Yes, you can say whatever you want but this is just another level (UE5) maybe we will se even better stuff in the future since they said they will release new products
so why can't we see full dynamic lighting like today? I saw it in 2007 SoC and I liked it I dont see it in 2024 in S2 and it looks funny. Oh and don't tell me about that flashlight mod for S2, its miles away from whats shown on the video
@@HvalaTiArkane Gamma is just another mod for stalker, same as Anomaly. What is your thought process? Gamma should be banned or is it a heresy in a stalker world?
xray is impressive to this day but just because stalker 2 doesnt have casting shadows from flashlight by default, it doesnt mean the engine doesnt support it. U can literally enable them in stalker 2 by activating the console and entering some commands and most visual missing features or issues in that game are on the devs lack of experience, not on the engine's capabilities. cool video tho

Flashlight in Stalker 2 feels like Skif strapped his pda as a flashlight to his forehead. I have a cheap headlamp for working on my car from china that smokes whatever the hell he has. Oh and the lack of shadows is bothering me too
It's called the gamma setting, it will make your nights nice and dark. And also unplayable, but the lighting in the game is mostly fine, it's just missing the dynamic shadows from fires and flashlights. Also the flashlight's light cone has to be adjusted, should be more narrow and shine a bit further.

It's sad really. While you're comparing the two games and their engines can you do a comparison of AI spawn radius? In S2 you can use any settlement with friendly NPCs and from 100m go backwards with scope on them. You'll see how they despawn. Compare it to vanilla Stalker.

Again, its no where near quality of xray engine dynamic lighting system
X ray definitely beats UE5 in performance
the nights are so much more immersive and scarier on anomaly/gamma
And more realistic also, a flashlight in real life is like in anomaly not like in stalker 2.
Dark night setting for the win. Heart attack simulator.
