With the deadline date is fast approaching for the supportive letters & emails to back the two revolutionary planning applications for LTFC which are for the whole of the district of Luton and surrounding counties here are some comments from Luton Town fans. Are there many people out there that don't want us a new stadium? Having spoken to 100's of people (Fans and residents of Luton) and had three or four that have been negative about wanting this to happen, but really everyone is FULLY behind these plans.
I've been supporting Luton since the 60s & a stadium move has been talked about since the 70s. A new stadium will give the Club & town a huge uplift but I have reason to believe that Luton Borough Council are going to fudge the application on 16 January. Expect Power Court to get the go ahead but Newlands Road will be rejected. In real terms LBC are turning their backs on the Club & its many supporters.
*It's a must* This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the club and the town to take one giant step forward. I cannot see why anybody would be opposed to this. Of course 'Kenny' will always be remembered with affection and some great memories, but look at the clubs who we competed against in the old Second Division in 1973 for example., a large percentage of those have moved to bigger grounds. If the club wants to compete at the higher levels then we need more revenue. How many times have we gone into administration in the last 20 years? If we want to compete at the higher sporting level then we need to be able to compete at a higher financial level also!
