Man I just installed the TB143 kit (just cylinder and piston) on my 2022 klx 110 RL with the 26mm mikuni carb, made sure my timing was right, tdc lined up at the flywwheel and the cam gear, yet for some reason she wont fire and is blowing air out of the intake when trying to start, rather than sucking air 😭. Local Kawi shop wont touch modified bikes so Im on my own

Without seeing it, I would start with double checking timing and cam lobe placement. Then check valve lash. With those symptoms it sounds like the intake valve is open when it’s supposed to be closed.

@@bubbzification thx for the response bro. If the intake valve is open when its supposed to be closed, how would I fix that? Let me when you get a chance, i appreciate it. No rush, wont be messing with it again til next weekend

If the valve is open when it’s supposed to be closed, then your cam timing is 180 out or the lash is too tight and not letting it close.

@@bubbzification excuse my lack of knowledge but what exactly does 180 out mean. If the line on the cam sprocket is lined up with the line on the head, and the T line on the flywheel is lined up with the line on the case (at 9:00) is it possible to still be out of time even though both of those are lined up?

@@bubbzification Someone on planetminis forum just suggested that when i set the timing, with the tensioner removed of course, that i need to remove the slack from the timing chain with my finger untill the tensioner is reinstalled (sounds like would need 2 people) otherwise hes saying if you set the time with slack in the chain and then reinstall the tensioner, its going to take you a tooth or 2 back out of time. All the countless videos I've watched of 143 installs I've never seen someone mention that. Did you have to do anything like that?
