Before the final clean up u have to pick up all the asbestos material and also get a visual inspection form the air monitor than u can remove the 6 mil poly and off the floor leave the critical barriers up than he can run a pcm or TEM it depends on how big the job is and samples

A third party technician should have conducted a visual inspection before the clearance was started. So unless the Tech was blind, he/she would have had them remove the trash, run the vac again, etc.. The picture was probably taken before the clearance was conducted. My guess is either they made the video with whatever pictures and footage were provided to them, or they really wanted a shot of the PCMs.

I’ve never done a texture coat ceiling that wasn’t high risk. I’ve also never seen a texture coat ceiling get scraped off so ridiculously easy.

as long as its not painted it comes off pretty easy with a light misting of water, you just have to be patient with it. it shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes for the water to absorb into it.

Cut the plastic and spill the foam mixed with asbestos on the floor. leave bagged asbestos in the room rather than take it away.

They test for asbestos before to verify there is asbestos. The monitors are to verify the asbestos did no go airborne

this people are so stupid they don't know what they're doing first you have to put critical barriers on the windows and doors' vents you also have to cover the walls with two layers of plastic and three layers on the floor. one thing I didn't see in the job is a negative air machine and also they are wearing a hat and u can clearly see their clothes contaminated because the zipper on the protective suit is down. Also when the clean up is done the top layer should be removed and bottom layer which is the clean one is supposed to stay in place until final clearances so the existing walls and floors do not get contaminated. Sorry to say it but these people are endangering their lives and possibly contaminating the environment outside of their work area because you can clearly see that there are no plastic barriers on the windows, unless I am blind.

Hi Marco. We would be glad to discuss this more if you could show us where in the OSHA regulations you have to cover the walls with two layers of plastic and three layers on the floor. Unfortunately many people do not truly know the regs, they just go by old work practices and do not take into account NEAs or AACMs and just want to assume a lot of things.

any over head removal is considered automatic high risk. 3 stage with shower, neg air, 6 mil poly on all surfaces. no street clothes on under tyvek either and no half masks. you need a papr with p100 filters for a job like that. also without 2 layers of 6 mil on the ground, how can you say the guy cutting the polly up and folding it didnt get a little on the floor? also you need to wipe all surfaces and poly down post abatment , pre air clearance.

This system doesn't allow a Sigler fiber to go airborne. This company is one of the world's best abatement specialists in the world. I would have loved to work with this company when I was doing abstment. These guys make it an elegant process which is rarely seen.
