    I'm 26 and just now started reading them. A part of me feels robbed of good books to read in my teen years, but I'm also glad I have found books that actually keep me hooked for the first time in a long time. Most books I barely finish because I get so easily bored. These books are so fast paced and the atmosphere is quaint and very warm in despite of the mystery and murder and theft and such. The boys and their friends and parents are all adorable and it is a great world to escape to.

    I am 67, soon to be 68, and I remember the Hardy Boys from the 1960's well and fondly.

    Very Cool Collection!!!! I donated most of my collection to my hometown library this past year as their books were looking pretty worse for the wear, hopefully kids will enjoy them as much as I did.

    I'm not sure if stumbling across this video was a good thing or a dangerous thing. The Hardy Boys was the book series that really got me into reading in the late '70s in elementary school. The school library had the brown hard cover editions. I don't remember any of them having dust jackets. Several years ago I collected a few of the books from that era. This video makes me want to go through the ones I've collected, figure out exactly which versions I have, and collect more. I've also collected the various TV adaptations.

    I am 29 and just start reading the Hardy Boys books. I'm on the second one and I'm thoroughly enjoying them. I love series that came out in the mid '70s.

    I used to just love read both the Hardy Boys and Alfred Hitchcock the Three Investigators when I was a kid. It's the only thing I go to read in my school library back in those days I particularly like Robert Arthur's Three Investigator stories which I couldn't find anywhere anymore in my country

    Woow. Wonderful video. I have so many questions I don't know where to start. It is a wonderful way to spend your free time. But only if you have money unfortunately. Like anything else, if it's a hidden gem or its just good, it will eventually be bought up and unattainable for the average person.

      may be willing to answer a few questions?

    Hi there, is there any way to read the original writings of these books? (without buying first editions)

    • @boyse4214
      @boyse4214 5 років тому

      Yes you can get them on ebay or some bookstores for a few dollars. Most aren't worth that much so its not hard.

      @@boyse4214 Thank you, it seems they have gone through many renditions. This was a great video. Thank you for that. Girl Sleuth: Nancy Drew and the Women Who Created Her was a great story of how Nancy Drew evolved from the Hardy Boys.

      Of the book has MORE than 181 pages and is one of the first 40, you can be sure of a orig story.
