Had the turrets not wasted time shooting dead targets, it wouldn't have even been close. I wonder if this programming is intentional or the result of a delayed trigger.

Pretty sure is intentional to mimic an artificial targeting system. Like ED-209 kept shooting Mr. Kenney even after he was just a red pulp.

It's a part of their certain weird behaviour.
If the turret is active and at a very low health, it will enter the "panic mode" where it starts shooting in random directions until it breaks by itself. It's hard to trigger intentionally and it doesn't seem to work always

thats all I could think about watching the turrets follow them all the way down and continue to shoot for another second or two.
if they all picked separate targets and didnt follow them down im sure that the turrets would win when the numbers are at a 4:1 in favour of the aliens.
