No , he did not. Only neurosurgeon is made. Neurosurgeon and neurologist are difference and in charge of difference aspects for the patients who have neurological problems even though neurosurgery resident has the same training as neurologist. Vica versa , Neurologist can't operate ! It's like group internal medicine vs surgery tgt in nuerology. It's different !
I respect the hell out of trauma surgeons. You have to be a jack of all trades, and to think quickly on your feet while the person you’re trying to help is nearly dead. Nothing can be more stressful... I couldn’t do that
So you wanna be fetal/ped surgeon. From both obgyn and general surgeon routes. From prenatal to postnatal intervention. Also , including neonatal aspects to take care of newborn
This seems like the perfect field for me. I have been working in various ERs over the past 3 years and the fast pace and unpredictability is exactly what I love about emergency medicine but in this case it includes the surgical element which has always fascinated me. OMG, you know, I really want to study medicine, I'm on that path but I've never thought too much in specialities, like, I am the type of thinking that along the way of the career I'll discover what I am born for and I still think like that bc everything sounds great BUT I just watched this and suddenly I felt this "life discovery", like just the thinking of doing it amazes me, you know, my eyes are literally sparkling, maybe is what you call "the calling", I'll put it in my list of potencial future speciality for me. Great video Kevin! Have you considered doing a PhD vs MD? I don’t mean a MD/PhD combined but how very different the two degrees actually are (and how a double doc is very different from a straight-on PhD). Would raise some eyebrows perhaps. Keep up the good work
I’d love to see episodes about less known carrers within medicine (that still deal with patients, not administrative, even though would be a nice addition at some point), the careers that are often forgotten and med students don’t really know are an option

They are very different. An emergency med doctor might do small procedures but will never take a patient back into the operating room.
