I'm Catholic and I had my wife’s funeral mass at the Church and visitation at the funeral home the night before. Her viewing was very well attended remember that was 2016. The burial was private. I like the black Americans funeral they are so lively and upbeat. My wife was a upbeat person.
When I read a lot of comments, it reinforces my decision not to have a funeral service. A service is all about the family. It is about supporting the family during their loss. People complain about everything, and that lets me know that their heart is not in the right place. My sympathy, and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time. May God bless, and stregnthen you.

A man who came to change the face of the "black church" family. God bless him and his family.He did what he was suppose to do. He completed his task, what about you what are you doing? He left many pieces for other people to survive on.
Did he leave a track record of sharing accurate scriptural teachings ?
People should stop hating on musicians. If by chance you could've done better then be humble. Trust me somewhere there's some one better than you.
God bless the family, I'm not hating on them but everyone can hear it's not played in good quality for such a man as this. The musicans are playing by reputation so they still sounded off and annoying that's why you have to pick the true ones with the anointing of god flowing through in song amen, just saying.

It's been a few years since this funeral and I came back to read some of the comments and so many people MISPOKE FACTS it is a shame. especially when they acted as if they KNEW what they were talking about. They misidentified people and hen blatantly scolded the wrong people; they complained about how the Bishops were dressed without understanding that those are clergy clothes not catholic clothes... Go back in time and you'll find Baptists and Methodists wearing them in the 17th Century and forward. Clothing has nothing to do with the condition of a person's heart or the active participation of their life in ministry to God. just a lot of babble and ignorance pretending to be wisdom. It bothers me when people think they're smart and everything they say can be disputed.
