- Nirvana Shatakam, composed by Adi Shankaracharya over a thousand years ago, is one of the most well known among Sanskrit chants. Sadhguru looks at the significance of the chant and explores what is being conveyed through it.
Sadhguru: Nirvana means "formless."
The Nirvana Shatakam is towards this - you don’t want to be either this or that. If you don’t want to be this nor that, then what do you want to be? Your mind cannot understand this because your mind always wants to be something. If I say, “I don’t want to be this; I don’t want to be that,” you would think, “Oh something super!” Not super. “Oh, so emptiness?” Not emptiness. “Nothingness?” Not nothingness.
That’s what is being conveyed through this chant.

Few weeks ago I had a dream of a large cow/bull chasing me, almost running after me! I tried to hide behind the walls and trees and what not. The cow/bull was furious. Next day morning I was down with fever, but I shared my dream with my parents. My mother shared the story of my dream to her sister(my maasi). She said it might be Nandi. May be, years ago I had started to worship Lord Shiva and then I stopped!
Ater listening to her every Monday I worship Him and chant "Om Namah Shivaay" 108 times daily without fail, but the dream was scary though!

That is because when we merging ourselves with Shiva..then we aren't following karmayoga..there are many ways to attain liberation...1) karma yoga 2)Jana yoga 3) Rāja yoga 4) bhakti yoga... it's not like doing mantra japs and pilgrimage,performing ritual, reading scriptures are bad or wrong..as these are form of the types of yoga.. don't try to preach when you don't even know what Sanatan dharma is...people like you can never understand the depth and vastness of such a rich and ancient philosophy of Sanatan dharma with your restricted thoughts.
Life is much more complicated than you imagine my friend. Even the type of devotion monotheistic religions follow is a certain type of yoga (one of many ways) to attain liberation. You think you're all that different but in the end you're following sanatan dharma (knowingly or unknowingly)

I found it mysterious and vague to me how life has extreme polarity there’s who is freeing them self from body and all names of belonging on contrast there’s who try to anchor into the body and accept the emotions and all things as life it is. I wonder what is the difference, each path where is takes you. We need Atlantic and laumerian together, we need to connect the unknown to the known, the physical to the none physical. Soul in human body. Yes feelings spiritual is awesome but that can’t achieve by itself going up high without manifesting there in here
