is something you shouldn't underestimate much as in mcqs ICAI can pick any line from their mat in setting up mcqs and also studying audit properly will help you much in practical audit experience.
I am a average Student I'm thinking for direct entry so kya mai Third year me articleship start kr skti hu kya? N kya CA mujhse hoga? Please tellme
if you are thinking of direct entry, you must complete atleast 9 months of articleship before giving the intermediate exam and not before that.
And never underestimate your capabilities. Never even think that you can't do something. CA is all about studying strategically and a lot of hard work. But apart from this, you need to first ask yourself that whether you enjoy accounting, auditing or taxation because giving 5 years to a course is not a joke. Pursue that which interests you. :)
Hello bro...
Just a small query...
Can practice manual be helpful for Ca inter new syllabus
it's all about practice. Practising more and more will help you in polishing your memory and get to know about the nature of questions.
Hey...
Notes prepare karna is beneficial for which subjects... Or for all?
i would say for all because it will help a lot during revision
Short notes Or proper full notes?
Amit Handa short important notes
@@AdityaSonthalia thanks a lot buddy😁
Hi... It was quit helpful ...btw did you clear?
Samiksha f Thank you! :)
Yes I did clear them in 1st attempt with exemption in 4 subjects.
I have a attempt in nov 19 ..gst m
Although i know basic but dont know how to prepare, from where to start 😢...
next month? only gst left?
Can u help make my time table
Thank you...... please ca intermediate....2019 ke leye.theory subject kitne bar revise kare
theory ek aisa cheez hai jo harr samey revise karte rehna chahiye. there is no limit since theory mein bhulne ka darr rehta hai
@@AdityaSonthalia ok....thank u😄
Hello bro
I'm planning to take pendrive classes for CA intermediate of both groups .
I'm from village .
Pls help me
you can go for pendrive classes but it requires determination as one feels quite reluctant to complete the course. Choose the teacher who sets you best as not all teachers provide pendrive classes. All the best! :)
Pendrive classes -faculty
Accounts and adv accounts -anand bhangarya sir
Cost -harshad jaju
Law -ankita patni
Tax- Neeraj Arora sir
Eis and sm & FM and eco -swapnil patni
Audit -harshad jaju
pls anyone translate me what he's telling?
But now practice manual are not given by icai
then use the previously issued manuals and other current materials.
this CA course only for North Indians?
@Apoorv sharma oh really? Then why every video lectures take CA, CMA classes in Hindi? Why? North Indians are jealous on South Indian improvement?
@Apoorv sharma is this your imaginery survey or fake one? They taking lectures using CA book in English version, Not Hindi version. If it's so, why don't they study and write CA exams in Hindi? Our national Language has optional Hindi and English. If you choose professional course it's mandatory to speak and write in English! Don't you Know that? What ??? most people don't know even English? Don't try to blindly speak back against my words. My words are truth. I pretty damn sure North Indians speak English well than south Indians. So don't make me fool.
@Apoorv sharma is that law asked to speak Hindi. Our national language also English. Why do we ?... Our Tamil language is proved that it is the oldest language in the Earth. Then Tamil is our national language. Then why don't you study Tamil? Even PM these days trying to speak in Tamil, and studying Tamil too hard. Ask your Hindi people to speak tamil
@Apoorv sharma at least you can consider remaining percentage , right? You can also use English subtitles. Is that a big deal to CA?
@Apoorv sharma it's unbelievable...so far I Know North Indians speak English well even uneducated ppl from North Indians too understand English, right?
Coaching kha se le
it actually depends upon your city of residence. Online classes bhi hai but agar koi local mein aacha teacher hai toh usse lelo.
Bhai aapka clear hua kya
haan hua na. 4 subjects mein exemption bhi aaya
