Hello people, just wanted to come back here to briefly mention that I don't associate with Studio G anymore, for a variety of reasons, and I no longer recommend his products. I still think the modelling and editing work in this video are worth keeping public though!
Great looking paint shkɘɘm! Also, Joel's reaction is burnt into my mind forever
Thank you very much! Joel is pleased to hear this news ~
Love the repainted Wing. It looks like an angry Wasp.
yes it looks quite fierce!
thanks for the review
Love the scratch test. That salad looks tasty
It just needs some forbidden sprinkles and paint thinner dressing!
How does G paint hold up compared to Vallejo model air paint?
GPaint is a lot stronger than vallejo air! You just have to take extra caution with the lacquer fumes
smooooooth!! I have not used g-paint before, but perhaps someday!
Thanks, I hope to be able to provide a code someday!
So THAT's what you were doing with the salad bowl...
Arguagbly it's the best silly remark for testing scratch resistance I've seen for a while...
It’d be great to have an awesome girlfriend to build and paint gunpla with.
Wow you weren't joking new G paint
I can't wait to see you thoughts
I subbed immediately after that scratch test. Hilarious
Goobs should be proud of that scratch test.
Hey! That's like the inverse of my Bumblebee Justice! That wing looks so awesome!!!
Yeah exactly, that's why your video is a good compliment to mine!
@@MMMayhem Iove it dude! It came out amazing!
BEE GUNDAM
Great color choices 👍
Thanks for the great review
I am very happy I have found your channel
Welcome to the hobby content zone!
Why did the words "panel lining" cause me to blush and get all hot and bothered?
Because nothing beats the feeling of that enamel formula running into the recesses like that
I might have to look into that GPaint. A local shop carries it, and it's also kind of nice that it's just a few bottles to worry about. Biggest worry though is if my booth can exhaust it fast enough...
yes I agree, and I am careful with the fumes and ventilate the room as much as possible!
Questions!
Firstly, what's the drying time while it's in the cup? I usually use acrylics, Vallejo model air to be specific, and I've been encountering issues where it dries in the airbrush while I'm in the middle of using it. Quite annoying, and it means I have to waste time cleaning out clogs.
Second, how do you clean it out? I normally use lacquer thinner from the hardware store to clean out my acrylics, but it reacts badly with my whites and silvers, turning them into gooey messes that take ages to clean. I've been thinking of switching over to just water, but if I can use lacquer thinner that would save me a step.
I didn't have any issues with it drying in the cup while I was airbrushing, and I haven't run into that problem with acrylics (aside from the usual dry tip) so not sure what's going on there...
I use laquer thinner to clean when I'm working with GPaint, if im using acrylics I use airbrush cleaner
@@MMMayhem it's probably the dry tip. Didn't know how to articulate it very well, thank you! I'll probably order the starter set and see where it goes.
Good luck and have fun!
I’m thinking of one day but this but as a complete newbie to the hobby I wanna first do paint brush but I don’t know if this set can be used with pain brushes
These paints are designed for airbrushing... You can hand paint it, but depending on the climate where you live, you will need retarder. If you're a beginner and are going to try hand-painting I would recommend acrylic paints to start; Gpaints are a good place to start if you're airbrushing.
@@MMMayhem i see got it thank you very much!
Nice video man! those paints are super interesting.
They sure are, thanks for your support!
How bad are the fumes, smell when using these?
Same as regular lacquer paints, They are bad enough that I air out the room thoughouly for at least 1 hour before spending time in there without a respirator (I also have a spray booth(
Man, your masking was so good on this kit!
Great color scheme, Blue!
Glad you liked it, thanks!
Thank you
LIKE ANNIHILATED! Awesome review! I almost died when I saw the stabbings but what a pleasant surprise when no scratches! Super fun and enjoyable to watch, as usual!
Sorry to startle you with the stabbing lol! It's very durable ;)
Awesome review, I think this is the first time i've watched someone review something and actually be jealous lol Ill have to buy it sooner than I thought. Love the humor as always!
lmao thanks for your support as always man!
Never tried this brand before but it looks like it could be a good one
it works very well on gunpla ;)
Nice and informative video! You and your gf did a great job! Looking forward to using my GPaint V2 this coming week! 😁
Looking forward to seeing you spray the grandpa!
@@MMMayhem what’s a grandpa?🤔
The MG RX-78-2?
@@MMMayhem what’s that?
I thought that's what you were gonna use your v2 gpaint on lol
I like the idea of an all-in-one paint, but i'm not into airbrushing enamels, due to my setup, and the fumes actually being toxic to life in general. However, that dark iron color is interesting - is there anything comparable to it in any of the acrylic paint lines, that you've been able to draw a comparison to?
There isn't anything that comes to mind for me that's comparable, mostly because lacquer is a lot more durable in general. The fumes/toxicity is definitely a huge downside and barrier though, and I still primarily use acrylic for my work; especially since it's a lot easier to use with handpainting
Making mistakes is how you learn. I really love your disassemble edits lol.
You said it! Glad you appreciate the fun edits ;)
2:39 must owe kyle money.
lol
My set is on its way and I can't wait to try em out! Thanks for the video. What are those minis you used by the way? I like em.
they're from beyond the gates of antertes
That gloss black is going to make a great base coat for some Turbo Dork color shifting paint.
Candy-painted minis (or even gunpla)?
Yes, please!
Yeah that sounds tasty!
Awesome job
Thank you ~!
Might have to give these a try when I do my Full Metal Panic Arm Slaves. Good work you two!! Also, Ive done masking for ages and Im still making mistakes lol
Nice, thanks man. You'll probably like them!
This video legit just made me feel more confident with trying mine out! I just need to finish building my spray booth😅
nice, good luck!
Very informative video! Great job for her first airbrush by the way!
She says thank you!
i saw this on the Gpaint discord. such a good video, i been wanting to see other people using this paint, especially when is the first time that your GF airbrush, im in the course of start paiting my first gunpla, i got the airbrush from my GF and was looking into these paints.
Thanks! That's great she got you an airbrush; it has some challenges to learn, and safety to consider, but is a very useful tool!
Your style of presentation is awesome!
The scratch tests were hard to watch. 😄 Great vid!
Another banger! Testing the scratch resistance had me fall out my seat haha
Lmao glad I can keep you on your toes!
So it doesnt need to be thinned?
No, but you can do so depending on your needs
