Garage Door Weather Stripping [Stop water from running into Garage]

- I bought "Jin&Bao Universal Garage Door Threshold Seal Strip, Bottom Weather Stripping Replacement Rubber Waterproof 20 FT Length" from Amazon.com, and in this video, I review the product and fully install it.
The problem I am trying to solve is we have been getting water even though our barn door is closed. In addition, during the winter snow has been coming through the bottom during the winter months.
If you are on the fence about this product from Amazon my hope is this video will help you out.

You know what I would do is read the instructions and put the stripping the right way, “two yellow lines face outward”.

yep installed the wrong way, the strip should be facing inward behind the door, inside the garage and not to the outside, but whatever floats your boat!
Yup lots of folks have pointed that out. I just try to be relatable as a person who makes mistakes, big difference is I record mine and share them for entertainment
I just bought three 10 footers from Amazon. I too have water coming inside below the roll-up doors. Each of my 10 foot strips came with its own 10 oz tube of black waterproof adhesive. I have no clue if these weather strips are worth their money but I think my strips came with a pictured diagram and I think they stated how to place them inside your entrance. Have you had any issues with your weather strip since you installed it?
Well…shortly after I put mine in I drove the tractor out of the building and didn’t realize the box blade was down and essentially tore mine out. A company sent me one in exchange of making a UA-cam video but I haven’t done that yet.

Why?
Numerous commenters have already mentioned you installed your “Jin&Bao Universal Seal Strip” backwards yet you continue to collect funding from UA-cam. When installed backwards, rainwater streaming down the outside of the garage door will be directed towards the inside of your garage.
At 1:23 minutes, using the Jin&Bao Amazon page, take a look at the 5th photo from the left. This is the correct orientation of the threshold seal.
Wonder how many viewers have made the same installation error based on your video.?
On top of the “backwards” error …. in this category, you still win the Worse YT Video Award 👎🫣👎 for NOT showing 1) better method to prepare concrete floor for glue (sand, wash, vacuum), 2) how to clean bottom of seal with rubbing alcohol, 3) how ends of seal should go under & outside of garage door metal rails, 4) how 100% waterproof construction adhesive should be selected (not Loctite Power Grab indoor rated glue where even Loctite’s data sheets reads “Limitation, Not suitable for permanently damp or underwater areas”, I used Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive 266 ml / 9 oz tube. ,5) how pencil lines should be drawn on both sides of seal, 6) how glue should be applied more evenly to the concrete floor so both inside and outside edge of seal are securely glued down.
As one of your commenter’s said, “find a better video”.

P.S. The Jin&Bao threshold seal works great, especially if you also install the matching Jin&Bao Garage Door Bottom Weather Stripping Rubber Seal at the same time . I pushed a 1/2 inch garden hose into that circular section to fill it out the full length of the bottom seal. I’m now 100% waterproof during windy rainstorms.
been looking at these for months now, mainly to help "seal" out cold air in winter in a heated shed. I can barely see some daylight with door closed, do you think this would help for that. Love your commentary by the way
Just purchased that strip, and picture in the directions show strip facing the other way. Although when i did the installation on my garage doors it made more sense and worked better to install the strip the way it was done in this video. Seems the type of rubber gasket on garage door might determine which way to install the floor strip.
I accidentally ripped it up by driving out of the building and forgot a box blade was sitting on the ground. A company sent me there product so I plan to make a new video hopefully “doing it right”
