Burk Parsons: Holding Fast

Hebrews 4:14 exhorts us to hold fast our confession in light of the person and work of Jesus Christ. Ultimately, what we are standing firm for is the truth regarding Christ so that we may confess this truth to the watching world. The creeds and confessions of the church help us to know, affirm, and proclaim this truth to others while maintaining purity of doctrine and peace among believers. What a great message by Dr. Parsons. I visited Andrew’s Chapel and was introduced to both RC Sproul and Burk Parsons in the parking lot prior to Dr. Sproul got in his car. My wife and children were with me. These two men were very gracious and took time to talk to me. Visited there on several occasions and even helped out one of their conferences. I attended the funeral of Dr. Sproul. I’m pastor of Volusia International Bible Fellowship in Orange City, Fl. A 15 minutes drive to Andrew’s.
